You did a great job creating this video, as far as I can see-no need to apologize. It is concise, yet detailed enough to see how it was done. It's terrible when you are watching a video that is 20 minutes long when its filled with extraneous footage that is unneccessary . nice job !
I appreciate your comments, but we were going more towards ease of build and weight then the more traditional builds that are full of wood. We've been using this bus for several years now everywhere from extreme cold to extreme heat and if had no problem with moisture. Thank you for watching and for commenting.
I loved this "quick and dirty" video! Your camper turned out so cute! I hadn't noticed the "ugly" green paint and went back to see it and while green is my favorite color, I agree the yellow looks much nicer! The green somehow made it look dated while the yellow feels fresh and brings so much light into the room! I'm sure the lighter color helps make the space feel larger during the inevitable rainy days, but no matter the weather or time of day it looks warm and welcoming! It's amazing what a bit of paint can accomplish, isn't it? Your husband is so handy! His work looks so professional-- especially the black water tank and kitchen counter. Please let him know another stranger on the internet admires his work, haha! Seriously, well done! I love your kitchen! And your clever bathroom/closet door! And the really safe "overbuilt" passenger seat with seat belt. I think the storage drawers are a really clever solution: they look nice with the custom built framing around them and the weight reduction surely helps gas mileage! I read in another comment that you've found them a little frustrating as they're so lightweight. Now that you've been using them for awhile is their convenience worth the hassle they cause or were new drawers your first necessary upgrade? Thank you for sharing such an excellent overview video! You shared enough information to give us a good idea of how y'all accomplished everything and showed off the finished project in a reasonable length of time and even spoiled us by telling us y'all had more in depth videos showing how you accomplished the trickier parts. Thank you again and well done!
I know this is an old video, but I really like the kitchen set up! That U-shaped counter is what I’ve been playing with in my head but you’re the first bus I’ve seen actually use it
Thank you so much for watching and I'm really glad you liked it. I have really enjoyed the extra room and I think it breaks it up to feel like two spaces instead of one big box. :)
Thanks! We are learning that they don't hold a lot of weight. Clothes, light dishes, food are ok. Lots of cans, tools, ect and they don't want to open.
I work for the company that manufactures these. Not Starcraft, but one of their sister companies. It's awesome to see how these units can be repurposed. Definitely transformed the whole bus, great job and thanks for sharing!
I love it. It's a realistic build. I have a bus waiting, ideas, but not started. Everything on YT is so "perfect" aka expensive/hard for no ability to build. This is workable. Thanks for the video. ☺
I'm constantly amazed by the creativity of these diy conversions. Great job! You've given me lots of ideas. I'm definitely going to have a shower though. Please keep the videos coming.
Love your soothing voice. So needed right now. Love your design! Closet/toilet rooms ingenious. Will you share the cost of the bus & build. Exactly what I want to do. 71 and single, if not now when!?!. Some other ideas for the rest of the bus. Cedar wall with hidden sliding door. Deep stainless steel kitchen sink. Any way. Great, Great build. KEEP TALKING!!!
What a great little home on wheels. This would be heaven for so many people living without a home. I think there should be a law that states if you are employed full or part time or enrolled in school you are legally allowed to park a vehicle home dwelling in the city where you earn income and pay taxes so long as you deal with any trash and waste and it's not parked on private property without permission. We could greatly reduce homelessness and address the lack of affordable housing for people who are regular wage earners or students on a limited budget.
I love this!! So helpful and informative too. I’m a solo female (hopefully soon to be) traveller, so I love that this is a build that looks doable for me!
I agree. Very nice job. I would have preferred a shower, even a tiny one on the shuttle bus/rv. I know that you can also spruce up and clean up just by dipping a washcloth in a sink with a little soap.
Good job on hiding that vent pipe in the bathroom! Great job on this build! How awesome knowing you did this yourselves!! (Jane from SC) Enjoy every minute!❤️🙏
This bus/tiny home is absolutely FANTASTIC!! I especi ally admire the way you worked with (&disguised) those plastic drawers; that IS something i will do in mine...the seight savedhas got to be phenominal, and in your examplr, tastefully disguised...WELL DONE; I admire this!! 😃🙃👣
Great job, really amazing! I thought about living in a shuttle bus way back in the 80s, when I drove them around LAX. But I never met a construction worker who was single, and shared my dream.
Really enjoyed this video - you joked about it being all over the place but I actually loved that - you gave highlights with enough detail, but didn’t drag on! LOL. It was a great overview. Thank you, I’ll be watching your other posts.
This is exactly the vehicle I want. All the electrical stuff goes over my head! I feel like a student again trying to research and learn how to diy! Fantastic video. Thank you both!!
I literally had to stop immediately after the intro and spread some love. Amazing!! Highest praise to the creative minds that made it happen. It's different and extremely appealing. I'm hooked. I subscribed before I wrote this comment, and all I've seen is the intro. BRAVO!
Thank you so much for this video! I've been looking at a shuttle bus for possible purchase/renovation. Very helpful and you give me hope that it's not that difficult to do. Now, if I could get my hubby on board with working on one ....lol. I recently saw a regular pull-behind camper that a guy renovated to have a jacuzzi tub and full size toilet in the bath!
For the size of the vehicle chosen you did a very good job in incorporating all your needs and still keeping it quite spacious. It isn't cluttered, feels homey and is a good example for what can be done with proper planning in what appears to have been done within a reasonable budget. Good luck and enjoy!
Great job! I am thinking about buying one of these, and you've given me a whole different perspective on how to convert it from what I have been thinking. Personally, I see plenty of opportunity to have both storage *and* a shower, but I not only don't mind the idea of covering up some of the windows, I think I'd actually *want* to.
Excellent build. Couple things I did differently on my cube van build out was no black water tank. Made and use a composting toilet. Also built in a shower. No gray water tank either. Use all natural, biodegradable soap and shampoo. Thanks. Wish you safe travels.
Terrific job, and great explanations, I'm just getting ready to do over a 94 Gulfstream Ford 24 Passenger Shuttle Bus, 29 ft long, with Tag Axle. --- but it has what I wanted!!! 2 regular doors on the cab and the fold out door is just in back of the passenger seat. Thanks for a great video!
Wow. What a nice conversion!!! I'll start working on mine soon (a shuttle bus with a 7.3 diesel). I can't wait. Now I'm looking for ideas, and this is a really good one to inspire me!!!! Tks for the video.
That was a very good video. I would think about one. But I can’t do all that stuff. 👌 to you and your wonderful husband for knowing how to do all this. Stay safe. And have a lot of fun. 👍💕👋
That is the beauty of creating your own. You can make it as hard or as easy you you want. Go back and check out our original van build we showed when we started this channel. It used a camping toilet that needed no plumbing and a hand pump sink that needs no special skill to install. The bed and cabinets are all store bought. ANYONE can do this with any skill level. :)
Love the colors and layout, especially the curtain! --I'm with everyone else though, I'd need a shower. You can install a shower head and still keep your closet. Just put the shower head over the toilet, and have drainage in the floor. I took a shower once in a friends' truck bed camper that had one. Their bathroom was smaller than yours, they had the toilet, a sink on the back of the toilet, and the shower. It worked for me.
I think your bus is beautifulb H BM mop. I think its perfect and beautiful and its enough for you and your husband to live in. I wish I was able to be able to buy a bus and make it a home like you guys are doing to your bus. If I had the money to be able to buy a bus to be able build a home. Inside it for me I would go all out and make me a home out inside it but im not able to because im on oxygen 24/7. Thank you so much for sharing you beautiful work your husband did to your bus. Its not a bus no more its a home on wheels. God Bless the 2 of you guys.
Love this ❤️. It feels so open. I'm redoing a travel trailer, from the ground up and love how you designed the kitchen. I'm thinking this might be something to look at for my kitchen. I found a great deal for my bathroom. On market place I found a wet shower that was pulled out of a truck camper for $75. New sub!
Thank you for a more doable build. I don't have family that are builder's and I'm 70, so I wouldn't be able to do a fancy build carpenter type build. I also could see me doing what you two did.
It's great how you have that safety feature on the front door where you put the hinge pins on the outside. That way, if you ever lose your keys, all you have to do is pop the hinges out and open the door. Luckily, thieves don't know this.
First and foremost damn she's gorgeous!!! Second while there's a lot of things they did that I'd do differently but the bones of the build are nice. Great job!!
Looks beautiful and cozy.

I've been researching bus builds for awhile now. Beautiful results, but this more decorating than build. Moisture /vapor barriers are important.

Thank you for not drawing out unnecessary details (how to drive a screw). That, plus the rest of your work made this an excellent video.
I just love how honestly naive the editing is. It's very cute.
Thank you, I think... LOL Seriously, thank you so much for watching.
Love your no-edited-video. Raw & honest. Great transformation!!

I was thinking the same thing! I thought I wish I could be her friend because she sounded so kind and calming. :)

Love that idea. 👍
Great Job !!! You can always add an outdoor solar shower if you choose to boondock. Hope you make some great memories. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks!
Very nice comment. We need more of those
I love this!! So helpful and informative too. I’m a solo female (hopefully soon to be) traveller, so I love that this is a build that looks doable for me!
Absolutely, you can totally do it!!
I thumbs up just because of your sweet bubbly personality ❣️
Aww, thank you.
I agree. Very nice job. I would have preferred a shower, even a tiny one on the shuttle bus/rv. I know that you can also spruce up and clean up just by dipping a washcloth in a sink with a little soap.
Love the simplicity of it all. The themed curtain was a nice touch 👍and the curved counter was exactly what I’m goin for thanks for sharing❤️
Wow your voice is enchanting! You should narrate "how to" vids on youtube on every subject.
