Hi Claire, will definitely be making some tonight. I saw that in Sainsbury's they do a much larger pudding rice in the section where you can get the large bags of savoury rice, more like sacks. I think its in the Indian/Asian world food section. It's more money of course than the small packs but overall it works out cheaper and if you make rice pudding on a regular basis its better value. I also like maple syrup but its a little high in syns so ive bought the skinny syrup version but ive yet to try it. Another thing I like is baked egg custard, eggs, milk, sweetner and nutmeg on top, lovely. Have a great weekend. Kind regards Angeline ❤️ xx
Morning Claire. I made it the other week and I’m obsessed with. I’m trying it with no sugars coconut milk today so I’ll let you know how it goes. Got my stone award finally Saturday so I’m fully back on it and raring to go for my club 10 🎉
Raisins are nice too cooked in the rice (28g) makes 1 syn per portion or dried cherries (28g) 1 syn per portion and almond essence . I make it every week too 😋
The rice pudding looks delicious i am going to make it next weekend. Every Sunday i like to make a sweet treat for the week. I already have Syn free ginger cookies planned for tomorrow.
1 hour 30 minutes isnt long enough for the rice to cook through, it takes 2 hours 30 minutes for the rice to soften in a slow cooker on high, after cooking the pudding let it sit to cool down and thicken, move to a container so more milk can be added to your pudding for your desired thicknesses, then let it sit in the fridge over night, I make rice pudding all the time and the rice should be cooked
Going to give this a try today, not made it in the slow cooker before. How many portions does this recipe make approximately? I really enjoy your vlogs and I am delighted to have found your channel. I am enjoying catching up with your previous vlogs.🍋🍊🍐🍎🍏
Hi thanks so much x so I usually split the rice pudding into 4 portions , people are finding if they have the ceramic insert to their slow cooker it takes slightly longer , so just keep that in mind 👌🏼 hope you enjoy
Just made your rice pudding and il have a portion for breakfast tomorrow, did you say its nearly 1 HXA per portion, i should get 4 portions from it.and ive the sweetfreedom hazelnut syrup thats good xx
Hey Lynne I don’t have the measurements in front of me right now currently having breakfast in Venice ☺️ so depending on what milk you use you just need to divide that by your portions so almond no sugars from memory is 400ml for hex a I usually use a 1000ml carton so the entire rice pudding works out at 2.5 hex a if that makes sense x hope you love it 🙌🏼 I haven’t tried the Hazel nut sounds nice , obviously syn that and any sweetner you put if any if your rice pudding x

I bet mixed peel would be nice too
@@clairemariehoward oh yes i havent tried that but use it in my baked oats ( another weekly fav) .
I use 113g pudding rice with the same milk and amount and I get 3 portions that does me for 3 days

I’ve not eaten a hard rice pudding yet so let’s put that down to different slow cookers !!!
Any tips in using Bob milk & not using sweetener please ❤
I’d just replace the almond milk with bob milk if you don’t want sweetner maybe add extra vanilla and sweetness in your toppings x
Going to give this a try today, not made it in the slow cooker before.

@clairemariehoward thanks I used exactly same as you, so thank you and enjoy your breakfast 😊 xx
Hi Claire, thank you for the video. How long does this keep for? I’m assuming it can be reheated? Xx
I usually put mine in the fridge once cooled and my last dish has usually been in there 3/4 days it’s always been fine and I always reheat it x
Great thank you ☺️ I look forward to trying this, this week! X

I love ❤️ rice pudding. Do you wait for it to cool and then store in the fridge? Xxx
Yes cool then in the fridge , I always re heat and have it piping hot 🙌🏼👌🏼♥️
Don't be fooled into thinking it's unnatural to eat this at breakfast. There's lots of recipes online for rice porridge so this is just a variation.
Love rice pudding for breakfast 🫶🏼
Sorry 25g for the dried cherries
☺️
