- I recorded this video about 2 years ago and I have been needing to edit it since.
Follow me as I find a nice batch of maple saplings that were growing on both sides of a pond dam. This was a nice haul of Maples. I still need to go back and finish the job, and with it being a little over 2 years I'm sure more have grown in their place.

Thanks Nathan!
Please enjoy my other videos where I go harvest, make and explore with walking sticks. 😁
Hello, if you happen to garden you should compost your scraps if you don’t already! Great job!
That's a good idea!
Where do you sell your sticks
I sell them at craft shows, in displays at stores and online.
Have you ever tried pine?
Yes I have. But I don't really like it because the sap stays sticky for a very long time If it's harvested green. I'm really willing to work on and give it a ton of time is cedar.
But if I have some dried lumber that I can work down and I would definitely use that.
What it starts splitting at the end
Maple doesn't split or check as much as say an oak would. And that's why I cut the sticks way longer than what the final product will be. About 62 to 72 in long
For the lazy there's always Lowe's, Menards or the hardware store.
🤣 that's actually pretty funny! But what's the fun in that? 🤣
Where do you sell them?
Right now I sell them to folks who message me on my Facebook and also I set up 15 count stands in stores. I'm working to get an online store built up.
Ok. How much do you get for a stick?
