Wow he’s lucky he got CPR so fast. That cop is a hero. 💁🏻♀️ “There are roughly 350,000 resuscitation attempts outside hospitals each year in the United States, with average survival rates of 5 to 10 percent, and 750,000 attempts in hospitals, with about a 20 percent survival rate.”
YEARS ago, back in the 1950s, people would NOT have been outside working like that in a rain storm. Nowadays, I see people doing all kinds of stuff in the rain: cutting grass, speeding, etc. Next time sir, WAIT UNTIL THE STORM IS OVER!
even in the 80's we knew to go inside, making sure the kids and pets were safe in the house and no way we even took a bath if there was lightning nearby. Even dinner dishes which were usually washed immediately had to wait until the storm was over. And that was INSIDE the house. We made the kids even scared to turn the lights on and off. There sure was a different mindset back then of protecting your children.
It's a weird sensation because you can feel it before it strikes sometimes. Your hair lifts because the air becomes still and encircles you like something is there, and instinctly you try to back away. 😁Creepy feeling. Happened to me standing in the open doorway, but letting go of the metal doorhandle just before it struck. ( There was a body of water nearby so that increased the chances.) Maybe. Glad this poor man survived. 🙏
It was not that bad and the bolt generally come up from ground to air then there are little leaders off to side How does dry lightning happen dry lightning ? A dry lightning cell exists when it has met three criteria: rainfall less than 0.10in (0.25in for the Southern and Eastern map), fuel (not classified as barren, urban or water), and a positive or negative cloud to ground lightning strike.
and you could observe ball lightening too, road was being constructed in 1971 in front of moms house, July 1971, a severe thunderstorm was coming no rain buy i peeeked out front door to detour barricades and this ball appeared blue white yellow size of basketball followed the detour barricades for 50 ft and went pffffffft gone.......strange sight
Last week I had a bolt hit the asphalt street about 100 yards in front of me, blew a hole in the road and was smoking as I went by. I looked up and said "missed me again!!" LOL. That was the first thing I thought of too.

There’s an episode of unsolved mysteries where a man was struck by lightning and lived and became more spiritual after
@@laurab9518 You can only truly become more spiritual by obtaining the Holy Spirit which only comes from having faith in Jesus
