Just some info: Cineteca Nacional is not a local movie place. It's a cultural film space. Different movies from Mexico and the world are screened there. For example they're now screening "2001: A Space Odissey" amongst other films. Last semester was the Brazilian and German film fest. People can also take courses on film. There's not only western cinema, for example there was the Iranian film fest and the Mongolian film fest.

The video quality was nice. The background music was a little unnecessary and too loud at the beginning of the video when they were walking in Coyoacan. Overall, their screen personality was poor, his more than the girl. He was such a buzz kill, reminds me of some of my town white friends from Canada who have zero care or interest to other cultures, history and such. I was not surprised that he was already complaining or expecting the worst from the one tostada, his indifference for walking down the market. I feel like he's not a real traveler, seems like he fits best in a resort, Florida or some basic English speaking place that will sell fried food like chicken wings, nuggets or chicken strips.
However, anyone who loves architecture, gastronomy and history would be in love with Mexico City. It is definitely a chaotic yet beautiful and unique city imho.

Funny thing about that mall and the Mitikah Tower, is that it has actually affected rhe neighborhood where you were at with the cineteca, they've been taking water from the locals and have caused more traffic and slowly are genteifying the place, so a lot of people in the city don't like this mall.

Is it better to pay in pesos or US dollars?

Pesos, for sure! Unless you’re close to a resort town where they see a constant flow of tourists, the local currency is generally the way to go.
