Great vids, I really enjoy them. Your way of looking at the martial art as a means of having a choice to defend is something I really like and admire. Keep up the great work, I am looking forward to seeing more of your content! :)

I love your videos. Great practical defense. I teach Karate and also trained Aikido for a number of years. I try to keep it about practical self-defense and your videos are great. This move is a typical Karate rising block in front stance followed by reverse punch to the solar plexus.

That little point you are talking about in the solar plexus is called the ' exiphoid process' or something like that, It is a tiny little bone or appendage that hangs below the ribs.. Very painful.

It appeared to me you're hitting a bit high on the sternum. It's most effective to punch the xiploid process on the lower part of their sternum. (The little bone in the center). A smaller person can break the xiploid process. When this bone is broken, every breath is painful. It's important to use a vertical fist (as you performed). The top two knuckles making contact on the xiploid process delivers more force to the spot.

I keep it simple, Aikido is BS and everybody who trains a full contact Martial Art will simply woop your ass. Aikido is okay as additional Martial Art but it's unreliable as self defence. And that won't change as long as the practicioners aren't honest.
