Disagree, last year’s offensive was so inefficient and the only reason u would say that is because of the weapons we had, other than that, offense was trash. We were 25th ranked in rushing yards and barely made the top 16 in passing yards. I would say offense from 2 years ago would give us more of a shot, but even then Lombardi was the OC at that time…
Last years offense? Nah we don’t remember the same season because last season our team was bad in all three phases. 2021 or 2022 for sure was scoring a lot of pts but of course our D consistently let the other team come back and win.
No DJ, No Bosa, no Alt and no Slater and they still had a chance to win. I’m happy. I do think that our passing game does not have the fire power and teams look at us and they just put 8-9 in the box to stop the run and dare us to try to go over the top with a deep pass and it looks like we can’t do this yet. It’s week 5 and maybe this will change for the better after the bye week. Until we can take the top off this will happen. Go chargers!!
before i watched this video. all I can think is is that Herbert needs time in the pocket. he literally has zero time and if he can't get time in the pocket he can't make plays. But THAT DEFENSE WAS SPECTACULAR. JESSE MINTER IS THE BEST DC IN THE LEAGUE
Exactly! Time in the pocket! Receivers can’t catch the ball if Herbert does not have enough time to throw to a receiver who has enough time to get open. And if the defense knows you can’t run the ball then they are pinning their ears back and going after Herbert.
Chargers need more depth in the offensive line and one or two star receivers. You get that in place and then watch out. We're one or two years away from achieving those goals. Of course, the coaches are going to try and win now, but don't forget, we're in a rebuilding year, as the last two games seems to indicate. In fact, we easily could have lost to the Raiders and be 1-3 right now...so just see the next two years as rebuilt years and we'll be much happier.

Even with our star tackles, the interior OL is straight garbage in pass protection. This needs to be addressed with a trade, or through the draft/FA in 2025.

The game went way better than I expected. The Defense is solid, the O-Line and running game are still getting it done, the play calling is good, but we still have a huge issue with Herbert, he continues to make many many bad/wrong decisions during everyone single game... yes, his arm talent is still elite, outstandingly strong arm and for the most part, extremely accurate, which is why he makes many of his bad decisions look like great plays, but even Tony Romo pointed out at least 5 plays that were simply Herbert making the wrong decision. I didn't expect this game to be close at all, and yet our defense proved to be better than I expected, and our offensive line even with 2 tackles missing (including Alt), was better than I expected. But, please go back and look at the "passing" plays that we got most of our yards from... they were designed screens, which means good play calling and plays that Herbert does not have to decide what to do with the ball. I'm still rooting my ass off for Herbert, but until he can constantly make the correct decision on the field, we will not be that great team. Even with coaching taking most of his decisions out of the game, defenses won't be fooled by this for very long. Herbert has to read the defense better on a more consistent basis, his physical talent is beyond there.
LADD McConkey is a good player and was a a good draft pick!!! Getting a high caliber WR is a good thing. Chargers do need a top 15!OL to win consistently. Grabbing Alt to go along with rather recent high draft picks Slater, and Zion was a great start. @@JoseAlvarez-el2vdNah I watched wins, perhaps if you weren’t so delusional and jaded to believe that nonsense you’d see the same game, but keep telling yourself whatever makes you smile
The defense played great but, the offense was, at best, lukewarm. Harbaugh's "TIP OF THE SPEAR", the offensive line, is pretty damn blunt. They sucked big time. We are at two and two right now and will be fortunate to end with a .500 record. Another season down the drain by week four! BTW - Justin Herbert is injury prone and has been throughout his career - even in his college days. So much for the touted strength coach that the Charger's hired. We might be better off with a less talented QB who might survive an entire season! I no longer watch the Chargers' games. I watch all the games at once on Red Zone and thus I am not inflicted through an entire game with the debacle that is the Chargers!
Justin could have done that too behind the Colts offensive line that paid their guard more money than the Chargers paid their whole offensive line this past game. Investment in the OL is really important. Chargers are getting there but they are not there yet. Also Colts center cap hit this year is 14,625,000 dollars.
Atther is delusional, he predicted the Chargers would win 27-24 on a last second 54 yard Dicker field goal. He said they will go 14-3 and win the Afc west. He is nothing but a attention seeking clown!
Herbert hasn’t looked the same in 2 years when are we gonna stop with these excuses? Are whole offense is a joke, Herbert doesn’t make plays like he used to how can people not see that. Also the director makes way to many excuses for this team and the qb, it’s crazy it’s delusion
Yall can say what you want, JUSTIN AINT IT! We saw Philip Rivers light up the stat sheet every week, he'd put up 340 yards and 3 tds, then throw an interception to lose the game. He couldn't close, and couldn't get us over the hump, didn't matter if he had a good or a bad team, he always played below the threshold of winning. Justin is the exact same. He's a loser, he loses games. He's lost so many 1 score games I lost count. Lets be honest, he has not been good since the lions game In nov. Last year he only had 2 games where he passed over 300 yards. Every other game he has been mediocre or trash. Injuries are part of the game, and he can't over come them. Joe flacco is 87 years old coming off the couch and outplays Justin. If we drafted herbert last year, we'd all be calling him a bust. He's been a subpar qb since the Jacksonville game. Who cares what he did his first 2 years, the last 2 and this year have been garbage. We don't need stats, we need results. Tank for Archie manning next year
Lol Herbert is perfectly fine and an amazing qb. He's ALWAYS had a shitty o line with Staley and Lindsey. He's done so much with literally seconds to react and actually can run and make a play in a emergency unlike rivers who was always scared to take more than 10 steps. We've seen what's possible under pressure multiple seasons and that's why he won offensive rookie of the year in 2020 and was immediate pro bowler. He is an amazing talent. With a good coach (now) and eventually with a clean salary cap this guy will destroy. You over sell rivers and under sell Herbert. You salty about something, but you're so fucking wrong.
“Almost…so close…if not for injuries..” blah blah. Same old rhetoric same old chargers. Tired of giving applause for us almost winning. Herbert dang near injury prone just Iike burrow at this point smh.

You sound dumb we had both our cornerstone tackles out qb on one leg, star SS out and Edge rusher missing one of our starting WR in DJ chark and the chargers had the chiefs on the ropes and blew it 🤣 if the chargers had all those boys healthy they would have blown out the chiefs with EASE
Even tho its not the same chiefs their still winning And we're still losing
first 4 games, Defense looks legit, offense like a Joke. Herbert has NOT looked good so far. J K Dobbins has been the entire offense so far. Also, NOT impressed with Greg Roman. Seriously, pass on 4th and 1 at the 3? RUN it. if ya get one yard but not the TD , it's 1st and goal at the 2.
I think them getting stuffed on 3 and 1 and 3rd and 2 like 3 times earlier in the game scared Roman to run it
You look like you're about to keel over Director...
The chiefs are playing bad and are still 4-0😂😂😂
Wait til it clicks
Thanks to their paid Zebras , watch all those games , if anything they most likely be 2-2 as well 😂
@@JoseAlvarez-el2vdNah I watched wins, perhaps if you weren’t so delusional and jaded to believe that nonsense you’d see the same game, but keep telling yourself whatever makes you smile
Hate to say it but I think the Steelers are the team to beat I know the Colts did Go Chargers
This offense is absolutely TRASH. I just watched Joe Flacco came off the bench to hang 27 points on the Steelers.
Justin could have done that too behind the Colts offensive line that paid their guard more money than the Chargers paid their whole offensive line this past game.
Investment in the OL is really important. Chargers are getting there but they are not there yet. Also Colts center cap hit this year is 14,625,000 dollars.
1st comment let’s go!
Atther is delusional, he predicted the Chargers would win 27-24 on a last second 54 yard Dicker field goal. He said they will go 14-3 and win the Afc west. He is nothing but a attention seeking clown!
Herbert should request a trade and go to a team that wants to throw the ball and get a fresh start.
Herbert hasn’t looked the same in 2 years when are we gonna stop with these excuses? Are whole offense is a joke, Herbert doesn’t make plays like he used to how can people not see that. Also the director makes way to many excuses for this team and the qb, it’s crazy it’s delusion
All you fans talking smack can jump off the bandwagon now.Dont ask to get on the bus later...dont need , dont want ya 😉✍️
Tank for Archie manning next year
an average dude calling Herbert a loser…where do we even start with this guy?
You dummies don’t know football 🤣
Facts brotha!!!
@@nicknecochea-f9c you think Herbert’s a loser😂?
“Almost…so close…if not for injuries..” blah blah. Same old rhetoric same old chargers. Tired of giving applause for us almost winning. Herbert dang near injury prone just Iike burrow at this point smh.
Not dang nearr he is injury prone hasn’t looked the same in a long time, gotta start having that convo
@@nicknecochea-f9c Agreed. They try to sell us every year on a healthy Herbert, but then he’s chronically injured by game 2 lol or earlier.
At least Herbert is still going out there. 1 leg or not. What's Bosa up to?
@@superdave4543 not talking about bosa, plus he should be off the team. Herbert is way to injury prone
You should comment less. Learn the game and come back. Only casuals would blame Herbert right now frfr
Hope they tie. LETS GO RAAIIDDEERRSS
