bravo girl. your one of the few i've seen pour oil from a quart bottle correctly. most people pour with the spout at the bottom and wonder why it "chugs".
Did you have rear wheel chocks? Parking brake on? You should always have a secondary lifting mechanism in case the jack stand fails the hydraulic jack should remain under the car as a backup to prevent you from getting crushed if the jack stands fail
Awesome video. I been waiting to perform my own oil change but was concerned about using safety stands to keep the car elevated. Was looking into building wooden cribbing to place underneath the tires to raise the vette. Nice job Raquel.
The video was amazing like always so close to 100k subscribers and your videos make my day and they help me get through the rough times keep up the amazing work 💜
Watched a Donut Media video that made me think of you changing the oil. Sweet little trick of spinning off filter with a disposable plastic cup to catch any oil before it even hits your hands. Love all your vids. Keep it up, keep smiling. 💜
There’s definitely a lot of things you can do for content ideas ! Id love to see maybe new headers, taillights, side skrts, spolier, headlights even, or a cam !
I been saying she needs to post some racing content with the camaro, I'm thinking she only twin turboed it and did all those performance upgrades for show.
I have always used Mobil 1 Extended Performance. I change mine once a year but I only put like 1000-1500 mile on it. Even my Corvette has Mobil 1 on the oil cap. Also wait until you get a new bumper.
You could pin the crankshaft for content. (LS engines don't come with a keyed crankshaft for the harmonic balancer) A crankshaft pin kit is available online.
Get a quick jack or at least some lift pucks! Also jack stands can be/should be put on the aluminum cross member. You can also put blocks under the tires as safety measures. *Safety First/Safety Always!*
Sometimes finding an oil leak or leaks can be more trouble than it's worth. If it's the rear main seal I just put some AT-205 Re Seal in the crankcase and just check the oil level once a week. Sometimes trying to fix an oil leak can cause three problems for every one it solves.
Dang that oil is expensive! Is it full synthetic and is it better than Mobile 1 or valvoline full synthetic? I can’t wait for the s10 after ur all done with it!
If I don't have anything special, I use my "man's finger" on 9" wrench to torque down the drain plug and crush washer. That's how little it needs to be torqued. They range around pound per inch instead of pound per feet. Impact wrench will definitely strip the threads, especially on aluminum pans.
That's not an impact, it's just a power ratchet. The thing probably barely has 40 lbs of torque & she looked to be very light on the trigger. However, if it were my car I would stick with hand tools on tightening drain plugs.
The Corvette sounds good and choppy with the cam i it👌🏾👌🏾🔥🔥🔥 More videos on the Corvette and the S10👌🏾👌🏾 Shout out Raquel from The Rio Grande Valley 956🌴🌴✌🏾✌🏾
6:20, at least GM got smart and put the oil drain on the side of the pan on the C6 instead of the front like my C5. The C5 is kind of a pain to change.
hola raquel, i am no expert ( belive me ) but it seems a little dangerous the position of those lifters, when you lowered the car jack you could hear something cracking, be safe, saludos.
No,No honey please don't use a power tool to install a fill plug. Use a box end wrench or a combination wrench or even a 1/4 inch drive socket wrench just to finish up your last1/4 to 1/2 turn, and of course to get the plug out in the first place .S.A.E coarse thread plugs should be easy to thread until seated in most cases And if you need to clean the threads on the plug , a wire brush will do.If you don't have a thread chaser, also clean your plug hole out too! An inch LB. torque wrench could be used on the plug if you want mfg. spec's. Girls and Women should familiarize themselves with their vehicles and learn how to do basic maintenance.Buying a good shop manual on your particular vehicle is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED additionally a decent set of hand tools should get you started, don't buy junk and Keep on keeping on girl !!
Love the C6, bootys bangin too. Watched this while winding down after work. First time viewer, wanna see you rip a burnout and a couple donuts in the C6. For R&D purposes of course. Haha.
I have never watched an oil change video with such enthusiasm🤣🤣

this video is literally perfect timing. I just got my c6 less than a month ago and want to do an oil change.
Watched a Donut Media video that made me think of you changing the oil. Sweet little trick of spinning off filter with a disposable plastic cup to catch any oil before it even hits your hands. Love all your vids. Keep it up, keep smiling. 💜
You have such a positive attitude about that oil leak. Nice move with the channel locks taking off the oil filter 😉
It's because she's a mechanic and can fix most things on her car. They never really care.
Gratz on 100k. Keep up the great content! ❤
I love corvettes and this one is so sweet. Sounds awesome Amazing what you do with cars I can’t wait to see the truck finished

They got there shoot, not to with arms, okay sling shots stay in alive sand storm glad they got us involved.
It looks like the previous owner drove that C6 pretty hard. It definitely needs some TLC.
Do you live in Florida? Just curious cuz it looks like it by the environment. Great video by the way

Yay C6 content 🙂 It needs a lot of work but I know you going to make it sick like the Camaro. Keep up the good work
Nice job! Glad to see you bringing this car back

Your store front doesn’t work. Also what camera do you use to record your content it looks good!
Cool car, try spraying sum purple power underneath car and wash it ,high mileage oil good on them cars, but great video 💪🏻
Love your content! Keep up the good work, Raquel! :)
Can't wait to see what you do with this C6.
Sometimes finding an oil leak or leaks can be more trouble than it's worth. If it's the rear main seal I just put some AT-205 Re Seal in the crankcase and just check the oil level once a week. Sometimes trying to fix an oil leak can cause three problems for every one it solves.
Ahahah I know my camaro had an oil leak for 5 years I won’t even go for it until I build the motor
That camaro is so dope. I love your videos keep them coming. You are a darling peace n love 👋❤️.

I love this girl as a crazy boy
I love her videos i really love them
Keep it up!! You’re going places they don’t make them like you anymore 😉
The oil drip is usually from the valve cover gasket or the oil pan gasket
Dang that oil is expensive! Is it full synthetic and is it better than Mobile 1 or valvoline full synthetic? I can’t wait for the s10 after ur all done with it!
i hope you torqued the drain plug down instead of using an impact drill lol great video otherwise as always ✌✌

Was the oil filter cracked loose before you started filming its removal? It looked really loose.
No just edited the part out because it took me forever to get it off lol it was on way to tight
Just so you know when doing a oil change in those vettes it has to be fully leveled

Never even heard of that Oil.. Oh, Racing Oil interesting but $20 a qt. Jeez!! Better b Good..AWEsome!!!
Love you
Or ams oil?
you forgot to block your back wheels, dear. dont want you getting crushed
I swear whatever they’re putting in Starbucks drinks I gotta send a thank you email.
03:54 placing the jackstand under a flat surface its quite dangerous,,,wonder if thats the right spot to place the jackstand under in this vehicle
It is the right spot
💜💜💜💜
Punch a hole in the bottom of the filter with a nail or a punch and let it drain out alot less of a mess
My question is why this oil? And not the best Castrol oil that you can't buy in auto zone/advance/etc? ( you gotta order) and why is the hood off?
This is way better
@@RecklessRaquel for Chevy or?
When I do my oil change I ues a Ramps to put up my car!!
i think if you show same love to ur C6 like the wy you do with ur Camaro, C6 is going out run the Camaro.Thank you for the vid.🤙🇺🇸.

Just add headers to the list, of the other parts that needs to replace.

I heard a rumor there's sposed to be a car in the video. Haven't seen it yet.
