From the developer:
The classic transport simulation genre has a new gold standard with Transport Fever 2. Discover a whole new world by navigating transport routes through land, water and air. May progress and prosperity find their way!
Provide the world with the transport infrastructure it needs and make a fortune with custom-made transport services. Watch your trains run on rails, your buses and trucks thunder along roads, your ships power through the water, and your planes soar through the skies. Carry people on their way to work or play, and be the reason cities grow and thrive. Deliver raw materials and goods to drive the economy. Experience the greatest logistical challenges from 1850 to the present day, and build a transport empire unrivaled anywhere else on the globe!
Free play offers a huge range of creative possibilities, while campaign mode re-writes transport history across three continents. Transport Fever 2 offers a choice of over 200 vehicles from Europe, America and Asia, modeled in extreme detail; and with the in-game map editor, you can re-create landscapes from three different climate zones. Finally, the realistic transport and economy simulator, along with comprehensive modding support, round off the gameplay experience.
Open Up the World
A huge game world is waiting for your railroads, road vehicles, aircraft and ships. Intuitive interactive rail construction tools and a modular construction system for stations make it easy to build and expand your transport empire; and thanks to a wide range of configuration options, every free play game provides a new challenge, where completely different strategies can lead to success.
Write Transport History
Three historic campaigns set in different time periods and located on three separate continents will challenge you with different objectives …only transport magnates will manage to complete all the missions! Voiceovers and cutscenes enrich the story and contribute to a thrilling gameplay experience, and even the free play mode will challenge you with different achievements to unlock.
Optimize the Infrastructure
It is vital to adapt your company to the needs of the economy and cities: bridges, tunnels, switches, rail signals, one-way streets, light signals, and bus lanes are just some of the possibilities you can use to optimize the transport infrastructure. Even train stations and airports can be expanded with modules in order to meet different requirements; and various data layers help you visualize traffic volumes and emissions, and provide information for further improvements.
Free your Creativity
Thanks to the detailed game world, you can develop your very own virtual railroad landscape: the map editor provides the possibility to create countless different worlds; the terrain in the game can be adjusted and painted; and thanks to the extensive modding support, new creations are being developed constantly, which are available for free via the Steam Workshop and which can be easily integrated into the game.

About me:
My name is Mark and I'm a middle aged (old) gamer doing let's plays of games I'm playing, some old and some new. I've found that recording and sharing game play video is fun, and makes the games I play even more enjoyable. This is a hobby for me with my goal to provide at least a few videos a week, as many as I have time for.
I do hope you find these videos enjoyable! Comments are more than welcome, especially tips if I've done something silly (which is most of the time). Likes and subscribes are always appreciated!
Short, precise and to the point. Great tutorial
Great tutorial. I can't wait to get my hands on this game in December!
Best tutorial I've found about this issue. Exactly the information I was looking for, nothing more, nothing less. Bravo👍
Thanks Pii
Thank you thank you thank you!! I learned soooo much from this video! It looks like from what you were saying that you were working in beta but all these features are now live and frankly I got a little confused on how how to load a map that I made.
Thank you for taking the time to do this video!
Blessings!
Brilliant video. This is one of the new features that I am SO looking forward to playing with. To have so much flexibility all within the game is a dream come true. Tomorrow I finally get my pre-order copy. This is one of the few developers that I willingly by from on release day!!
Brilliant! You got everything I needed to know into a short, very precise and perfectly made video, you have no idea how nice it is to hear a clear well modulated commentary, without any Yo's Yah's or GUY's GUY's Guy's.
Well done, now hopefully I can create a map with the right amount of the correct industries to match town requirements.
It may not be a game I play, but you make great content to relax and watch!
Cool, I saw the map editor button.. Just haven't clicked on it yet, but i will now!
All the tools have a purpose, as you said ''you don't know why you would use them". When building infrastructure and cityscapes all terrain tools are useful. Thanks for the video.
Wow they really went all in on the editor. Thank God I really wanted one in the previous game. I also see you can add a cargo demand to residential which is a nice touch.
Thanks a lot. Very simple and good overview of the map editor!
Really nice. I loaded up the Map Editor and jumped right back into my game. :P Going to enjoy seeing what maps you come up with.
Damn so finally we can actually make realistic worlds, where having both intercity trains trains that stop everywhere!
A well done tutorial. I think you covered everything.
Just pre-ordered the game...can't wait to get my hands on...
Hi Tolakram... I came across this random video, started watching it, and thought, I know that voice. hehe
Didn't know I could make my own maps, no sleep for me this week!
Thanks for the tutorial!!! This is so exciting!!!
This is going to be so amazing I am so stoked for this. Damn its going to be a long 2 weeks
Great tutorial. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. (Hoping I'll find more TPF2 stuff on your chan!)
If this had mod support, Cities Skylines would become almost irrelevant. Thank you for the excellent video.
Great work. Nice, detailed presentation!!! 💯
That's great! Looking fwd to the game.
Very useful Thanks!
Nice! I'm super jealous. I'm waiting until Dec 11th. ☹️
Hey man this video allowed me to find your channel. You've earned a sub! What an awesome tutorial. I'll definitely be watching your channel if you do a TF2 playthrough.
@@Tolakram It's Michael. I made this Google account like 15 years ago and I didn't want my parents to find it because I wasn't supposed to have it so I named it some random name lol. I've moved out years ago but still use this account because why change it lmao.
Reminds me of window xp default background 1:41
Ich kann nicht warten bis das Spiel draußen ist. Sorry for my german dude.
Good Video
Good Job there TK
My son edit the map using only the square tool.. The result is amazing... Yea it don´t look realistic, but it looks really cool
Great tutorial. :)
Can you add water in the map editor?
OMG THANK YOU!!!
Awesome!!!
Awesome video! Really enjoyed it. Can you manually add rivers and such?
@@Tolakram Awesome, Thanks!
Muito bom seu vídeo!!! Espero um dia muito próximo poder jogar esse jogo.
Impressive editor, thanks for showing us around it. However I noticed the import button, would it be possible to import something like the UK islands as a starting point, and if so, how would I get the map in the first place to import? It would be good to see some real world locations on the workshop later on.
@@Tolakram Excellent, I'll take a look when I finally get the game.
Realy nice tutorial.
so yeah now its the year 2000 ... LOS ANGELES!!!!
Thanks
I subscribed, good video, tks
Is there a way (or a map that exists) that has all three map types within one map? Id really like a temperate/desert/tropical map all in one
I really hope someone finds a way to introduce a mod that allows you to plop town assets like buildings.
Awesome tutorial. Thank you so much.
Is there any link between, or do you have any tips about linking, industrial areas within cities and actual industries? I will want to place production of raw materials eg farms, mines, oil wells etc in rural areas but factories should be in or close to cities. What are your thoughts on this?
@@Tolakram They should connect automatically and you can still place them ingame when you are in Sandbox Mode. Which goods every city accepts is part of city creation you can choose that there.
Great tutorial , one question , can you import heightmaps to the editor , just like you can do with cities skylines editor?
@@Tolakram Thanks for a fast reply , got a bunch of cool heightmaps from CS , done a lot of maps for that game.
How did you get the earnings to nearly hit 0?
I want to make a section of the city as a "do not build here" section so that in game its already setup so you can put a train line through for example. Is there a way other then what I am doing right now (which is putting industries in the way temporarily) to prevent the city from using certain parts of its area?
Is it possible to build everything but with no budgets or budget limits ? I would like to just play with building and modeling and not worry about how much it costs.
There's a no cost option when you play the game.
Vera good
If you set values in the editor/simulation to 800, and then save and go to "normal play" mode, will demand stay that high, or will it fluctuate depending on amount of goods/passengers transported?
magnifique !!! j'ai trop hate !!!! :)
Can you download other buildings to add to your city ?
Not at the time this was made but I'd look into the mods available on steam. The previous version had a lot of buildings and industries you could add.
I hope they optimise the game better this time.....
can water be at a higher level than bottom?
how can i set the map that i have it like the random maps, when i build my map i have more than 100 millions minus. Is there no Option to set it like a Random map for the start ?
8:36 whahaha XD
how do i download a map and add it to my game? i added UK map, it shows in the mod settings of game, but i have no option to play map?
@@Tolakram thanks for reply.the mod shows up in the setttings but it does not show in the map list. what can i do?
How can i make the map bigger?
Tolakram Thx
max population one city?
The max pop is limited by two main factors first how much pop does the city have in the first place and second how many cities you have on the map.
Too bad the population tops out at 1100. That's pretty limiting.
"same as the options for transport fever one"
Oh. ok.
So, max population per city is around 2K or that's just how big it can be at the start?
@@Tolakram Okay thank you. 2-4K population and that there's no (?) emergency services are the things I personally dont like. I know it's a transport sim rather than city building game but there's so much detail and cool mechanics put into this game that having hospitals, police and fire departments is must have imo.
@@badAim2 The cities are just there to have something to Transport. Emergency would not add anything to transport. I would rather prefer better overhead masts placement for example or correct clothoids for railway curves and inclines.
U haven't covered enything 'bout water!
Tanks you're beautiful
Yes finnaly a can build small citys for small trains and i dont need to use only big trains in the end
