I used a bigger pull ring so I fold the ring over the head of the grenade and locks at the other end on the pin with a "click" when it passes over the crosspin and fits in 40mm pouches without worrying that the ring might snag on a branch or something.
Thanks for the video John. It was fun airsofting with you and your son earlier today. You will have to let me know when you guys go again so I can try to meet you there. -Brian
3 years late to the party here, but did you notice any difference between the burst disks you made and the stock ones in terms of sound output? I wanted to know the difference in thickness between the two so I can work out if I should double stack them for the added "oh shit" factor.
Is the pin thing suplosed to stay there without you holding it? (0:45) because mine doesnt and i cant get it to not go off immediately after pulling the pin so it blows up in my hand.
John Lin Yeah. After I fill it with green gas I can hear the grenade leaking from the top. I did contact airsoft innovations they said to lubricate the shuttle chamber and if that doesn’t work then to take it apart and lubricate the inside and the valve stuff. Both of those methods did not work
Be sure to generously lubricate the rubber O-rings on the shuttle. That is the KEY when you hear leakage upon filling of the XL Burst with gas. Do NOT store your XL Burst with the shuttle in the "ready" position. Leave it in the position where it's emerging from the XL Burst body.
John Lin alright thanks. I did lubricate the o rings and it still leaks. I contacted AI and they said they said something might be wrong with the shuttle

Nice tip!
Or just put 2 extra pull ring behind the rubber cover and when u drop the rubber cover keeps the pull ring near the grenade.

Brian,
Great to meet you. We'll go pew-pew again soon.
Thanks for the tip on the cello sheets, I knew someone had to know what material these were made out of to reproduce them d.i.y.

Better late than never.
No difference in subjective sound loudness using homemade disks.
@@JCLinInterests Thankya kindly for the info bud.
Tanck you.
make the vide you doing the discs please

It is supposed to stay in position without triggering the grenade.
Mine always leaks at the fill valve when I try to fill it
I have a leak from the valve, how can I stop that?
If you can a little bit about the sizes of the disc and any tips on cutting em
I am going to have to make a video just on cutting discs. They are 33mm diameter.
Here's the video:

I broke a gasket on the cylinder in the middle. The one on the inside. Do you know if that piece can be removed?
Jorge Franco
Yes. The shuttle can be removed to replace the gasket.
I can use the links that you have provided
J. Grimm
They are in the video description.
What would happen of you used 2 burst disks? Would it be louder?
Yes, it would be louder.
There will also be a 2-5 second delay between impact and detonation when 2 disks are used.
Thanks!
How many seconds with the gas?
Links don't work you should add the complete names of the items so they can be found if the links don't work
All links updated and tested to be working. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
John Lin thanks for checking on it good video
Hey John, I’m having an issue where my grenade leaks from the top of the grenade do you know of any solution?
Boonie Bros Would you describe in detail when it leaks and where?

Good luck. Let us know the outcome!
How did u make the burst discs?
Yes.
