- I drive to Downtown Tampa, Florida from Largo via Ulmerton Road and the Howard Frankland Bridge. This was my first time driving into Downtown Tampa and the ride was pretty smooth overall.

@@robertparker1180 Hi. It’s called that because it is usually a traffic nightmare to get across at morning and evening rush hour. I’ve personally missed flights because of delays on that bridge.

One thing this video of ActionKid's reminded me of that back when I was a young person growing up in Florida (was actually born there @ MacDill Air Force Base just south of Tampa, in November 1963, and was raised between St. Petersburg and New Port Richey to the north of Pinellas County in Pasco County, and still wish that ActionKid would take a visit there, as well as Safety Harbor, Dunedin, and Tarpon Springs in north Pinellas before he leaves) until June 1994 when I made the first of two moves to the Atlanta area (in 2010 I lived again back in St. Petersburg, only to return to Atlanta area), we use to call the Howard Franklin (that is the actually spelling of the bridges, it is actually named after a man of some significance, Howard Franklin, in the Tampa Bay area), the Howard Frankenstein bridge, or was that the Howard Frankensteen bridge. (I think it would been fun if ActionKid had referred to the bridge by it's well-remembered humorous nickname; I also remember that Q105/WRBQ radio station -- still around in the Tampa Bay area -- back when it was a TOP 40 station used to when it gave it's traffic report had monsterous sound effects whenever they would report on the traffic on the Howard Frankenstein).
Then you might also remember the upside down 95YNF bumper tags?

Much of what you were driving on was a causeway, a roadway on top of land or landfill. The bridge portion is in the middle and relatively short. Out of curiosity, what did the bumper sticker read that you liked so much? We could not see it.

Let's just say we're a bit more fiscally responsible down here when in comes to infrastructure, especially when you consider we have no state income tax.
@@321gates there are some drawbacks, in my neighborhood, the county only fills-in potholes. We need to repave, but that’s on us. We have to approve a tax levy. But, that puts the control back in our hands. I’ll take that over excessive taxation and misappropriation!
