The fact that its the 3rd game in the franchise and the cars still cant overtake even though there is an empty lane next to them is completely baffling.
Because all those trucks had to turn LEFT after that long bridge, to get on the correct routing for their future transport lines. Half of them sitting in the RIGHT lane wouldnt help, would it? Because they'd still have to turn in on the inner lane again before the intersection. The thing baffling here is your lack of comprehension of how traffic lines work. This is NOT the same problem as in Cities Skylines. Different games.

I think the traffic would went through smoother if you put in a sunken highway that runs through the cities rather than simply connecting it directly to a city street. Having more than one on and off ramp also helps. That way congestion isn't too much of a problem and your industry gets their product to the city faster. Train yards would also make your city more realistic. Other than that, great job. I can tell you spent so many hours on this alone.
Im on a tropical map with TONS of Islands and not much mainland so ive ended up building polders so i can let my cities expand more. One of them is a small cluster of 5 islands containing what was a few small towns and an iron ore mine. The mine is still there and its surrounded by skyscrapers XD
I keep thinking “what if we could build cities in Cities: Skylines, and then send them over to Transport Fever 2 to make the public transportation network”
This game is like a virtual Meccano set, actually. The point of Meccano was you could build anything you wanted with several nuts, metal strips, bolts, etc. This game is like that. You have four transport methods - road, train, ship and aircraft - and you in sandbox mode can run wild with it. Imagination is your limit in this game.
Wow… just wonderful. Even I can only make a crappy public transport system in a town with a population of 44k... You sir are a GOD at this. If this game looks so gorgeous and it's from a lesser-known dev than Cities Skylines', I guess Colossal Order needs to step up their game.

Could you please share the cites charts? I'm interested about the base population and growth rate. What had the biggest impact on the growth. Because it was insane. Within a 10 years it looks 10x bigger.
And GTA was released 6 years ago. If cities was no longer supported by paradox, I would agree with you. But Paradox still work on it and therefore they get to be called out on their failures.
@@theoneseraph GTA 5 have recieved several graphical updates since it's original launch, especially when it was ported over to PC. So it's not really fair to compare it. Besides, Rockstar is a slightly larger company than paradox and GTA have always had a larger player base and demand for up-to-date graphics. A city building sim is not exactly expected to up it's graphics every 3 years.
@@Busketroll This isn't just about graphical updates. It's about staying ahead of your competition. Aside from RDR2, is there another sandbox open world shooter which can say it's doing something better than GTA? No, is the answer. Paradox have been doing the same thing with their grand strategy titles, they are kinda leading the way on that front. But they have a city building title which is being compared to a transport tycoon. That's a problem. Cities Skylines needs to be the best at what it does or it gets flak from the fans when they see other games do things they should be doing better. That's not to say cities is a bad game, I personally love it, but to say it doesn't need improvements because Paradox is too small, just gives them an excuse to be lazy. I'll admit putting paradox up against one of the biggest games companies in the world is a bit unfair but the point stands.
@@theoneseraph Look, i don't condone Paradox' lazy way of doing things, they're practically tearing apart games such as CK2 and EU4 with constant garbage filler DLC that costs a fortune when added up together. However, most people in this comment section complain about Cities' graphics, which i don't see any problem with as it's more than likely the art style that's putting people off and to be fair Cities is probably the one game Paradox has with the least amount of DLC's (excluding their most recent releases of course).
