Contrary to what many people think, the Rajput Kingdoms of North-west India actually did very well in resisting the foreign Turkic invasions. People think that they just easily collapsed one by one all in a few years. However, it took several decades for the Turkic invaders to expand across North-Central India after the defeat of the Chahamanas. It took another century for the Delhi Sultanate to get past the Vindhya Range and Narmada river to expand into the Peninsular Indian Kingdoms of the Yadavas, Kakatiyas, Hoysalas and Pandyas. And merely after a few decades, most these regions came back under native rule and the resistance against the invaders continued. This is in contrast to places like Iran, Anatolia, China, Egypt etc which were under foreign domination for centuries without as much resistance as shown in India.

It took the Turkic Afghan invaders over 4 centuries to capture Delhi and set up the sultanate. Various rajput kingdoms continued fighting the invaders and survived right until independence in 1947. The maharanas of mewar have been around since at least 8th century. The present incumbent is 77th in line.

Look for records from Chand Vardai around Rajput origins.
Suryavanshi- Sun’s descendants are from ancient Kshatriya groups, descendants of Lord Ram
Chandravanshi- Moon’s descendants are from ancient Kshatriya groups, descending from Pandavas
Agnivanshi- Purified by fire. Probably an outsider group assimilated into the warrior class during late ancient or early medieval times.

I am a Rajput of the Jodhra clan. Our clan converted to Islam under Mahmud Ghazni, and first migrated to Kashmir. Then, they settled in the area of Pindi-Gheb in Pakistani Punjab in the 16th century, where we had a rivalry with the Gheba tribe. However, later on, peace was established between both parties. The Jodhra Rajputs ruled the PindiGheb tehsil as independent vassals of the Delhi Sultanate and later the Mughals. We were mostly autonomous and provided little to no tribute to the Mughals. As all good things come to an end, our rule came to an end at the hands of the British, who stripped us of our ranks and titles, giving them all to the Malaks.
Regarding our origins, there are several myths, but the most famous one suggests that our clan lived somewhere near the Ganges River. After converting to Islam, they were forced out of their home and had to migrate to Kashmir and later to Punjab.

The K is not exactly silent, but this depends on exactly which Prakrit language you are pronouncing it with. For example in Bengali, the spelling retains all the letters, ksh as a digraph (in writing it becomes a different letter that theoretically combines k and sh), and it comes out sounding just like a somewhat deep "kh" sound, which in everyday speech just becomes a "kh" sound like "ch" in Loch Lomond. I dont see why people would criticize your pronunciation, you are doing fine.

As a Rajput and direct descendent of the ruler of a Princely State in Rajasthan, I would like to say that this was very well researched and the sources you used were very accurate and you were able to summarise all that massive information to a great extent. As a history buff myself I would like to add some pointers here that will help you read more on this topic.
    1) Rajput women had mostly basic training in weapons and martial arts. There have been many instances where they went into battle field and came out victorious. Nayki Devi for example.
    2) Rajput built lots of forts. As they kept getting sub divided among clans and sub clans, they kept dividing territories and kept making new and more power center resulting in more fortifications. This was the reason they remained unconcerned for a long time until Mughal showed up with firepower which made Rajputs technology inferior.
    3) Another reason they remained unconcerned was the loyalty of their subjects. Even when defeated and king getting killed, the subjects would resist and rebel until their approved king was not put in the power position.
    4) There was actually a very big Rajput rebellion in 1857, except for Jaipur all others participated in a way or other. Once put down British introduced their education system to make sure this doesn't repeat. This created lots of mistrust for certain rajput groups, their powers were taken away and their army's were limited.
    5) In Modern India, Rajputs were looked down upon. They were seen and portrayed as the corrupt greedy ones who surrendered to invading the British and the ones who lost to glorious Mughals. Its only after the internet revolution and after socialists lost power in Indian politics and education, the Rajputs are getting again the recognition that they deserved.

The Rajputs descending from the Huna does not have a very convincing theory, Adopting Cavalry is not a good enough sign, because good ideas transmit easily between groups, the Huna were also very short lived, not even a generation had passed before they were expelled, given that they had distinctive tamgas on their coins and head gear etc, one would expect at least some of it to continue if there was a descendant group in India like how it continued in the Turan region.

Saying that they descended from someone because they adopted similar ideas would be like saying most of humanity today is related because they all follow combined arms tactics in war and all of humanity descended from Germans because they invented it.

Thanks sir. Very well researched. Very informative. Rajputs are still fighters. Hindu rajputs fight from indian side and muslim rajputs fight from pakistan side and win highest military crosses/medals. Rajputs become mp,s ,chief ministers, ministers,pm,s and army chiefs in both countries.

Their dominion spread from eastern caspian to central and north India, which included Indus Valley and Rajasthan. Yuezhi were martial tribes. They worshiped their armanents, a trait which is still prevalent of Rajputs.

Here i will be sharing information regarding Indian History from the times of Arabs to British. As hardly people know that what actually happened with India from the times of arabs to british. I hope you will appreciate my efforts.
Let me tell you in short and summarised way (in below comments rest will include) :
    PART 1 - Prologue
PART 2 - Arabs Vs Indians
PART 3 - Why we failed to counter the Turks
PART 4 - Ray of hope called Chatrapati Shivaji and rise of The Maratha Empire
PART 5 - Decline of Maratha Empire infront of British
    PART 6 - Period 1818-1857 & 1857 war against british
    PART 7 - British rule between 1857 -1947
PART 8 - Some books recommendations to read
    PART 1 - Prologue
    1. Turkic are those who came from & belong to people of modern day Kyrgyztan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, & Tajikistan. And they invaded Anatolia and renamed it as Turkey. Otherwise Anatolia was originally and actually the part of Greece. This is the reason why people of modern day Turkey looks like European and not like Uzbekis, Tajiks or Turkmenistanis , better to say Turks.
The actual name of modern day turkey is Anatolia. It was a part of Byzantine Empire. The turks are actually people of Central Asia that is modern day Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikisatan, Kyrgyztan. kazakhstan. The Ottoman Empire was founded by Osman I and he comes from a tribe called - Oghuz Tribe which is actually a tribe of turkmenistan (a Turk tribe). Ottoman Turks belonged to the Kayı Oghuz Turkic clan, who, fled their native homeland in Central Asia, during the early 13th century, due to the Mongol invasions. The clan settled in Anatolia and later on as the Byzantine Empire got weaken, these turkic tribes defeated Byzantine and islamised their people and enslaved the people of modern day turkey. This is the reason why people of modern day Turkey looks like European and not like Uzbekis, Tajiks or Turkmenistanis , better to say Turks. By the way this Oghuz Tribe also enslaved the arabs too and forcefully took the title of caliphate from arabs.
The Ottoman tyranny against the Arabs was an extended reality. Let me tell you few incidents among many. At Hama, in the Levant, Ottoman Empire sent a campaign in 1685 to discipline Arabs and punish them because they ejected the Ottoman governor due to his increasing prejudice. In 1698, a campaign was sent to burn the Lebanese town of Ghazir and, a year later, the Ottoman governor of Damascus sent an army to Nablus to kill its people and capture 700 women. This injustice and tyranny forced the poor Arabs of the Levant to emigrate.
Another example of the brutality of the Ottoman governors was the impalement of men and the putting of women into sacks with some lime and dumping them in rivers. Moreover, they used to burn villages. It is noteworthy that the horrific methods of torture, such as impalement, were not known to the Arabs before the arrival of the Ottomans. The person who impaled and killed the Arab slowly was rewarded. Also, they used to enjoy mutilating the dead bodies of the Arabs and cutting off parts of their bodies, especially the ears, and the leaders boasted of collecting the largest numbers of them.
They also fought the Arabic language with a policy of Turkification, through publications and jobs, imposing the Turkish language on all government transactions. This is the reason why Arabs hates the Ottoman Empire.
I would suggest u to read the article by Arab News, titled - Turkey repeating Ottoman Empire’s crimes against Arabs. Here is the link - arab.news/m8vfq
By the way, let me tell you an interesting point, the Indian troops under the command of Dalpat Singh Shekhawat fought and defeated the Ottoman Empire in Battle of Haifa (1918) and after this battle onwards the downfall of Ottoman Empire started. This defeat sealed the fate of the Ottoman Empire and led to its demise.
    2. When I say Hindus it comprises modern day Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhist and Jains. They all belong to one Dharmic Traditions. British made division in order to divide the Dharmic society & later on further divided Hindus into castes. They made division and classification among hindus bcos they were constantly facing the revolts from hindus even after 1857, and it was getting difficult to control India & they thought if this continues then they might lose the control over India. So in order to keep the hindus in check, they made those division and classification. I would suggest you to check out Puneet Sahani's talks on UA-cam.He has exposed these things with facts, esp regarding how sikhs were separated from Sanatan Dharm (Hinduism) by the british. And by the way, caste is actually derived from Portuguese word 'Casta' . So it is actually a European concept not even an Indian concept & in order to break our spirit & make us feel inferior & embarrased of ourselves with loser mindset, they distorted & manipulated our history. And all these things are documented in 1871 British India Census Documents, Mcaulay writings, etc. Infact during the british era, there were more than 500 princely states, among them over 400 princely states belong to Shudra (SC caste) Kings. I suggest u to watch a documentary of Channel - Prachyam , video titled - Sahebs Who Never Left (Documentary) .
    3. Regarding Indian History, which unfortunately we r not taught correctly bcos of distortion by British which was designed in such a way that to make us feel inferior. As George Orwell said - “The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own history'. There is a proverb that says, “Until the lion tells the story, the hunter will always be the hero.” No wonder instead of reading History of Indians, We read history of outsiders. And till now we read history which was designed by british. And it is a big shame for all of us. Like for eg - one fact that over 1380 years have been deleted from the Indian history in order to adjust it into biblical timeline which is limited in nature i.e 2000-4000 years. Prof Vedveer Arya has written books on this & has given challenge to western historians on this.Vedveer Arya has given his talks on UA-cam. OR Aryan Invasion Theory, which was designed to create animosity between North India Vs South India. Infact it has been proven wrong by many people. And this theory now has been debunked many people now. So, there are plenty of things like this.
PART 2 - Arabs Vs Indians

PART 2 - Arabs Vs Indians
When Arabs were at their peak and till that time whole Persia Iraq,Syria ,Egypt have fallen in front of Arab Caliphate and expanding their faith , they were defeated by the Indians.
Abu Bakr was made caliph after Muhmmad died. 634: Two years later, Umar I became caliph after Abu Bakr's death. Umar I reigned till 644.
636/637: During Umar I's reign, the first ever battle between Arabs Vs Indians took place, It was a naval battle b/w Indians Vs Arabs but the arabs were defeated by Chalukya Pulakeshin II. The Indians under the command of Pulakeshin 2 thrashed the Arab army which was under the Caliph Umar. The attack was repelled with Indians victory over Arabs.
637-643: Another attack on Bharuch was made by Arabs on al-Hakam's orders. Bharuch was then ruled by probably Dadda 2 Gurjara( Lāṭa)/Vijayarāja Chalukya, depending on exact year of attack. This attack was also a Gurjara/Chalukya victory for Indians.
643 : al-Hakam ordered invasion of Sindh,Chachnama declares it Indians victory. Sindh was then ruled by Chach of Alor (Aror). Arabs didn't gain anything by this naval attack on the port of Debal (Karachi), the Indians won.
The news of Arab defeat in Sindh was a serious anomaly for the Caliph's ears, which were habituated to hearing of victories in whichever direction the Arab armies went. Such was the demoralisation, that even the next Caliph Uthman, didn't dare attack India till his death.
663: In the reign of Caliph Ali, al-Harith raided the area of Kikanan (Kalat-Sibi area in Pakistan). The Arab commander was killed & Arabs were repelled.
During ~660-680, 6+ Arab attacks took place on Kikanan. But, the Indians resisted and Arabs didn't gain any territory despite frequent attacks.
Thereafter till 705 CE, the Caliphate experienced multiple civil wars. Kabul & Zabul Indian rulers defeated Arabs twice during this period.
708-711 CE : In the reign of Caliph al-Walid I, al-Hajjaj (Governor of Iraq) sent two Arab armies to attack Raja Dahir of Sindh. Raja Dahir first defeated the Arabs near Debal & killed Ubaidullah.Al-Hajjaj sent another commander, Budail, from from Oman to attack Sindh.Budail fought with Jaisimha, Dahir's son & was killed by Jaisimha. Arabs were again defeated at the frontiers of India & many are not aware before Raja Dahir got defeated, there were many battle between many battle between Arabs Vs Indians & those wars were won by Indians.
The battle Arab won was of Mohammad Bin Qasim bcos Raja Dahir of Sindh have given refuge to some Arabs when there was Civil war between Arab & they betrayed him. But later on when the news reached to the ears of Bappa Rawal & he not only thrashed Arabs from Sindh but also thrashed & chased the Arabs upto Iran & made check posts all the way from Iran to India. Probably this is the reason why Iranian r not fully Arabised & they still celebrate Pre Islamic festivals like Nauroz etc. By the way, Rawalpindi is named after this Great Warrior Bappa Rawal. Bappa Rawal built a city named it Rawalpindi.
Later on Arabs were defeated by Indians under The Great Indian Emperor Samrat Lalitaditya Muktapida, whose dominance extended right from Bay of Bengal to Caspian Sea. The defeat of Arabs by The Great Lalitaditya was very humiliating for Arabs. After defeating Arabs, Lalitaditya ordered left over Arab soldiers to shave off half their heads as a symbol of their submission to Lalitaditya.
Then Arabs were again thrashed by Indians under Mihir Bhoj & Rawal Khuman 2. How Arabs Described Mihir Bhoj -
Arab chronicle of Suleiman states that - Mihir Bhoj king of Jurz. Among the princes of India, there is no greater foe of there is no greater foe of Muhammadan faith than he.
And Rawal Khuman II fought the arabs and defeated the Abbasid Caliph army led by Al-Ma’mun . It was kind of a final encounter between Arabs Vs Indians. Khuman II fought the arabs & defeated Abbasid Caliph army led by Al-Ma’mun. It was kind of a final encounter between Arabs Vs Indians. Rawal Khuman II defeats arabs & captures their general Mahmud. Khuman’s victory over Mahmud was conclusive & since it was the army of the Caliphate ,it completely demoralised the Arabs. Mahmud was held captive by Khuman. He was let go after extracting heavy penalties from Arabs. So Indians didn't face any problem while dealing with Arabs.
The problem Indians faced was actually against Turkic people & Turkic are people belonging to central Asia that is modern day Kyrgyztan ,Uzbekistan, Tajikistan & Turkmenistan.
The mughals actually came from Uzbekistan. So they were all Uzbekis. *NOTE -Turks are those who belong to people of modern day Kyrgyztan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, & Tajikistan. And they invaded Anatolia and renamed it as Turkey. Otherwise Anatolia was originally and actually the part of Greece. This is the reason why people of modern day Turkey looks like European and not like Uzbekis,Tajiks or Turkmenistanis better to say Turks.
So against the Arabs , Indians did not face problems but it was actually against the Turks, we faced problems that too bcos of our own foolishness.
PART 3 - Why we failed to counter the Turks

    • @cpol1146
      @cpol1146 Рік тому +1

PART 3 - Why we failed to counter the Turks
*By the way, all these Ghori were Tajiks (Turks), Gznavi, Khilji , Tughlaq etc were all belonged to Khallaj Tribe which is actually a Turk Tribe. They islamised the whole Afghanistan after the fall of last Hindu King of Afghanistan , Jaypal. The first serious Turk settlement happened in 1206 with start of Slave Dynasty in Delhi. And all other later dynasties after them were called Delhi Sultanates. And their actual rule was just limited to Delhi and nearby areas and later on they were overtaken by Mughals who came from Uzbekistan. And mughals were Turks too.
First SERIOUS Turk attack happen in 1025 & King Suheldev defeat these Turk led by Salar Maqsud in 1025.
But later on why we failed to counter them in later years esp from 1200s onwards.Bcos of following reason
      a) Over dependence on Horses - 50%
      (b) Not understanding the islamic ideology - 30%
-> A common reason for others too
      (c) Not being united - 10%
      (d) Miscellaneous Reasons - 10%
      1. Bcos our Kings were over confident & not united.
      2. This is the most important reason which comprises of 50% reason as i mentioned. It all started with mistakes by Hindu Shahi Dynasty of Afghanistan when they lose their grip over Central Asia particularly over Southern part of Central Asia & they didn't bother to establish their influence over their again. And why Central Asia was so important bcos all the Indian Kings used to get their majority horses from there. As Central Asian Horses were considered the best. In mediaeval time horses were the engine of any army. And unfortunately the Indian Kings from 500 A.D. onwards have started shifting their military tactics slowly, from being Infantry to cavalry that is horse based. And with each new century years passed, this dependency process speeds up. Its not that horses are not there in India. There are Indian breed horses. But Central Asian Horses were far more superior as compare to Indian horses.
So Indian Kings used to have horses even the Indian breed horses, but they never depended on them on the primary level when it comes to military. Horses were always seen as an additional strength for the military. And infantry was the strength of Indian Kings from the Ancient Vedic times ,this is the reason why infantry marital art was developed in India. The natural military strength of the Indians was always - Infantry, Elephants & Naval Power.
Though there are no specific reasons why they did that by shifting military tactic from infantry to cavalry as lot of information have been lost bcos of burning of so many books, libraries, universities and schools by the invaders. This happened when Indian Emperor Skandgupta defeated Huns* & we Indians have established our supremacy over Eastern Hun Empire, esp Central Asian Region. And from their onwards Indians started shifting their military tactic from infantry to cavalry. It's not that people didn't caution them not to have over dependence on Horses & infact also stick to your natural strength that is infantry. And one can use cavalry as additional military method but dont let go off your natural strength that is infantry. But no one really bothered. And once the grip was lose over Central Asia. It created problem. And there was sudden collapse in the military structure & everything fall like a pack of cards.
And the dynasties which didn't shifted their 100% strength to Cavalry & stick to their natural strength, those dynasties survived & defeated these invaders like Vijayanagar Dynasty, Gajapati dynasty, Ahom dynasty etc.
Infact Ahom Dynasty of North East India defeated mughals more than 17 times. Both Vijayanagar & Gajapati Dynasty were got destroyed bcos of some other reason which I will explain later.
*Huns = Huns were considered a dangerous force in the world at one point of time. The Huns were nomadic warriors who terrorized much of Europe and the Roman Empire in the 4th and 5th centuries A.D. The terror which the Huns caused over the Europe and the Roman Empire is something un-imaginable. Its was the Huns, who were responsible for the annihilation of Roman Empire. And with invasion of their Capital Rome in 452 AD, the Roman Empire was wiped out. But the force, which used to terrorize whole europe was defeated by Indian Emperor Skandgupta. The Hunas, under the leadership of Toramana, suffered a crushing defeat by the Indian Emperor Skandagupta in 458 AD.
      3. They all failed to understand religious ideology of invaders.Bcos even after loosing grip over Central Asia. We still won many battles like - Taimur Lang was defeated by Jograj Singh Gurjar in 1398. And the defeat was so devastating for Taimur that he literally fled India OR Ruler of Gajapati Empire (Eastern Ganga Dynasty) defeated these invaders in 1248 & many more etc.
So Indians still won many battles but they were so naive that they didn't understand that enemies they are facing. They all failed to understand the religious ideology of invaders. Bcos even after loosing grip over Central Asia. The Kings still won many battles but they were so naive that they didn't understand that enemies they are facing are not your typical enemies. They are all driven by ideology of Islamic Zealotry

    • @cpol1146
      @cpol1146 Рік тому +1

      4. Over Confidence, being naive & foolishness. Even though there are so many examples but I will give you few examples among many examples :
Queen Naiki Devi defeated Ghori in 1178 but instead of chopping his head she let him go free OR Another eg : After defeating & capturing Mohmad Ghori in 1191, Prithviraj Chauhan releases Mohammad Ghori in 1191. And this proved to be a heavy mistake for Prithviraj Chauhan OR King Vidyadhara Chandela defeated Mahmud Ghazni but let him go free but due to code of honour King Vidyadhara let the retreating invader Gazni go OR Alaudin Khalji was defeated in battle in 1488 by Badal-Gora OR another eg - Rana Hammir Singh defeats Muhammad bin Tughluq in 1326 and captured Mohammad bin Tughlaq & jailed him for 6 months and then let him free.
Another eg - Rana Sanga defeated invaders like Ibrahim Lodhi, Sultan of Delhi in Battle of Khatoli (1517) and Battle of Dholpur (1518) .
And Rana Sanga also defeats & capturs Malwa Sultan Mahmud Khilji II in 1519.Later on he defeats Gujarat Sultan Malik Hussain in 1520. Malik Hussain surrender in front of Rana Sanga & he later took all the wealth of Gujarat. Later in the same year, Rana Kumbha defeats the coalition army of two sultanate of Gujarat and Malwa. And with this Rana Sanga became the supreme power in the Northern India. After Babur (Founder of Mughal Dynasty) capturing Delhi, Babur decided to attack Rana Sanga as soon as possible. In a two months long battle between the Turko Mongol army of Babur & Rana Sanga took place in Bayana (near Agra). The Mughals got defeated & & were forced to retreat to Agra. This time Rana Sanga didn’t follow the policy of wiping out the invading enemies as he did against the Sultans of Malwa & Gujarat. He was sure that from this defeat Babur will not attack him and this gave Babur enough time to recover & to recover & prepare for the final climax at Khanwa, which was the first and the last defeat of Rana Sanga. The undefeated Rana Sanga had finally made a miscalculated move and this proved to be a heavy mistake on his part.
Another eg : Maharana Pratap when he defeated 3rd Mughal King Akbar in Battle of Dewair (1582) ,he had the golden opportunity to grab the Delhi Throne and when everything was going in his favour, he just let that idea go away. Maharana Pratap not understanding that they are not your typical enemies, infact the aim is Jihad & expand their ideology. And there are many examples like this. And there are many examples like these.
Not understanding islamic ideology has been a big problem of Indian Kings.
Stupidity like many of mughal expansion was done by some Indian Kings bcos many Indians kings had ego tussle & internal conflict between them. So it was obvious, outsiders will take advantage of this. Like - it was Raja Man Singh who expanded Mughal Empire by defeating & subduing old kingdoms of Bengal, Bihar and Odisha and also conquered Kabul for 3rd Mughal King Akbar. Infact, in mughal empire, the land right from from Kabul to Bengal was actually conquered by Indian King Raja Man Singh when he allied with 3rd Mughal King Akbar as there was ego tussle between Raja Man Singh and Maharana Pratap. That's a different story altogether. There was also a big issue with Indian Kings that once they have given their word to someone, they always maintain that at any cost. And these invaders always took advantage of this. And this has been a big problem of Indian Kings esp from 13th century onwards, when they have given their word to someone they fully respected it & maintained it as it was a matter of pride for them and it was seen as a manly thing, a sign of masculinity. But whenever the enemy got a chance to violate it & defeat the Indian Kings, they always did.
      5. Another example : When Humayun (Father of 3rd Mughal King Akbar) was leaving they get refuge in Amarkot in Sindh by King Rana Prasad. He gave refuge to Humayun and his family who were struggling at that time. Not understanding the islamic ideology. Later on these were the same Mughals who butchered the people in order to spread islam.
      * You gave invaders one chance, they will come and annihiliate you. Like people of Anatolia gave one chance to Turks and Turks captured Anatolia, destroyed them and islamised them completely. And unfortunately our ancestors gave invaders multiple chances to revive and attack us

    • @cpol1146
      @cpol1146 Рік тому +1

      6. Indians were fighting among themselves too. Like the downfall of Gajapati Empire was bcos of continous attacks by Vijayanagar Dynasty from the south.Gajapati Empire (Formerly knownn as Eastern Ganga Dynasty). It defeated the invaders multiple times & later on decided to march towards Delhi & finish this mess once & for all. But it got attacks from its southern part from The Vijayanagar Dynasty. This diverted Gajapati Empire's attention & they got busy in fighting the Vijaynagar Dynasty. And this gave Foreign Invading Army of Delhi Sultanate to revive itself and attack when they saw the opportunity. With the decline of Eastern Ganga Dynasty (later on came to be known as Gajapati Empire) , The Vijaynagar Dynasty captured the Southern part of Gajapati Empire (Eastern Ganga Dynasty
      7. Employing these Central Asian people in their Army as commanders and generals. Best eg - Vijayanagar Empire. The capital of Vijayanagar Empire was considered the finest capital in the whole world. And they were very powerful Kingdom. But in Battle of Talikota which was a fight between Vijayanagar Empire Vs Bahamani Sultanate and outsiders like Gilani brothers, who were appointed as commanders of Vijayanagar Army & betrayed King Rama Raya in the name of jihad against kafir & supporting the invader islamic army and boom , the Empire Collapsed.
      8. And most shocking the Indians were fighting the Indians. Like during the initial period of Mughal time, the many warriors in army of mughals were actually Indians. And there is a problem with a Polytheists culture like Hinduism , Greeks, Pagan culture etc that they all easily accept the belief system of others bcos in their own Polytheists culture there are many gods and belief system so accepting a new system is not an issue for them. And this is here problem arise with monotheistic religion like Islam and Christianity that says our God is the only true God & your God is fake. And this is here Polytheists failed to understand their ideology.
      9. Finally, among all invaders, mughals establish themselves as the supreme power in India. Mughals came from modern day Uzbekistan. Mughals had turkic - Mongolian genes and they came from Central Asian region, specifically from modern day Uzbekistan. From 1526 onwards, From 1526 onwards, Mughal Empire gets founded by Babur when Babur captures Delhi but later on his son Humayun (2nd Mughal King) was forced into exile when he lost battles in 1539 & 1540. He then gets shelter & refuge by Sindh King Rana Prasad. With arrival of Akbar (son of Humayun & 3rd Mughal King) , at that time Vikramaditya Hemu was sitting at Delhi Throne and he controlled an area right from Bengal to Delhi and some areas beyond it. Abul Fazl (court historian of Akbar) noted that prior to battle of panipat,Hemu had fought & won all 22 battle & never lost any battle.
Akbar fights Hemu & defeats Hemu in 2nd Battle of Panipat (1556) & finally establish mughals as supreme power esp. in the northern India. And with the help of Raja Man Singh of Jaipur, mughal empire established themselves as the strongest empire of North India. It was Raja Man Singh who expanded Mughal Empire from Kabul in the North West to Bengal in the east by defeating & subduing old kingdoms of Bengal, Bihar and Odisha and also conquered Kabul-Kandahar for 3rd Mughal King Akbar. Infact, in mughal empire, the land right from from Kabul to Bengal was actually conquered by Indian King Raja Man Singh when he allied with 3rd Mughal King Akbar as there was ego tussle between Raja Man Singh and Maharana Pratap. That's a different story altogether.
And the exact geographical area of Mughal Empire was - Kabul in the North West to Bengal in the east and to Satpura range in the frontiers of deccan. And below mughal empire, there was Ahmednagar Sultanate, Bijapur Sultanate and Golcondas. And below them there was scattered areas which were left, after the fall of Vijayanagar Empire.

PART 4 : Ray of Hope called Chatrapati Shivaji & Rise of The Maratha Empire
      1. In Indian History if there is any hero then that title should be given to Legend Chatrapati Shivaji. Why?Bcos this legend literally saved whole civilisation, against all odds, when all other civilisation were wiped out by Abrahamic Faiths & Islamist & there was no hope left.
      2. Chatrapati Shivaji was born in 1630. At that time, mughals have completely invaded half of India. And mughal army was standing at the door of Deccan.
3.Rapid islamisation was being done by invaders, with temples being destroyed, women were abducted, raped & forcefully converted, people were massacred just bcos they refused to accept islam etc. Many horrible things were done. And these things are documented in mughal texts.
      4. It was a very horrible time for Indians. No hope left. Infact, it was said at that time, if this continues then within 50 years India would completely become Islamised & lose its culture and identity.
      5. Seeing all this, then a 15 year old boy, Shivaji takes a vow in a temple to establish an Indegenious Empire once again, establish a Hindavi Swaraj (self rule of Hindus/Indians) which later came to be known as also known as The Maratha Empire.
Shivaji takes blessing from his mother,Jijabai & gave her, his word of defeating these invaders & establishing an Indian Empire once again. He starts his military career at a tender age of 15 year, with no support of any indian kings. He did not have any regular army with trained soldiers, not much wealth to maintain etc.
      6. So he builds his army with civilians, like farmers, ironsmiths, tribals etc & not with some trained soldiers. And trains them, gives them hope. Shivaji knew that he cannot face his enemies directly, as they were much stronger than him. So he devised a tactic called - guerilla warfare & since Shivaji army comprised of farmers & tribals, so he uses their geographical & climate knowledge to his full advantage. And he smartly devised his military tactics. He captures first fort called Torna Fort in 1646 at a young age of 16. And later on Shivaji killed General Afzal Khan. And this gave confidence to people under Shivaji that we can turn the tide. And Shivaji also revived the Indian Naval power once again & by 1680, Shivaji had over 380 forts. And with that he established his dominance over the Southern part of India & also re-captured the coastal areas from invaders.
      7. This gave confidence to other Indians that we can bounce back, then mughals had face off with the hindus from other frontiers too apart from just deccan. And this gave rise to The Epic 27 Year Long War between Mughals Vs Hindus, which started from 1680(approx.) to 1707.
-> Mughal Vs Maratha (1680-1707),which starts with the arrival of Aurangzeb in deccan in 1680.
-> Mughal Vs Rajput (1680-1707), which starts under Durgadas Rathore from the western frontier of mughal empire to fight the mughals.
-> Mughal Vs Jats (1681-1707), which starts under Rajaram Jat, Ramchehra Jat, & Churaman Jat to fight the mughals which started with the Jat revolt broke out in Agra in 1681.
This 27 Year long War was a make or break for hindus. With the collective efforts of hindus, mughals lost their supremacy & with the death of Aurangzeb in 1707, the mughal dominance was practically over. And after that onwards,The Maratha Empire became the dominant force over India replacing mughals and At its peak Maratha Empire stretched from Attock to Peshawar in the North West to Tanjore(Tamil Nadu) in the south & to Cuttack to influence reaching Bengal in east with Nawabs of Bengal handed over Orissa & agree to pay Rs 1.2 million of chauth(annual taxes) from revenue of Bengal & Bihar to Maratha Empire.
      9. People don't realise the fact that British did not conquered India from mughals but from The Hindu Maratha Empire, which was established by Chatrapati Shivaji.
*My Personal opinion - This is something which i dislike about our ancestors that when The Maratha Empire became the dominant force, they had the golden opportunity to bring back everyone to Sanatana Dharma. But unfortunately they did not made any serious efforts regarding this. And this is a common mistake which our ancestors have been making for past many centuries. And this is a thing with hindus that they accomodate multiple belief system without analysing that belief system of another. Infact among 6-8 major school of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) , one of them is based on atheism & they are called Charvaks. Infact Sanatan Dharm is the only culture, which allows atheism to practise. And Many great sages of Hinduism were actually Charvaks. And there are many things like this.

Another Fun fact, there are divisions in the Indian Army that trace thier roots directly back to the armies of medevil rajputana, and again there's a division in the Army that traces its roots straight back to Rana Sangha and Maha Rana Prataaps armies.

Prathiharas, in my opinion, do not receive the hype they should.
They lived at a period when the Arab conquest of India was being led predominantly by the Umayyad and Abbasid Caliphate. Although it only took the Arabs only 30 years to overthrow the Mighty Sassanid Empire, it took them until the 12th century to build a viable governance in India. I believe the Prathiharas are the reason.
The Gurjara Pratihara Empire was instrumental in stopping Arab incursions and their spread over northern India. The Pratihara kings repeatedly repulsed repeated efforts by the Arab soldiers of the Umayyad Caliphate to seize the area. Arab gains were effectively thwarted by the empire's potent military might and tactical defence systems. Their cavalry was praised and feared by Arabs.
Because of its advantageous location in the northwest of the Indian subcontinent, the Gurjara Pratihara Empire served as a natural check on Arab expansion. The empire's domains included areas of what are now Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. Geographical obstacles like the huge Thar Desert and the Aravalli mountain range prevented the Arab soldiers from entering the interior of India.
The Gurjara Pratihara Empire was renowned for its effective governance and political stability. Under the direction of strong Emperors like Nagabhata I, Mihira Bhoja, and Nagabhata II, the empire was able to successfully organise its armed forces and mobilise resources to fend off Arab invasions. A cohesive front against foreign threats was made possible by the empire's political stability, which also prevented Arab groups from achieving large territorial advances.
The Gurjara Pratihara Empire's cultural fortitude was essential in fending off Arab encroachment and upholding the native Indian culture. The support of the empire for the arts, literature, and architecture mixed with the ethos of Kshatriya Valor encouraged the development of a unique regional culture. The Arab expansion, which aimed to impose Islam and Arab cultural standards in the conquered countries, was resisted by this cultural persistence.
Future historical occurrences were profoundly influenced by the Gurjara Pratihara Empire's victorious defence against Arab invasions. Later Indian kings confronting foreign invasions found inspiration in the empire's military might and capacity to repel external challenges. Future regional powers were able to stave off invasions from abroad because to the Pratihara Emperors' legacy of resistance.
Prathiharas, in my stubborn view, need a lot more attention and the spotlight. Prathihara means Guardian of Entrance and they did just that.

Not denying the prowess and the military genius of Arabs and their generals, but they were extremely lucky in their initial expansion. They essentially got the Byzantine and Sassanian Empires with their pants down and Visigothic Spain was in turmoil as well. Whenever they fought well organised realms their expansion was checked, be it the Pratiharas or the Franks.

11:05 One of if not the oldest Christian denomination in India is the Malankara Church, an institution practicing the Syriac rite and part of the communion of Oriental Orthodox Christianity, also known as the Miaphysites, decended from the Monophosite denomination that had been declared heretical at the Council of Chalcedon, but nevertheless persisted in the Eastern Med and Middle East areas. I'm not entirely sure on this bit, but I think Miaphysitism emerged from the old monophosite tradition partially reconciling with or taking influences from the branch of Chalcedonian Christianity that went on to become Eastern Orthodox. Besided the Malankara, other Oriental Orthodox churches include the Armenian, Chaldean, Syriac, Melkite, Coptic, Ethiopian and Eritrean ones.

In 1303 another large Mongol force, led by Targhi Beg (the same warrior who killed Zafar Khan), laid siege to Delhi while Alauddin was busy besieging the Rajput fortress of Chit tor, Delhi, however, withstood the attack, giving Alauddin time to organize his forces and plan for the inevitable confrontation. In the long campaign. that followed in the next few years, Alauddin's forces were totally victorious. The battles that occurred throughout the campaign resulted in a tremendous slaughter of the Mongols. In time, the Mongols developed a great fear of the Khilji army, its cavalry in particular, and "all fancy of coming to Hindustan was washed clean out of their breasts."
A measure of Alauddin Khilji's military genius was that, even as he conducted a successful campaign against the invading Mongols, he also waged a war against India's surviving Hindu kingdoms. This campaign began in 1297 with the easy conquest of Gujrat, after which he turned his attention to the powerful Rajput kingdoms of Kanthanbor and Chittor. After capturing the former in 1300-1301, he laid siege to the formidable fortress city of Chit tor, which he captured after eight months; he then ordered its population of 30,000 massacred." The conquest of Ranthanbor and Chittor destroyed the two most powerful Rajput strongholds and broke Rajput power in north ern India. Although Alauddin continued to wage war against other Rajput kingdoms, none would henceforth offer any serious opposition.

Raja Nanak was also famous by the name of Baba Gehna (which means the old with plenty of gold reserves) Among these Rehmat settled in Suk Kalan (a famous village near Jalalpur Jattan Distt: Gujrat)' His son Ramazan settled in Laddha Sadaha, a nearby village etc. Ramzan had one son Ali Muhammad resided in Tapaei village. His sons Moula-dad, Muhammad Din, Shamas Din and Eid Bakhsh settled in Gharhi Shahdoula in Gujart city around 1890 or later. Can anybody trace the history of this generation as some of the forefathers settled in Sindh and other parts of Punjab. Nothing complicated, who are the Kshatriyas (Rajputs)? They are the warriors of Bharat and are pure Aryans. The Aryan race originated in Northwestern Indian subcontinent and touching Central Asia. While Bharat Matar has many races she loves them equally. However, 72% Bharatis are Aryans and they are to be found even in the extreme South regions of Bharat. Even parts of what is Afghanistan today was ruled by Kshatriyas (Rajputs). Rajput is not a caste but a title (sons of kings) and the caste is Kshatriyas. The Brahmans and Kshatriyas share Gotras. The Kshatriyas in harsh climates can have a tan while those in mild climates like Kangra can be extremely light. While we Jats have our own distinct Gotras. Indeed these Kshatriyas are among the best fighters on planet earth and are known for chivalry and nobility. No genuine Kshatriya will marry a non-Kshatriya or a Kshatriya of the same Gotra. The Hunas were made up of distinct tribes. The white Huns who came to Bharat were pure Aryans. Example Mihirakula was a pure Aryan Hun. He belonged to the Suryvanshi Kshatriya (Rajput) family. His very name tells us this. Mihira (Sanskrit Sun), Kula (Sanskrit Clan). He was a Shiva worshipper and Buddhist baiter. His very coins depict him with large eyes and sharp-nosed and have Aryan language writing. These Huns were not Turks as some people with an agenda are making them to be. Kshatriya (Rajputs) are found in every region of the Indian subcontinent. In reality the Arabs were thrashed by the Brahman King of Sind Dahir. Dahir made an error and was harsh on his own people thus Mohammad Bin Qasim got help from these people. Later n the Kshatriyas threw the powerful Arabs of that period out of Sind.

"It's easy to take civilazation for granted. All the devices we watch UA-cam on, markets full of food, goods from all over the world, and peaceful times. Often, all it takes is a small number of reckless nariscisstic entitled morons running the show, incapable of self criticism, to send things spiraling out of control. " - Epimetheus
