You don't need to change a thing, just, more full podcasts. The studio is nice. The audio is good. The video adds so much that wouldn't be there if it was audio only. I would like to see you fit a full brass band into that podcast studio though, just for the hell of it.
Long time Coco fan, here... I didnt listen till the videos came out. I need the visuals to hold my attention. The video is awesome and makes it even better! Conan is a very physical comedian and not having visuals is actually taking away from the show.
People talk about the new generations not having an attention span. I fall between Matt and Sona. I tried to listen to the podcast, but much like when I tried to read, my mind would completely wander off, and I was constantly skipping back 5 to 10 minutes. I need the visual to keep me locked in as well, not to mention that without it, we would have never seen things like Jack McBrayer's face when Conan brayed like a donkey.
I paused the video when she groaned and started monologuing at my boyfriend about how lucky Conan and Sona are to have met each other. The sibling energy is so delightful and wholesome.

Adam is so MBA coded that when he's in the room with the rest of the goofballs he feels like a real human being character in a cartoon movie. The contrast is jarring lmao.
Really, the state of the podcast is still strong since they completely neglected to deal with the D(r)umb problem? It was on the comedians, the journalists were not free to tell the underlying truth. I have the feeling that even smart and even educated Americans do not fully understand what there is to come.

One thing you guys should also take into consideration of the podcast is: while we do love the big name guests we keep coming back for the rest of the crew, and sometimes even Conan! I think having more episodes dedicated to the crew and how everyone interacts can only add further to this chaotic gold of a podcast. Edit- For clarity, members of the crew that aren’t entirely prevalent most of the time. The Hoppening was a wonderful experience to sit and watch through, and I believe more “experimental episodes” should be encouraged! Of course I would love to see these 3 in a room with Schlansky…

Same here. I think the real comedy of the show is in the banter between Conan, Sona, and Gorley. For me if I listen to the entire show is pretty guest dependent. The fan interviews are fun too.

And also I'd like to talk about the most amazing thing and what actually makes the beauty of this entire Podcast, besides Sona and Matt who we love to death and Adam, Eduardo and Blay. What's amazing is that in the world where we live in, where so much bad stuff happens and every person has an opinion about anything and everything, there was NEVER a bad comment in any of the Team Coco sections. Nowhere, no negativity. Feels like people escape the real world shitshow to kind of cure themselfes with some Team Coco content. Therefore, Thank you and do what you did for the past 6 years. I stopped watching this channel completely after they decided to not post full videos. Many people dont like to consume short & cut versions and many dont care about audio podcasts. No one said they have to upload it right away, but what is the problem uploading it month, even 2, even 3 or 6 months later? But they dont care. In return, I wont watch, will never like their videos and will never promote or share with friends. btw, almost all top entertainment podcasts upload full videos.

I like that the podcast has big-name guests, but with all due respect, my favorite part will always be when Conan and the rest of the crew are just joking around about random stuff. I believe I'm not the only one. And yes, I prefer youtube because this podcast needs that visual medium to catch all those expressions and comedic gestures in order to get the maximum experience.

Yes, full episodes! It's actually quite funny though listening to them talk about video like it's some great risk, venturing into the unknown. Virtually all of the top comedy podcasts have been full-video for years. You guys are so behind the game!
It's refreshing to hear Adam explain that the pendulum on "brand safety" is starting to swing back in the other direction. Content creators trying to be as brand safe as possible has been completely poisoning the media that they're making, in the sense that they over censor themselves, which makes a ton of what you watch online feel like bland and sterile pablum. The over censorship has leaked into aspects of normal conversation too. I've heard people unironically use terms like "unalive" in conversation -- something meant to get around automatic censors when talking about suicide -- which is incredibly gross if you break it down. Social media companies auto flagging "brand unsafe" terms in order to keep advertisers happy, has bled into people using unserious and jokey terms to legitimately talk about serious issues. It's weird and gross, but it's good to hear that things might be starting to swing in the opposite direction.
I find the videos very necessary, audio only podcasts rarely hold my attention for very long. It literally only adds, it doesn't subtract anything. Also you guys have a very nice and clean set with good lighting and no distractions.

I discovered the podcast through UA-cam and personally my fave videos have always been the small bits with just the three of them, but recently I’ve started enjoying some celeb interviews as well

Here's an idea: release the audio version of the podcast on Monday morning (or whatever time it is released right now) then throughout the week, upload video clips on UA-cam. At the end of the week when the clips have whetted the appetite of would-be viewers, release the video version of the podcast on Saturday morning (or even Sunday morning depending on what the data says). All bases covered. If you're worried about cannibalisation, you could even extend the release of the full video podcast for the weekend after. Personally, I would keep it to a week -- natural start and end date and the UA-cam algorithm would work well with it. I think it's worth a shot.

Prior to 2020, I would listen to the podcast in my car, to and from work. Now that I work from home 4 days a week, I watch the clips on youtube. Having the full episode on youtube would be great for me.
There is a lot of physicality you can see in the clips/full video episodes that's missing from the audio only podcast. I just wanna know what I'm missing when Tom Hanks is telling Bley to shut up.
I watch and listen to the podcast. Usually i will listen at night before sleep, then I will watch the clips. I would absolutely watch a full poscast. It is great to see the laughter and the conversation. Seeing you all have a conversation gives a stronger connection to the viewer.
Clips lead me into the audio only if I really need to hear the rest of the interview. The video component keeps me in a podcast that is even just good. Audio only is usually something I only utilize if cooking, gaming, or on a road trip.
I'm a podcast producer and I teach podcasting at ASU, and I have been RESISTING video content, or stubbornly calling it vidcasts. Audio is my first love, but can't fight the tide! And, I do enjoy watching your clips and listening to the whole thing on my apps. Gotta learn from the masters after all! lol
I have to say that I don't like to just listen to podcasts. It does not have to be a high production quality, just seeing the faces and body language adds a lot to just audio. But seeing that you structure it to be a possibly an audio-only medium, I find myself putting podcasts on, especially longer episodes and then do something else while basically just listening, but watching when things get interesting/funny/whatever.
I love podcasts and generally have no problem only having audio. However, with this podcast I do listen to it a lot more on UA-cam than as a podcast due to it being easier for me to access on UA-cam than other ways. The visuals are a great bonus, particularly when there are so many interactions where I really want to see the look on someone's face, the reaction shots. Please do put up full episodes. We'll watch them.
Watching podcast room vs just listening to it is the difference between phone call and face-to-face conversation, for me at least. Always upload full video whenever possible, please.
This is great news. Each time I listen to the podcast I think "I know they have all this one video , why can't I see it too?" And I know editing takes time/money but I still want it.
Video is superior especially if the infrastructure is already in place. As a consumer, if you just want audio, you don't have to look. And part of the charm of these longform interviews is that everyone is normal. Don't need makeup, fancy clothes, etc. There's a market for realism over the packaged media we get elsewhere.
Honestly I often end up watching bits I already listened to on the full podcast so that's probably double the crowd thanks to the video upload, I'm sure I'm not the only one doing this
I have a subscription for SiriusXM, but I mainly tune in on UA-cam for Team Coco. I put the video on my extra monitors and lets me see the faces of who are talking. Please release more full episodes on UA-cam!
I only seek out video podcasts. Only a few times ever have I’ve sat and listened to an audio podcast. It’s the only way to do this, as the best of both, quasi late night show, but the depth of an intimate conversation.
Do a podcast on if there is anything that Sona wont cackle at. Maybe have her practice on interrupting a few more guests with her forced laugh where she powers it right into the mic to make sure she and her eye mole get a little more attention.
I must restate Adam and blay who ever controls qc on UA-cam just get rid of the ads for clips it just lessens the audience retention and people don’t care for ads on clips of a podcast myself included
Ideally all episodes full episodes please on video! As a fan, I want to see Conan and all of the hosts and the guests talking and their facial expressions and gestures... It's far superior to just audio.
Conan is right, though: they've slowly turned the podcast into his old late night show again. The opening banter is as funny as any monologue or comedy bit. Then we have an interview followed by some more comedy. They now tape it and show full episodes. At this point, all it really needs is Andy and the band and it's 1993 again. We've come full circle.
Have to disagree, these are absolutely podcast style casual unplanned convos, no opening monologue, no "bits", no live house band or guest performances, no stage, no studio audience, no commercials aside from a limited number of paid promos they make themselves, no network oversight... it's night and day.
I'm hard-of-hearing and lip read. I've only been able to enjoy video of you guys and I am hoping you will bring all full pods to video. I'll come work for ya and post these for ya (I live in LA). Soooo happy to see the results of your experiment!

I find the videos very necessary, audio only podcasts rarely hold my attention for very long. It literally only adds, it doesn't subtract anything. Also you guys have a very nice and clean set with good lighting and no distractions.

Here's an idea: release the audio version of the podcast on Monday morning (or whatever time it is released right now) then throughout the week, upload video clips on UA-cam. At the end of the week when the clips have whetted the appetite of would-be viewers, release the video version of the podcast on Saturday morning (or even Sunday morning depending on what the data says). All bases covered. If you're worried about cannibalisation, you could even extend the release of the full video podcast for the weekend after. Personally, I would keep it to a week -- natural start and end date and the UA-cam algorithm would work well with it. I think it's worth a shot.

Prior to 2020, I would listen to the podcast in my car, to and from work. Now that I work from home 4 days a week, I watch the clips on youtube. Having the full episode on youtube would be great for me.
There is a lot of physicality you can see in the clips/full video episodes that's missing from the audio only podcast. I just wanna know what I'm missing when Tom Hanks is telling Bley to shut up.

I really like that Conan hires qualified people who let them do their jobs. Adam is really good at his job.
I watch and listen to the podcast. Usually i will listen at night before sleep, then I will watch the clips. I would absolutely watch a full poscast. It is great to see the laughter and the conversation. Seeing you all have a conversation gives a stronger connection to the viewer.
Clips lead me into the audio only if I really need to hear the rest of the interview. The video component keeps me in a podcast that is even just good. Audio only is usually something I only utilize if cooking, gaming, or on a road trip.
I'm a podcast producer and I teach podcasting at ASU, and I have been RESISTING video content, or stubbornly calling it vidcasts. Audio is my first love, but can't fight the tide! And, I do enjoy watching your clips and listening to the whole thing on my apps. Gotta learn from the masters after all! lol

I have to say that I don't like to just listen to podcasts. It does not have to be a high production quality, just seeing the faces and body language adds a lot to just audio. But seeing that you structure it to be a possibly an audio-only medium, I find myself putting podcasts on, especially longer episodes and then do something else while basically just listening, but watching when things get interesting/funny/whatever.
I would love full videos of the fan episodes- those are my favorite - when he is talking to regular people! I need more fan episodes too!
I love podcasts and generally have no problem only having audio. However, with this podcast I do listen to it a lot more on UA-cam than as a podcast due to it being easier for me to access on UA-cam than other ways. The visuals are a great bonus, particularly when there are so many interactions where I really want to see the look on someone's face, the reaction shots. Please do put up full episodes. We'll watch them.

Watching podcast room vs just listening to it is the difference between phone call and face-to-face conversation, for me at least. Always upload full video whenever possible, please.

This is great news. Each time I listen to the podcast I think "I know they have all this one video , why can't I see it too?" And I know editing takes time/money but I still want it.
Video is superior especially if the infrastructure is already in place. As a consumer, if you just want audio, you don't have to look.
And part of the charm of these longform interviews is that everyone is normal. Don't need makeup, fancy clothes, etc. There's a market for realism over the packaged media we get elsewhere.

I have a subscription for SiriusXM, but I mainly tune in on UA-cam for Team Coco. I put the video on my extra monitors and lets me see the faces of who are talking. Please release more full episodes on UA-cam!

I only seek out video podcasts. Only a few times ever have I’ve sat and listened to an audio podcast. It’s the only way to do this, as the best of both, quasi late night show, but the depth of an intimate conversation.
I think you have a perfect mix of video and audio. You all are cool and fun to listen to and we are so used to visual media.
Do a podcast on if there is anything that Sona wont cackle at. Maybe have her practice on interrupting a few more guests with her forced laugh where she powers it right into the mic to make sure she and her eye mole get a little more attention.
I'll watch an occasional full episode, but I like getting shorter chunks. It's nice to have the option of both.
I must restate Adam and blay who ever controls qc on UA-cam just get rid of the ads for clips it just lessens the audience retention and people don’t care for ads on clips of a podcast myself included
Ideally all episodes full episodes please on video! As a fan, I want to see Conan and all of the hosts and the guests talking and their facial expressions and gestures... It's far superior to just audio.
Conan is right, though: they've slowly turned the podcast into his old late night show again. The opening banter is as funny as any monologue or comedy bit. Then we have an interview followed by some more comedy. They now tape it and show full episodes. At this point, all it really needs is Andy and the band and it's 1993 again. We've come full circle.

Have to disagree, these are absolutely podcast style casual unplanned convos, no opening monologue, no "bits", no live house band or guest performances, no stage, no studio audience, no commercials aside from a limited number of paid promos they make themselves, no network oversight... it's night and day.

I ONLY watch video podcasts! Just listening doesn't do much for me & I always feel like I'm missing out. It's just nice to actually see everyone interacting & having a good time & you miss all the little interactions without video.
Adam, I genuinely feel you should do the clips but also release every episode on video. And Conan, you don't need to think of it as a TV show. It's just on video is all... And we like it. There's always been a lot of physicality to the comedy of your 'veins' 😂
3:01 I'm pretty sure they did the full hour of Jordan Peele as well. Personally, I fully enjoy the complete episodes, in case I miss a 12-minute (or whatever) snippet
More full episodes please and ideally, don't wait months to post them. Ideally we'd want the full videos to be released alongside the audio or shortly after. Maybe you could have day and date releases of the full video for paying members of the channel with a public release a few days later?
