I know it’s been 4 years since you posted this video, but I just found you and I love it! I found colored 2mm aluminum wire at Daiso of all places! I learned from you and measured 6 and 9 inch swirls and they layer perfectly. I used a larger jump ring to join them together and a smaller one to attach to hook. I used my nylon pliers to hold while I swirled so I wouldn’t scratch the color. I absolutely love it! Got a bunch of different colors so going to make different combinations. Thank you!
I have bad arthritis and a fussed thumb and I thank the Lord for aluminium. These are so beautiful and what a easy project. I think I'm going to embellish them with beads or my paper beads. Thanks again Matt you rock!
I have to say I truly admire what you do and how you do it...you have an idea and see where it takes you a bit like you are creating , not following instructions.
These are stunning! Ur channel is growing more & more daily and so are ur beautiful treasures u share w us! Thanku for being my fav male designer! 👍🏽✨😎✨😘✨👑
i'm so with Judy Ptak! I want to hate aluminum but it's just so damn EASY!! I am sick of the wrestling matches I keep losing with large gauge copper and silver. Thanks for the enlightenment, as always!
Make sure you are getting Dead Soft Silver and Copper. If you work it a lot, consider annealing it halfway with a propane torch, water, Sparex pickling solution, and a baking soda dip to neutralize. This gets the metal soft again. Aluminum is a lovely metal with a shine that is not as shrill as silver, so I prefer it. Its also non tarnish! But if you shine it up using radial wheels or rubber silicone discs on a Dremel, it can have a high shine too.
Dammit! I sooooo wanted to be an aluminum wire snob! lol Tried Aluminum today to make these and Aluminum is wonderful! Just ordered a bunch....Thx for your awesome tutorials!
I love these! In the past I made a similar set of earrings, but mine were different! Ha the same, but different. Yours are fun and lighter since they are large and aluminum. 😍
Your jewelry doesn't look like assemblyline made in China stuff / it's deff unique. Now I know what to buy to put it all together and I already have a lot of jewelry items but didn't have the glue and ideas you gave me. Now I know what kind of glue to get and the aluminum wire. People are willing to pay a little more for hand crafted jewelry instead of the China made Walmart cheep junk. Thanks Matt...
Your model looks like a famous American actress...but I don't remember the name!!! Anyway: beautiful work and a good idea too! I'm gonna try with brass and copper!
I have made several pairs of swirled earrings in the last couple of years.I made each of the three sections with a different color and I used aluminum. I think it’s actually called anodized aluminum. Mine are smaller than the ones you made. Yours are the only ones I’ve seen made like this. I have never done much hammering, just a little to work harden, but not to flatten. You do beautiful work, and I am subscribed.
I've noticed that when I make them they are a bit flimsy and I'm wondering if it is because I'm using a different gauge size.. also wondering how to get the consistency of the swirl
Love that hammered look on aluminum! These are very lovely and tribal looking. In fact, when you hammer colored anodized aluminum, the color shifts a bit to let out the aluminum color underneath and its a very nice effect, like a patina. I wish aluminum came in square wire. Anyone know of such?
I don't know if you mentioned it in the video but how large is your hammer and how much does it weigh? Because I have a hammer but ive tried hammering 12 gauge aluminum wire and it's absolutely did not work, probably because the head of it was too small or it was too light.
Why don’t you just do the swirl first to the size you want without cutting the wire, then cut it when you get to the size you want, then do the small lope?
i dip my tools in tool magic it takes the place of the tape .it is like a rubber coating that stays on until u take off .works great .u can get it at beadbuddy.com or amazon
Your tutorials are awesome, you need to stay in the camera so that people that's watching, can see your measurements. Unless you going to start listing your measurements💋
I need to stop watching your videos and make some swirlies myself, I mean they are so easy and beautiful.
I've found it easier to avoid scratching coated wire by wrapping a little masking tape around each side of my pliers. Really cute earrings! 💗
PS. I love your humor and creativity!

I loved these then and still love them now! ❤

Love the simplicity of these, and the blending of different colored wire! Beautiful 😊

I'd be happy with just one part of that earring Love the copper 😊 I just don't wear large earrings anymore Love it simple Less is more

I think I can do these! I will post my attempt!
These are fun and artsy looking...and you have that mixed wire colors I've been wanting to see.
I absolutely love those earrings, Gorgeous!
I've put this on my favourite videos list. Got to get that wire. Thanks so much for showing us.
Those swirl hammered 3 layered earrings are gorgeous, Mat! SB 9:38
Yay !!! I am loving aluminum....silver is expensive and hard to manipulate thanks for these....so pretty !!!😎💟
When you showed these last night I thought they were great...the triple metals really work..great job
Thanks!

Hey Matt, these earrings are gorgeous! Thanks post making this video. You've inspired me. I'm trying this!
I will make these, but smaller. Where my work is now there isn’t a market for large dangling earnings. You are the best.
Dammit! I sooooo wanted to be an aluminum wire snob! lol Tried Aluminum today to make these and Aluminum is wonderful! Just ordered a bunch....Thx for your awesome tutorials!
Really fab and cool . A matching pendant would be a great trio huh 🤔
LOVE these. I'm going to attempt them with a 3mm jasper stone in the middle of each swirl.
I like these earrings. Really nice color combo. Very cool!

I absolutely love these! I happen to have silver aluminum and some other wire that would work and I made a pair. Thank you, I love your creations!
Did your swirls warp at all? I hammered mine and they went all wakey on me.
Love these can't wait to make them, love to watch , Awesome!
That’s a great idea. I love mixed metals.

I love these! In the past I made a similar set of earrings, but mine were different! Ha the same, but different. Yours are fun and lighter since they are large and aluminum. 😍

Awesome!
Love your tutorial I will try some. Were do you buy your colored wire. (purple)
I've noticed that when I make them they are a bit flimsy and I'm wondering if it is because I'm using a different gauge size.. also wondering how to get the consistency of the swirl
Super cute🤩👍👏👏👏

It comes in flat wire
Love these earrings but could you not just work from the pool until you get the correct size?
Spool? I would not work on this in a pool
@@MattsCrazyArt whoops! Yes very difficult in a pool! But would a spool work?
What hammer and anvil is best. Didn't you one time go to a hardware store and buy some wire? What gauge was it, ty.
I think your 2 smallest spirals came out uneven because the starting loop is bigger in one than the other.
Love ❤️ love ❤️ love ❤️
Can you tell us how much you would sell these for?
Maybe $15-$22 depending on the market
I don't know if you mentioned it in the video but how large is your hammer and how much does it weigh? Because I have a hammer but ive tried hammering 12 gauge aluminum wire and it's absolutely did not work, probably because the head of it was too small or it was too light.
Any hammer works for aluminum for me.
Maybe you had a harder metal.
My swirls warped when I hammered them. What did I do wrong?
Bend them back. They're not the boss of you
@@MattsCrazyArt I tried but they are still wakey. I think I used a smaller wire than I should have. Thank you😁
Beautiful 😘
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤!!!!!!!
Why don’t you just do the swirl first to the size you want without cutting the wire, then cut it when you get to the size you want, then do the small lope?
Matt if you put blue painter's tape on your tools it will not mark your wire that's what I do.. Plus I made this but made a Pendant and I love it.
i dip my tools in tool magic it takes the place of the tape .it is like a rubber coating that stays on until u take off .works great .u can get it at beadbuddy.com or amazon
@@raicosby6997 Think I will get me some think I saw it at Michaels
Or FIND SOMONE WITH HYDRAULIC PRESS

👍🏻
Just was wondering, Matt, why don't you make your own ear wires? They are so much cheaper and you can customize them. I make all.of mine.
They're more trouble, they're not uniform and they're weaker.
I keep seeing LT. O HURA WARING these ( Trekkie Fams) possible spelling off don't Troll me
Definitely made me chuckle with the dancing at a party comment lol
