Hello from the Edmonton area fellow car guy!
You should bring the Volvo to the big car show at the Reynolds museum in Wetaskiwin on July 13, 2024!

I’ll try. Melissa pissed me off a bit with the decision to do away with display-by-decades. There is no denying that the decision did grow the show and make organization easier; though.

it's rare for me to sit through 20 minutes straight on anything and not be also working, reading, messaging etc with youtube on mostly as background noise. its such a rare thing for me that when i took notice of what had happened after indeed watching the above (after clicking a random algo suggestion) i felt compelled to come down into the comments and investigate like WTF, WHO IS THIS DEITY, WHO IS WIELDING SUCH CONTROL OVER MY SOUL AND MIND.? oh, it's random internet guy with like 12 subscribers and i'm one of the first people other than maybe his mom dog and girlfriend lucky enough to bear witness to his "casual savant" level talent.
welp, random guy with 12 subscribers, you now have 13 (ok its actually 197, but in youtube channel scale terms 197 = 12 = 13 ). i say this because i want to make a specific attempt to let you know that you are producing content that is well above and beyond your weight class so to speak. this looks, sounds, feels, and inspires emotional stirrings on par with the best of the "this is my day job, i've got 1.3 million subs, brand endorsements and a staff helping with production... 4k 60fps ambient b-roll with lens flares on my lens flares real casual-like ya know".
a wall of text but tldr: you have the skills to pay the bils...lulz. i hope i revisit this comment in the months and years to come and ill told ya so to my former self and wallow in the cringe. (ps.. hello future me! glad you are still alive...)
    'nuff said.

These sorts of comments mean a lot. I've left them for other small youtubers and meant it when I do. Its nice to get one for myself!
Making good content starts with not really minding if a lot of people don't see it. Make for self, if others watch, Great! In truth, most of the content I do make is for something to look back at later when I am thinking of selling a car or making a bad decision about what to keep or modify. I can rewatch my words to myself about why this thing I owned or built is too steeped in history and effort and experience to get rid of. I guess it comes through as compelling because you know we all have similar trials in life. I'm glad it was worth it for you.
I did all this on iPhone as an aside. I own an FX3 and an FX30 and all the GMaster glass you could shake a stick at. Left it to the wayside to just journal like a mortal with a phone. Proof that equipment and production work is really secondary to just telling the story.
I will be so pleased if you are having a Nostradamus moment about the viability of content. Its not the goal but I wouldn't turn it down.
Thank you again. Have a pleasant eve. A kickback for making mine a little better.
