Miguel Sapochnik being one of the key architects of this project made a huge difference. His work on the main series was already critically acclaimed, but I didn’t think he’d manage to do so well in the prequel too, with little guidance from the source material (F&B is made of unreliable historical accounts, with barely any dialogues or lush descriptions to rely on, unlike ASOIAF). The ending's atmosphere combined with the soundtrack and Emma's acting was *chef's kiss* I can't explain the feeling had during that scene but I'd probably never experience it again.
Now I wait for s2 and brush up on my Valyrian skills more
The Volume is such an amazing new piece of tech. The Mandalorian, The Batman and now House of the Dragons. As directors get more comfortable with it, I can't wait to see what more amazing locations and scenes we'll get in the future.
It’s great! You get Aegon the Conqueror vibes from Aemond riding on Vhagar.
Elliot and Ewan really made the Strom's End scene an epic one 👍🙌
Amazing actors.
The entire Storm's End sequence, both inside the castle and out in the storm, was incredible! Hat's off to the crew for pulling it off so beautifully.

Elliot Grihault's Mom: "oh, it made me cry "
Me: 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The care and detail they take to make these sequences are just absolutely stunning. I can understand why Martin said it will be two years before we see the second series. I can’t wait to see how the team make it and what technology they use.
Hats off!! Everybody did a spectacular job 🎉
I always found it a little disappointing that we never got to see Storm's End in Game Of Thrones, so I was very very happy to see it here! It looks so freaking awesome!
House of the Dragon did an amazing job on Storm's-End, I loved it 💯🔥
I'm so sad because I have to wait for season 2 for 2 years 😅I Loved every second of this Show
What a series! I was gripped from the start and cant wait for season 2.
The music once again never disappoints. The synth during the dragon chase was unexpected but extremely fitting
Arrax was so pretty. It's unique that he had like fins instead of horns. His colors were so cool! Gonna miss him :(
No lie, I love the incredibly advanced technology used @3:12 to visualize the dragon fight. XD
HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE PART OF THE CREW AND PRODUCTION YOU DID A WONDERFUL JOB THROUGHOUT THE SEASON, YOU ARE THE TRUE HEROES CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON TWO
I see them sweeping the Emmys again as did GoT production/technical/ effects/ costume crew .
@@shockwave1126 I have some urge to bet you that RoP will get all the awards xD but It's 50/50 depending on how much Jeff is willing to pay.
@@nemnymeria7873 maybe theyll give the best Arts programming award to RoP just this yr until HotD releases S-2, but best Drama Series is definitely HotD. if not booo!
"Its the first dragon fight put to film in Game of Thrones" i guess Ryan kind of forgot about the dance above Winterfell in The Long Night, or maybe he didnt see it because his tv was not high resolution.
Seeing all the effort behind the scenes makes everything more magnificent. It is easy to complain about small mistakes when you do not know/understand the tremendous scale behind the whole production.
This was so well done! I'd like to thank everyone involved in this series for creating such a beautifull and immersive story. Every element of it, from writing to acting, visuals and music was absolutely amazing! The only thing I don't like is that it is over for now. Thank you and I am so excited for the next season!
Emma D'Arcy really looks like a grown version of Milly Alcock in the thumb nail. I love the care that is going into all of the details from architecture to costumes and the music! Stunning.
His incredible attention to details is one of the reasons why HOTD is off to such a good start. Spectacular directing from a true visionary. Even the actors revere him. He’ll be sorely missed in upcoming seasons. It’s a huge loss for the show.
I wonder why he left. I hope it won't affect the show.
Wtf he left?! Why??
phenomenal work from everyone involved
This was so BRILLIANTLY done. Absolutely superb segment of this episode.
Greg Yaitanes is a keeper. He knows what he’s doing and also doesn’t preach to fans 👍. Strictly about the work, I admire that
"First dragon fight put to film in Game of Thrones"?
This guy forgot season 8 and I love him 🤣
when he says "we" he is referring to House of the Dragon, not the entire HBO/GOT canon.
Whoever cast Ewan Mitchell need a hefty raise.
Best series ever.
Season 01 Finale was the proof that House of the dragon is worthy of GoT theme song
Dance of the dragons begins 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Storm’s End sequence was so immersive that you can forget that it was created with extensive CGI. I’m still heartbroken over Luke’s death. I became quite attached to him through the latter half of the season and I look forward to seeing where young Elliot Grihault’s career goes from here.
That shot at 2:53...
I just realised that they probably have on of these for every dragon in the show. And I wanna see all of them. Pretty please 🥺
huge props to the team working on this! the finale was excellent, just like the rest of the show!
Ep. 10 left me with open wound. Definitely traumatized but still amazed by the madness of all of these dragons. It sort of brought us to a new dimension of connection between the dragon and its riders. Very cool
Ewan is so shy😄
Dear Rings of Power showrunners,
This is how you do great TV/streaming, not whatever crap piss you did in RoP. I'm still at awe & emotional at the last 10min dragon fight scene in HotD, showed how much attention to details they put in making a good story.
Sincerely,
your average jane.
I hope we get to see more of Baela and Rhaena dragonriding as well
Shoutout to the Hungarian Horntail from Goblet of Fire for assisting with the creative proccess for this scene.
That whole sequence looked absolutely stunning on television! Well done!
The amount of factors, that had to come together for this series to be produced as good as it is...
This is a minor miracle.
That was an AMAZING job!
I applaud the work and time put into this amazing and super thankful I loved the first season probably the best first season of any new show ever
Condal forgot that there was already a dragon vs dragon fight in Season 8, and I don't blame him at all 😂
Omg, the Long Night right ?😂
@@mavitilo to be honest, i forgot that to 🤦🏼♀️.
We couldn't see shit of that fight
I always appreciate how much work and time is put to create something, that's why I'm not on the internet complaining and saying it was trash or something, my time or money wasn't used, so why complain, that's at least how I view certain things.
Thanks for the cast and actors for their efforts to make this series enjoyable ❤.Can’t wait to watch season 2 although we have to wait 1-1,5 year.
So proud of Elliot!
Such an incredible show. I’ve loved every single second of it..
Bravo!!!
That finale was just amazing!
Finale was 🔥
This scene was so suspenseful and then so heartbreaking. Such a powerful ending. Applause, applause!
Arrax was already so strong. He would’ve been such a beast.
