@SinisterSkip No, it doesn't limit you from becoming the "strongest version of yourself". In fact, NO belief is needed. God is simply a word that I use to describe the indescribable, I'm really not attached to it at all. If it feels better to replace the word 'God' with Nature, Universe, Allah, Tao, Elohim, Bhagwan, Satnam, Ahura Mazd or Shit Head really doesn't make a difference to me.
Elliot buddy, you're a hell of a smart and expressive dude! I'm 16 and LOVE this series of videos :D really opening up my mind and perceptions, as well as increasing sports science knowledge too - Thanks!
I've got a bit of noob question. If you train for strength do you only work out 3 days a week (with weights)? I've never seen a strength program that wasn't Monday Wednesday Friday only in its archetype. I'm really curious because I'd like to switch up my routine in a month and focus on strength gains for a month or two but only working out 3 days a week seems just... wrong. Enlighten me guru of strength.
@SinisterSkip And as said in other video's (also by some other people), I'm surprised a person of your intelligence, open mindedness, but rational, sober, logical, critical thinking, believes in god, but I respect that. To each his own.
Have you got a video on how to train to be a strongman or train towards that, if not could you do one with a training program example because all i hear is mostly the standard bodybuilding training at my gym and i want to gain strength more and not so much bothered about being a bodybuilder and also i would like to ask are there limits to each person depending on genetics that set limits to how far you can go in strength or can we go as far as we want theoretically?
@djh9595 I do the same thing as ownrook. Bring your own lunch; school food is... well, shit. In my school, our burgers have more "texturized vegetable protein" in them than actual beef. I prepare a lot of chicken, rice (personally I like white, but brown is better for you), and beans when I get home from school, and the next day I put it in a little tubbaware thing in my backpack. Then I just microwave it at our school's microwave and buy a water bottle from the lunch line.
E-train, have you ever heard of or read the book "Undoing Yourself" by Christopher S. Hyatt? If not I would HIGHLY recommend it for you I think you would really enjoy it
@Sh0tto That's is true, it's just that these morals and principles of life in my opinion don't have to come from some book, they come from logical, rational, open minded thinking. I've learned these morals from my parents -> family, friends etc. They haven't learned it from a book, but from experience and again, using your brain. You need them to become succesful in life, whether you believe in god, the cooky monster, or neither of both :)
@SinisterSkip I am an aethiest aswell, In my opinion when it comes to the spiritual side of you, since you are strong in your beleifs that there is no god, that is the same as strong belief in a god...
@SinisterSkip although you need to hold your self accountable for your actions and live a good life under your own set of morality. for many a God is a way to explain to themselves why the sky is blue who made this and what not. , Be strong in your beliefs, be strong in you mind and be strong in your body plain and simple
@onetao8 hey man im christian, look man there's a certain way of sharing the message and trust me it's not like how you just did, it takes time for one person to understand who god is you can't just go saying to people "you will suffer in hell forever", nah man just don't say anything if people don't believe in god then hey that's on them, god will have his way it might not be the way you want it to be, but let him have his way. Speak words of wisdom to people. :)
Elliot, you talk a lot about god in the "becoming the strongest version of yourself video's", just like this one. I'm an atheist, I don't believe in god. It's my opinion there's not enough sufficient proof for me to believe in that diety. I believe in science but also in love, relationships, good morals etc. Does this limit me from becoming the strongest version of myself? Obviously, I believe not, but my question is if you seriously believe the answer is yes, and why?
