    Can you explain in detail how the value of Q is directly taken as 0.3at time stamp, 6.40?

    • @SealSchool
      @SealSchool  3 роки тому +5

      If it is given in the question that the feed is entering with 70% vapour, then 30% will be liquid.
      Hence in this you can take q=30/100 that is 0.3
      All the best to you !

    • @kjgaming4438
      @kjgaming4438 3 роки тому +2

      Ok.. So, basically, value of q is ratio of liquid fraction to total feed fraction?

    • @kjgaming4438
      @kjgaming4438 3 роки тому +1

      @@SealSchool so, q = 30/(30+70)?

      In this problem you can apply this.
      Better watch the part 2 video given link in the description, It contains everything about the value of q and the q-line.

    May I know why reflux ratio increases , number stages required will decreases

      Hi, i might try to help and answer you question. If we look at the equation for Upper Operating Line in McCabe-Thiele method, you would notice that its slope (gradient) is determined by reflux ratio, as R got larger the slope gets steeper, there is less chance of creating a "bounce" or more horizontal line because the vertical line has to travel further down before eventually bounce and create a horizontal line. So generally, the less the space between the VLE curve and the operating lines , the more likely it is to form more stages and vice versa

      Seal School I see. I have an exam in four days and your videos are helping me a lot. Can you talk about optimum Reflex, Plate and Column Efficiency, and Azeotropic Distillation? Thanks in advance.
