The main reason why middle eastern militants are tough to fight is they adapt they use systems like these which can destroy most advanced tanks and armored vehicles even many African armed groups use toyata which have machine gun or anti tanks systems mounted on them many people don't even know how much crucial these systems are

Weaker armies prefer gorilla warfare as its cheaper, effective and sustainable.
Indian army is trying a mix of it against China.
In case of Pakistan going big was an easy option cuz ceasefire was generally announced by west but in case of China it will be vetoed.
Indian defence sector cannot sustain long term war with China so gorilla tactics become really important.

Few corrections/suggestions -
1. CQMH Abdul Hamid - Company quarter master havildar
2. HEAT rounds are used against Tanks & not against helicopters.
A kind of top attack HEAT round is used against both armour and helicopter since it has a proximity sensor.
Goosebumps everytime i hear PVC Abdul hamid's name.
ATGM could have been SPIKE or AMOGH or MPATGM.. but also emptying soviet ATGM out of inventory without compromising supply chain and, from ground-up, induction of new and advanced ATGM.. the step seems sensible
Like 2nd ATGM is very much needed like 3rd Gen ATGM is not economically viable

We need at least 10000 bmp2 with better side and top protection equipment with night vision and Atgm better engine (500hp) .
Milan & Konkur are 2nd gen ATGMa (wired). They have to keep pointing the target for it to hit the Tank. Once the missile is fired, the location is compromised. It would be great to have fire and forget missiles on top of these ASLV

It's good to see Jeep mounted Anti Tank systems but I think we should focus more on small Jeep or bike mounted loitering munitions .
Drones and loitering munitions and Anti-drone systems would be the mainstay for any future warfare .

I would like to point out that the range of tank gun is not 2 km even in direct fire mode. The sabot round loses its effectiveness as this is a kinetic round with no explosive at around 1.5 -2 km because it loses its velocity hence the penetration power. The challenger and Arjun HESH rounds were designed to be effective at around 4km. In indirect fire mode tank guns can easily reach 10kms.
Positive development. Good that we are thinking smart solutions. These will be deadly esp for mountainous regions.
Just wondering if we should go for caterpillar track based similar lightweight systems (I mean lighter than tanks) for deserts.

@@mayanksingh8657 I was thinking something even lighter, like they used to have in WW2 era, where trucks used to have caterpillars. But you are right. There is no point in reinventing the wheel. Namica (which is mounted on BMP2) is light enough for the duty.

US army is global army. They take part in almost every war. Indian Army's prime objective is the protection and security of Indian borders only.
Wrong...they have a huge number of vehicles already in service...then they also procured 2500 QRFVs, 60+ Kalyani M4s, and 1300 Mahindra ASLVs...They are also working on procuring JSW Gecko, 800 LAMVs and 1000+ Light Vehicles...besides they will further order more QRFVs, M4s, and ASLVs...total would be easily around 10k new vehicles....that countining out IPMVs...which is enough for a Regional Army like us...

You don't use "HEAT" rounds against helicopters - HEAT literally stands for High Explosive Anti-Tank. What you're talking about are HE airburst rounds.

Yes, any low flying aircrafts can be targetted. Drones, helicopters and even low flying jets.
atgm (anti-tank guided missile) tanks pe use hota hai.. emergency me limit pe advanced atgm ko helicopter me use kiya ja sakta hai, agar woh system maneuverable aur advanced seekers ke saath ho.. Soviet ke wire-guided atgm helicopter pe use nahi karte

We need to equip these guns with Laser/ Short Wave or any other Direct Energy based Anti Drone devices becoz lethal role of Drones has been demonstrated in Russia Ukrain war where T 72 tanks were destroyed like toys by drones.

2. No Tank round is limited to 2 km. That is merely the effective range against other Tanks. Against a jeep, even a heavily armored jeep, the effective range is basically if you can hit it, you will kill it. Tanks in Ukraine are being used as artillery, destroying heavy infantry fighting vehicles at ranges beyond the horizon.
3. Ukraine war has shown using 100 dollar FPV drones has made any concentration of Armour or infantry is going to be detected and attacked. Mobility is limited to 1 to 3 vehicles and 5 to 10 men. Anything larger and it is 100% going to get hit. So the utility and survivability of a Jeep with a few 4 km missiles is questionable.
Russians use longer range loitering munitions with 10km range. Hezbollah has an analog of the Spike ATGM that could be fired out to 25 km.

Intention is there but the analysis is wrong.
For AT warfare shoot and scoot capability doesn't depend on the system from which the ATGM is fired.
Bizzare analysis that Man Portable ATGM can not provide shoot and scoot as soldiers can't run fast .😂
Shoot and scoot capability depends on the type of ATGM. Any body be it a soldier or a tank reveals itself once they fire , now if they have fired a ATGM which is Fire and Forget and not optical cable guided they move and take cover immediately after firing.
If the Missile is Line of sight and cable guided it means the soldier or the vehicle has to within the line of site till the missile has been guided to tanks.
India's current ATGM arsenal is right now may be only 5% Fir and Forget .Rest all are Wire guided and cheap.Thats why MPATGM is so important program.
