Thank you for making this video. I think booking a hotel in Staten Island near the start is not a bad idea either. It is a long haul to get back afterwards, but you get to wear your medal and enjoy hopping around town with your friends and family.
If you are reading this and are running 2023, I pray for cooler conditions unlike 2022 🥵 Very solid tips here and get that early ferry 🥱 There was some congestion last year 😮 Mile 13 bridge, mile 16 bridge and mile 23 incline: be prepared 🏔️ All the best for arguably the best marathon with the loudest crowd ever ❤ 🍏 🗽
Hi! Came across your video. Thank you for the tips. Question, my start time is 11:30 am and my Ferry transportation is at 9 am. Will i get more time to maybe relax a little bit before the race? First time marathoner here. ❤
Same here! Many say it takes around 90 minutes from the Ferry, then quick bus trip, so you would probably have around an hr. I would check tho when the corral open and close! I start at 9:45am but my corral closes at 9:25. That would cut time too
You’ll have quite a bit of hanging around to do. Get some warm throw away clothes from a charity shop and bring something to eat. It’s the best race in the world, you’ll have a blast!
Thanks a lot for your tips. Running this November and with lots of questions this video brings some peace of mind.
Exciting! It's an amazing experience, enjoy!
Helpful tips for a first timer running this year. Thanks.

You’ll have a great time. It's a fantastic race!
I was the guy in the green hat near the finish!
