I own the 9750 diamond clean. It cleans well. great tech to help you clean well. I look at it like a used and new car. You still have to drive it to point A and B but one can make it a more desirable drive than the other. My point is do you need it.. no but if you can afford it it's great to have and definitely worth the coins.

You're suppose to take off the brush head after EVERY time you brush. Put the brush head into a Philips UV sanitizer and keep it clean. Rinse/clean the toothbrush handle completely and wipe it dry before putting it back on the charger.

Hi Stephen, I appreciate you pointing this out. Although, the Philips UV charger you mentioned retails for $50 on Amazon. Therefore, to resolve the residue/sanitary issues between the brush head and the toothbrush, the consumer needs to spend an additional $50. That’s why I listed this as a con.

@@FeaturedTech I’ve had two iterations of this type of brush from Philips and I just recently picked up the 9700. With regards to this cleaning issue, all I’ve had to do with either brush is rinse the handle and brush head while they’re together after each use and then after a few uses go by I take off the brush head and give both sides a good rinse. I may then choose to leave the brush head standing next to the charger (or in the glass if you use the glass) to thoroughly dry off until the next use, but it may be an unnecessary step. I’ve had no issues with my first brush (which I just d/c’d using after at least 2 years when I got the 9700) that was very much like the 9000 series brushes (sans the app feature) having any build up or degradation to the unit or its finish in all that time with the very minimal care mentioned above, and it really is minimal as it only takes a few seconds. If you think about it, it’s really similar to taking a regular toothbrush, using it, rinsing it and then dropping it into a cup or holder after every use. You’re going to get build-up on the bottom of that toothbrush that’s worse (in my opinion lol) than what you have to deal with around the brush head connection in these brushes when you rinse the brush after each use and take the head off for rinsing every few times.
I loved the previous iteration of this brush and felt like it made a positive difference in my oral health, even without having an app and while I’m still getting acquainted with this latest and greatest offering, I’m happy thus far and I think I will like this even more than the last brush. Though, I do agree that the price needs to come down at least a bit. I got mine using a 20% off code on an authorized retailers website and the brush was priced about the same as it is anywhere else, so I’m happy with that. I also used Rakuten’s cash back offering to “save” a bit more in the end, but even so, a starting price over $300 does seem unnecessary even if you really like the tech. Thanks for the video review and I hope you have a great weekend!

So just take the head off and rinse it when you're done brushing .....it tells you to do that in the manual

I had my diamond clean toothbrush for 7 years I never had a buildup under the toothbrush head on the handle but I also rinse my toothbrush after brushing which I noticed u obviously do not rinse your which is why u have that huge build up of dried toothpaste residue

Same. Had mine for 7 years and it bit the dust recently. But I've never had issues keeping my brush handle clean. I suppose some people are just messy at brusing their teeth. That's also a reason some people never get more than 3--5 years of use.

Can someone please tell me what’s exactly the difference between diamondclean 9700 or 9750 and 9000 because the toothbrush itself looks pretty much the same and has same cleaning options, i want to know because I’m looking forward buying this toothbrush

Wireless? lol You still have to connect the USB and the power cord to charge the toothbrush.

It’s still wireless charger… of course the base needs a power source. You expect power to come from out of thin air?
You really thought you sounded smart with your comment lol
