You are killing me with this video Rob!😂 It probably has a high volume oil pump in it which would explain the higher oil pressure. Idle is great, but 75psi+ just free revving is probably a little much. TA sells an adjustable oil pressure regulator which, if you don't have one already, is a cheap and an easy install.
My best bud owned a 1972 Skylark in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Had a seriously built Buick 350 that roasted tires easily. What great machine it was to roam the streets in our university town. Good times, great cars.
I remember the old GS 400/455 and yes the GNX, each GM company had their own version of 'muscle cars'. Back then it probably ran 15 flat or something very close to that, i had a friend in the mid 70's that had a 70 SS 396/350 Chevelle with 331 gears and a 4 speed which was dead stock, barely got into the 14's. 13's at 100+ was pretty quick in those days
Is it going to be another candidate to give Nick Southgate a call at Maple motors? I could see them grabbing this for the right price definitely putting a markup on it.
BIG MISTAKE??? You're kidding, right??? These cars are WAY COOL. Currently, I have a '69 GS 350/ram air I've owned for the last 15 years. I've owned 58 vehicles so far in my life, including about 20 muscle cars, and I'm NOT a CAR DEALER!!! Have had several GM A-Bodies over the years...Skylarks/Chevelles/Novas/ Cutlass/1st gen Monte Carlos etc... Every bit as nice as a Chevelle/GTO/ or Cutlass, but BUICK is more luxurious and often can be had for MUCH LESS than their other GM Cousins!!! This one you have here is definitely a nice looking one, even as a clone (EVERYONE throws "SS" badges on ANY Chevelle/Camaro and Nova you will ever see for sale!!)This just looks like a fun car!!! How much are you going to ask for it??? Just curious...Thanks!!
@georgegbalzano9239 lol I absolutely love the car the big mistake was me buying it to flip lol. It's a really good car I've been a fan of these buicks for many years
Cool Buick man. I’d be curious what it would do on a chassis dyno before and after the bigger exhaust and improved intake ect. Headers are cool but after watching the cars in the FAST series drag racing doing 9s or 10s WITH exhaust manifolds is insanely impressive. They are usually stroked and have big roller cams but still! Either way sweet Buick!
Very nice! I had a 69 GS 400 about 9 years ago. Black on Black and white interior. Loved that car! Wish I still had it.

Big mistake? It's beautiful!
Big mistake because he buys to flip but he has fallen in love with it lol.
The big mistake is no 4 speed trans.

Great car man! I had a 72 skylark when 17! 350 but it always got me to and from.. But I sold it after 6mo ths of driving. Really good old car!
My dad bought a 68 new. We travelled all over the country in it.
1972 GS's had rectangular cutouts for exhaust however I can't say for sure if it was on all GS models or Stage1's or what. Neat look.
nicest car ever seen. it took a lot of work to get it in shape. nice car. enjoy it!!!
I don't see it as a big mistake. Nice ride!
Nice car!! sounds healthy too!
Nothing wrong with clones...cars you can have more fun with
Nick would have tried the horn last lol..Nice car.
Awesome Buick! Thanks for posting!
Correction: good mistake. Sweet ride.
No way you could drive a real 72' GSX, that is very rare car.
They are going north of 100K!
Sounds like a Q-Jet :)
It does

😅
@truckerkevthepaidtourist I am thinking of talking to them. Those guys are a pleasure to deal with and always give me my asking price.
and I think he sold it to Maple Motors in Hendersonville Tn. along with a 1966 Tempest due to a house fire. Hope all is good.
You want to quit closing the doors by using the windows, asked me how I know😂
Great. I had a black one in the 90s.

I would love to have the manifolds ported to flow better
I like it.
What’s the “big mistake part”?
@@DuaneSeidr I say it in the video.
No trailer hitch.
What cha want for it???
It’s nice 😊
Took you long enough to do a video on this car!!!
I grew up driving one.how much man.come on please.
Ditto on the last comment. This car’s rear end is classic. Spoiler reeks.
It’s called a horseshoe shifter.
Why would you sell that beauty....clone or not.
ua-cam.com/video/4A5Bj9qMMIE/v-deo.htmlsi=_SkWcTFSlOHWvn2D glad there is some Buick power back in that garage!
Ditch the stripe and spoiler.
Spoiler looks like butt! Landau is wimpy, too. I have '67 drop top....probably trade ya'
Skylark is a better looking car than Chevelle in 72, behind the gto . Sorry olds you come in last place
Do not care for the wing
I'LL TAKE IT OFF YOUR HANDS!!!
First like !!!
LOL
Those Buicks in that era were oil burners. Hurst scheme?
