This was the game they had to win to earn the right to truly get in the hunt with next week's game against Baltimore. This was the "have to have it" before next week's "must win." If you lose to Baltimore at home and drop to 1-4, that's that for the season. But, if you find a way to win and move to 2-3, you're right back in the thick of things...
Not impressive win since the defense looks shaky and joe burrow is not confident and not in sink with the receivers and so many check downs, how bad? Watch the next game against the Ravens
They need tackle drills. Pratt looking like a human pin ball. Hill freezes up and backs away from defender and doesn’t run through tackles. Geno Stone will be good. Why not play Jordan Battle? expecting CTB to bounce back. Scheme looked good. Kris Jenkins flashed. Really you just need better tackling and guys to get healthy. Then the defense will be OK. Hopefully that happens this week.
I was at that Eagles game where they scored twice in the Morrison Minutes. Tyler Eifert made a diving catch in the corner of the end zone directly below me. That was such a good game.
The Bengals are going to have to score 30+ every single game to have any chance at winning. They have the worse defense in the NFL. That unit cant stop anyone.
Why are they ranked 13th in the league through week 3? Sure, the eye test is HORRIBLE but it's not as bad as it seems. We had allowed 9 tds through week 3, the same number as the number 3 defense in terms of yards, Houston
Against the Ravens and in light of the DL injuries, I think they should switch to a 3-4 defense with Davis Gaither and Njungmeta on the field. I am far more concerned about the Ravens running than passing
Defense is absolutely atrocious!!! Yet no changes have been made . It comes a time we gotta put the blame on Lou for not trusting in the younger guys !! Bell n stone look slow out of position can’t tackle … Jordan Battle shld be starting every game !!! Jermaine Burton shld be starting !! Njongmeta shld be starting !! We’re going on week 5 and still haven’t figured out the right personnel to put on the field n that’s on Lou !! Slow vets that are on the decline need to come out and the young guys need to show what they can do !! No way this Bengal team wins against Baltimore unless major changes happen this week !!
the stat you just quoted is close but not correct Paul.... Since the 1970 merger, 154 teams have started 0-4. the 1992 Charger are the only team to make the playoffs after going 1-4... so there has been one, not zero still not a good stat 4sure....
Stop the mixon slander... mixon runs scott over in that situation... Scott is sorry period which is why he's not here... if it were Fitzpatrick from the squeelers than you might have a point but spot trying to justify the lame moves the bengals made. Mixon is killing it in Houston with a real oline and a good qb.. we couldn't beat them at this moment with our defense and we didn't beat the now...
