Dear Aswathy first thing is you should continue monitoring blood sugar levels
because with single values we cannot decide anything.
Definitely control your diet as advised by doctor but if sugar values starts fluctuating then treatment should be initiated.

Dr എനിക്ക് ഒരു റിപ്ലേ തരണം പ്ലസ്. ഞാൻ നാട്ടിൽ അല്ല. ഞാൻ 7 month പ്രെഗ്നന്റ് ആണ്.6 മാസം കംപ്ലീറ്റ് ആകുന്നത് വരെ എന്റെ വയർ എല്ലാ ഗർഭിണികളെയും പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.7 month ആയതും പെട്ടെന്ന് belly ബട്ടൺ നു താഴേക്ക് വളരെ ലൂസ് ആയി..ഡെലിവറി കഴിഞ്ഞ വയറു പോലെ. ഇത് കാരണം നടക്കാനും പറ്റുന്നില്ല. വയറു തൂങ്ങുന്നു.Bellybutton നു മുകളിൽസാദാരണപ്രെഗ്നൻസി പോലെ. താഴെ കാലി ആയപോലെ. സ്കാൻ ചെയ്തപ്പോ ഇതുമായി 2 ലയറിൽ കോഡ് കുഞ്ഞിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ ചുറ്റിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതും ഇതും തമ്മിൽ എന്താ ബന്ധം. എന്താ എന്റെ വയറിനു സംഭവിച്ചത്. Dr നോട്‌ ചോദിച്ചുചപോ ഷേപ്പ് നോക്കണ്ട ന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോ പഞ്ചാബിലാണ്.എഎനിക്കാണേൽ നേരെ ഹിന്ദിയും അറിയില്ല.വല്ലാത്തൊരു അവസ്ഥയിലാണ്. Dr ഒരു മറുപടി തരണം

Hi sir,my GA is 28 wks + 5 days. I was prediabetic but came to know in my first trimester. Now I'm on Metformin,500 mg,BD. My PP is normal but I'm not able to control my FBS. My diet is controlled. Bcz of this diabetes,I have polyhydramnios also with AFI - 24.3. Could u plz suggest me some ideas for making my FBS into control. My FBS is deranged and always showing 101,99,105 and below 110. What to do
aleena christapher May require small dose of basal insulin like Levemir. Ask your diabetes specialist and may also consider CGM to make a decision.

Dear Ma'am, metformin is an approved drug for PCOD. The advantage of this drug is that it's not an insulin secretagogue, meaning it does not increase insulin secretion from the pancreas, and hence very little or no chance of hypoglycemia (low sugar). Hence, if doctor has suggested metformin therapy for PCOD, please continue taking it as per the doctor's advice.

Thank you for the query. Yes, definitely pregnancy is possible. One thing we need to remember is that the blood sugars should be under tighter control both before and during pregnancy than otherwise. We need to have more stringent targets during pregnancy. Please discuss with your Doctor or contact us for further advice on this.

Don’t panic. Your diabetologist and educator will give all advices. Tests will indicate whether it’s new onset or diabetes before pregnancy.

Dear Ma'am, if the mother has been closely monitored for blood sugars during pregnancy, and diabetes managed well during delivery time, such risks are at best minimal. Such complications arise only if diabetes is not well managed during pregnancy and delivery time.

Dear Ma'am, pregnancy is definitely possible with Type 1 diabetes. We have to ensure tight blood glucose control few months (3-6 months atleast) before conceiving and also during pregnancy. The target blood sugar values are significantly lower during pregnancy than otherwise. Uncontrolled blood sugars can cause fetal complications and difficult labor during pregnancy. Boys if you mean Diabetes is ther for the husband and whether it is a problem if wife gets pregnant.
Then definitely it is better to conceive or become pregnant once the Diabetes in Husband is under good control.
Usually uncontrolled diabetes in Husband or wife can result infertility.

OGTT will be doing in 24-28wks of pregnancy.
ഗർഭസമയത്ത് HbA1c നോക്കാറില്ല. OGTT ആണ് നോക്കുന്നത്.
OGTT ചെയ്യുന്നത് ഗർഭകാലത്തെ 24-28 ആഴ്ചക്കുള്ളിൽ ആണ്.
