I ran a basic regulator and it failed... blew a pex line. Rig is under warranty, and going to shop for repairs tomorrow! I will be picking up one of these units ASAP! Thanks for posting!
I set mine at 55 psi. My work is rated to 110 at the nozzle and pex is like 120 rated. The only thing to fail in six years with no regulator at above 80psi was a water heater failure. I Upgraded the very expensive coleman gas water heater to a 10 gallon apartment type. Today i could put a 30 gallon in with no problem.
Could be wrong but aren't you confusing water pressure with water flow? Those inexpensive water pressure regulators have a smaller aperture than the more expensive one you featured, which would allow for more flow...
youre hook up is goffy should have a starter hose then water filter than regulator that way water filter catches sediment not regulator which has screen type washer that can get clogged up with sediment/sand from well if you have one in sandy soiled area m
if you have a length of hose coming of it going into the sun, the lower pressure of the cheaper reducer will anticipate and accommodate for water expansion which could blow a hose sitting in the hot sun.
Are you sure you're supposed to hook the water filter to the regulator? I just bought one and it sounds like they say don't want you to hook it up directly ,bad instructions, sounds like they want the filter hanging off your RV directly which isn't going to work for me. Too much weight
55min-65 max is fine pex is tested at manufacture for 100psi pex is good stuff be more worried about leaks with the non pex hoses using pex crimps to hold on to plastic fittings those will leak eventually replace with radiator clamps
Hey Bill! I'm looking to have a very low water pressure for a machine I'm building. Can this regulator attach to a faucet and then lower the pressure coming out of a normal faucet? I need the water coming out of a regular faucet to go from a high psi to around 1 psi. Thanks for the video!
You would be able to attach this ( or any other ) pressure regulator to a kitchen faucet for example by going to Home Depot or Lowe's and from the plumbing department getting an adapter designed to allow for garden thread hoses. They are typically used for attaching a garden hose to the faucet, but would work just as well for this application. To adjust to such a low psi, you would need a combination of the pressure regulator and the faucet to lower the actual water flow. Thanks for watching!
these units only go down to 10 psi. You need to buy a good household regulator for more than a hundred bucks, but check the specs first that it can even go down that far. You have to put on the correct fittings. Also, the household units are accurate at all flow rates, These little ones are only accurate within 6 psi or so. For best performance and security and insurancem RVs should buy the household one. Why cheap out, an RV is a tens of thousands of dollars investment. We don't cheap out on our house, why on an RV?
No, and since I use my phone to create videos, that's actually not even possible. Interesting that you noticed though. The gauge is actually pointing downwards and every time I tried to film it from the other side so that the numbers would read correctly, my flipping phone would rotate the image 180 degrees. Luckily I have upgraded my phone since then and no longer have that issue. Thanks for watching! So much better water flow. Pressure in the shower is so much better.

Mine is at a trickle now, fine on pump. I can’t wait to get one of these.

Seems like you would want to put the blue filter before the water regulator

you are correct. Should to use a 6 inch or 1 foot hose first to relive strain .

Just picked up our first trailer. 5th wheel, will be getting one of these, I also heard a filter is a must. Any recommendations ?
A regular inline filter from Camco works well. They're not expensive so changing them every 6 months or so won't break the bank.

Pex is what they use in houses now because it is so tough

No, just changes the pressure of the water coming into the trailer. Saves water actually.
