Everything is a spin with this guy. 'Why did you shit on the floor? I facilitated an arena where various insects can benefit from my work therefore contributing to the ecosystem in a strong and positive way'
Good stuff! Could of used “robust” though
And ‘World beating’ 😂
😂😂
🤣😅🤣
I didn’t shit on the floor it was the fella with crutches, he did it not me.
I am 73 never voted Tory. Never will. But I hope I never see a Tory government again in my lifetime
I genuinely wish you 30 more years happy healthy and Tory free ✌🏻
I'm in my 30's and I hope the same for me. My whole voting life has known nothing else
Same here, worst government of my 73 years for sure.
It was either this or Corbyn and Abbot. Can you imagine?
They want removing tomorrow as a no confidence caper
Evidently Gove watched Mr Bean once as a young man and decided to make it his entire personality.
well said bro, I think out of all of the comments that I've read this one hits the nail smack on the head and it made me laugh as well, never lose your sense of humour when dealing with these people. check out 31:44..(wriggle wriggle).
"I think the people of this country have had enough of experts" Michael Gove.
"I've had enough of Michael Gove".
It's the arrogance and complacent smugness here which makes my blood boil. We had the worst possible government led by the worst possible PM at the worst possible time. Can't wait to see the back of this government
Plus Gove thinks he was the adult in the room, astonishing.
What shocks me most is that people think if labour had been in it would have been any different these twats scratch each other's backs we need a trump or Argentina or Netherlands PM to be voted in we need a massive change in this country before its to late
And then Boris fired him. For giggles
@@DrWrapperband
It's breathtaking to say lots of governments struggling. We had the benefit of seeing it in China and Italy and did nothing to prepare.
Friendly reminder, during that time Labors stance was: MORE lockdowns MORE money printing MORE abuse of the public lol
So if you think red if any different to blue you really need to open your eyes my friend.
The word ‘prick’ was created to describe this jamook
Don't you mean 'prick' rather than jamook? 😜 Personally, I think that grossly under sells this particular venomous, disingenuous barstool. A den of 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍

As an American physician with an interest in how governments reacted to the pandemic, I’ve been watching many of these hearings. I’ve been impressed by the depth of the inquiry, the preparation of the questioners, and the frankness of many of the people who have been in the ‘hot seat’. Michael Gove comes across as arrogant, defensive, and less than frank in much of his testimony. He seems to feel his mission is primarily to defend Boris Johnson and cast his chaotic and unreliable leadership style as somehow heroic and above the ken of mere mortals. If this is any indication of his general character I would hope he wouldn’t hold a position of responsibility going forward.
unfortunately he is and likely will continue :(
Sadly, that cannot be guaranteed. Our democracy is in need of reform, but also our electorate need to face the reality of electing people for government, and perhaps take it more seriously.
he was in charge of our education system, but its been a bit of musical chairs in the conservative government, we've lost track of who does what, not that it makes a difference!
@@BigHenForsadly our electorate doesn’t really have a choice. The main parties select their candidates, usually public school types, and that is 'our' choice. We are basically left to pick between a dog turd, a cow pat and something to help our roses grow. These people don’t arrive in Westminster by accident. It is no coincidence that they all have the same accent. You’re right reform is needed, reform of a revolutionary kind. The democracy which we are constantly told we are privileged to have is merely an illusion.
Giant douche vs turd sandwich! 😂
Michael Gove: A much better illustration of the word 'weasely' than an actual weasel.
Because actual weasels are really cool and have earned their ecological niche.
I quite agree and I always thought, if he looks like a toad and behaves like a toad, he is a toad he is toad. Toads and weasels shouldn't suffer such such comparison with such a disgusting bottom feeder like Gove.
Yes, it is unfortunate that weasel’s have been unfairly chosen to describe Gove. They haven’t earned that gnarly disreputable reputation. Weasel’s themselves in their enquiries refer to a ‘Gove’ as something far far lower.
Never has anyone looked so much as if they are lying, yet thinking they are so clever.
What makes Gove dangerous is that, unlike many of the clowns, he actually IS clever. Of course it's used for his own Machiavellian purposes.
That's Gove. As slippery as they come.
That's the coke
He Gove is so slippery I cannot help but see a snake when I listen to him..he gives me the creeps
He thinks Gods on his side.
As I have always understood, the first duty of government is to protect the citizens it governs. The Tories failed on every level.
It has become abundantly clear that this government's main priority was to protect their own skin and the bank balance of their companies and their rich benefactors.
Every level....which levels are you talking about
I hear they had some cracking karaoke sessions and a good time was had by all. So not exactly a fail.. They also managed to keep everyone else locked up while they had a fine time so I guess that was successful.. Its all about perspective.. They did get punished ... 50 pounds each and that must have hurt.
@@rw2578 "that must have hurt" not as much as the wine bill for the parties they had.
Frankly it's ridiculous to expect a Tory government to care about the general populace.
“Humm humm” “hum humm” 😂 this guy…😤
look at Gove's face he is not used to people telling him to shut up, we need more of this .
😁
I fully agree with you when you say Mr Gove is so arrogant, as he is not used to any one telling him to shut up. As I know that he might not be the only one who felt that way, all senior MPS who have been in that hot seat thinking the same thing, as it makes them feel embarrassed especially to people who are greatly respecting them, and believe that they are untouchable, including their families, e.g their wifes, children, etc as it is embarrassing, because the person who is asking them is unapologetically throwing those questions to them. Especially when the truth is told to them through the text messages they used to communicate with as those messages make it difficult for them to deny some of the questions. As some of the people could not hold themselves from laughing as the lawyer is doing that a little bit, as well. Maybe only that, will teach some of the people not to except higher position jobs, especially when their leader is some one who is a liar, does not take matters which his community is considering it serious.
A pratt.
@@1gerard47big time, no wonder we are such a mess.
Gove is so disingenuous it’s breathtaking.Let’s hope that the role he took in the awarding of PPE contracts, to his mates, is investigated thoroughly and he, along with others, are brought to justice for these dodgy dealings.
I agree and it's mad in the face of his own words, he gets more disingenuous. He's a vile, slime ball of a man who shouldn't be allowed near government.
Don’t hold your breath , these clowns will never face justice , as the judiciary is not any better
Not just the dodgy dealings but the whole Covid charade along with the media the civil service and the NHS.
Backpocketing vast amounts of public money indirectly, which should have gone into fixing the health service through years of austerity and cuts. 3rd division govermnent. A world of promises constructed by liars, 7 nightingales decomissioned at vaste waste of money, track and trace scheme vast waste of money, Psychological warfare on it's own citizens and the impacted mental health of children the whole lot was a bumbling farce. This government is as corrupt as russia and couldn't contain a fart. Where has all the pointless wastage of money gone, and they got away with not even a slap on the wrist...and now you're paying for it all with hyper inflation to replenish the government coffers.
This is just the same as to what he is doing right now re the megaprison saga next to Wymott and Garth.
A truly ghastly human being.
A totally disingenuous viper!
Arrogance very badly
Who ever it was that put covid positive patients in nursing homes should be arrested and in jail absolutely disgraceful.
Where else could they have gone? The hospital beds were filling up displacing every other emergency need.

Never forget, these people will lie straight to your face without any problem at all!
This is the most shameful display of arrogance and contempt. for the inquiry and the victims he failed. I sincerely hope he loses his seat at the next election.
I hope that ALL the Tory MP's lose their seats, but frankly, and let's be honest, Labour are only marginally better, if any better at all really. If Labour would stop their crazy ULEZ non-sense, and accept Brexit is a disaster that must be addressed ASAP, then I'd vote for them, but ATM, I'm all out at sea. Lib Dems I guess... I entirely agree with you. The constant irritating 'hmns' as if to suggest that the lawyer was totally right in agreeing with him! Some mothers do 'ave 'em.

Most certainly,5yrs is too long and an Unelected Upper House. The UK is the only country in the World at this late date to not have an Elected Upper House. To get this, like Australia, the UK needs a Preferential Voting System at the very least.Otherwise the Voting System is a Tory Gerrymander and Biased.
I am always in awe of listening to a masterful KC, they listen, they understand and they know what to say and lead. Wonderful people. Just showing us how incompetent our “ leaders” are.
I agree, although I thought this KC showed his limit when he kept trying to trip up Professor Chris Whitty. Witty had to keep reminding him of the meaning of words in a precise, technical context. Even the Chair had to stop him a few times because he kept repeating the same question that had already been answered!
He's so polite, so pro-fesh and so shady all at once! Brilliant!
But they won't ask the questions that need to be asked so it will be another waste of money .
And they makes fortunes which is their main priority
Exactly. You can understand why they earn they big bucks. I watch it for their approach ( I don't live in the UK, so don't care about the inquiry ). The constant need for water for his dry mouth indicates anxiety levels are rising he doesn't feel exposed as much when moving objects on his table. Lawyers are well aware of this behaviour. Gove is lying he's so narcissistic that he's trying to hide behind his word salad
Also obviously been briefed in training for this to hide his hands under the table which is very unusual for a politician
Less than 8 mins in and I already can call HOUSE! on my 'Full Of Shit' bingo card

This is what happens when someone trains for years in the art of making waffly answers to questions they wish they were asked, rather than those put to them.
He did answer the questions fully. He's probably given the best account of what happened.
My sympathy to the COVID-19 victims and thier famlies.
Certainly not this government.
Hugo Keith KC, the lead counsel (or griller-in-chief...) is mightily impressive and his grasp of the facts and timelines is imperious. The report when (if, maybe) it comes out will make sober reading and will emphasise just how forehead-slapping awful this Tory govt. has been in _all_ aspects of planning and implementation. From BRexit (and the subsequent pathetic trade deals) to HS2 to immigration to Covid - it's all been a shambolic litany of non-existent forethought, of absent planning and eye-watering waste. And yet, the _English_ electorate will vote the Tories back into power in the not too distant future. I despair.
I agree. Hugo Keith is mightily impressive.
As far as I can tell all these mogadon lawyers are doing is regurgitating what they read in the Guardian. As for searchiing questions, they couldn't find a current in a fruit bun.
As far as I can tell these lawyers are confirming what many people suspected in 2020 onwards, that this Tory “Government” are the very worst in their lifetimes. That is a good thing because readers of the Mail/Express/Times/Spectator/Sunday Telegraph/Sunday Times/Telegraph/Sun and Mail on Sunday never read the Guardian!@@jamescaley9942
And meanwhile Rishi Sunak is saying "long term decisions" like his party has ever looked even a month beyond the next election in their whole time in power. 16 housing ministers in 13 years!
Hugo Keith couldn't be more benign to these witnesses if he was actually holding their hands and personally replenishing their glass of water. Establishing that mistakes were made, while studiously and completely ignoring the real source of the catastrophe, is how cover-ups are carried off. In that sense, i.e. betraying the public trust by concealing the truth, his performance is masterful. He is a faithful servant of very dark masters indeed.
Michael "err ehm" Gove takes time to think up his b.s. and serial obfuscation. He loves to hear the sound of his own voice while throwing others under the bus. A snake in the long grass. A classic example of our unfit governance.
Snakes at least keep the population of vermin under control. I think the description that describes Gove and his colleagues would be dysentery amoeba.

@@zazhou Bearing in mind that the Tories had a minority of votes (43.6%) to gain an 80 seat majority, we must allow for our distorted undemocratic system. It further depends on the constituency - whether the seat is safe in Toryland. We then get cabinet ministers whose skill set ends at obfuscation and lies. They end up promoted beyond their competence by default. In short, our country is FUBAR.
Gove sounds like he’s re enacting an episode of “Yes Minsters”
After watching this Gove performance my wife’s only comment was “He’s a slimy shit, isn’t he?”
Well many times throughout the interview he tried to deflect any blame on himself (and indeed others) by means of obfuscation. Furthermore, his answers were not commensurate with the seriousness of the incompetence shown by the government; of which he was a senior official.
Shame I can only give one thumbs up to your wife's astute observation of the slimy 💩 performance...
My god. Those first few words out of Gove’s mouth is extremely rich coming from him.
Gove in his 'little worm' mode.
I imagine he doesn't sleep; he enters his bedroom cupboard to power down/go on standby
It’s extraordinary how much Michael Gove uses his hands to compliment what he’s saying. I’m sure it’s not the case but it gives the impression that he believes his answers to be so complicated, that the interrogator needs a visual aid.
He's sitting himself. He moved the glass on the table because he's nervous because he's a blatant liar.
He tries to justify by talking about irrelevant things that he doesn't need to lie about. He tries to come across as honest but he failed miserably
I've heard things from people who have worked with Michael Gove. It all makes sense now.
I've watched all of these so far, and Gove really makes me squirm like no other. It's interesting to see the politician training in full display in these enquiries. Whitty and Vallance's responses seemed the least "politician", the way Gove answers questions really makes me squirm
This video should have the caption, CATION SNAKE OIL SALESMAN AT WORK.✌️😎✌️
100% feel the same. He's deliberately emphasising agreement and positive responses, so as to evade any negative tone. Because he knows the media & casual observers won't understand the content of what he's being asked & is saying, just the tone.
Also the pointing with a clenched thumb thing makes him look like a crippled alien.
Gove really is the wormed that turned. Slippery and despicable, never trusted him nor Teflon Dom.

Toughest chess match so far. I wonder if Gove has ever uttered an unscripted word in his life. Slippery. The definition of a greased pig. He's the Kingmaker in the party and you can see the contempt when he's challenged.
Whenever Gove is interviewed whether that be on tv or on the clips he always tries to position himself as someone who has a joke up his sleeve and over compliments the interview to throw them off guard and to swerve the topic being discussed
The bloke makes my skin crawl
What an odd little man he is! I often wonder whether he is battling constant flashbacks from a previous incarnation as Heinrich Himmler.
This is quite a technical achievement - in that, at some points, it's almost possible to forget that there are three experienced puppeteers from the Henson workshop just out of sight below the desk, working to make Gove's movements and speech look natural.
Hahaha!! Love it
I love how Gove has gone into this thinking he's the smartest man in the room. But, from his point of view, I'd be deeply concerned when a leading counsel allows me to go on a tangent and stands there smirking whist I do so. A barrister's favourite witness are those that don't require any prompting via questions.
Yeah, that little grin was a shark watching a minnow.
His half-fisted gestures are so theatrical. Like other politicians.
They've been coached.....
Hanging themselves, or being hung by previous evidence and testimony from others. Gove is a prime example, pretending complete innocence by singing like an exotic well voiced bird.
The problem with Gove, Handjob, Bozo, Cummings and all of these fuckpigs is their Nuclear Grade egos and overconfidence. They "just bat away" the problems!
The judge would allow him answers.

Great cross examining, far outclassing govt ministers.
The impression that I get is that "the economy" was more important to the government than containing the exponential spread of the virus, saving lives and lessening the burden on the NHS. It's all about money, not about the protecting people they serve.
“What did you do?” “We tried to find out what China was doing.” The freaking hypocrisy
I lost (through death) no friend or family member through the pandemic. However,my husband had a nervous breakdown ( isolated and working from home with no support from his superiors) this has now evolved into a stroke and he will probably never recover. My father, alone and isolated from his family and friends has lost his mobility and sociability. My grandchildren have suffered from lack of schooling (their parents were having to try to work from home ( genuinely) whilst trying to school, amuse and feed two 6 year old twins. I was considered essential services ( cleaning toilets) and worked throughout the pandemic. Thanks Tories you totally fucked up my family and our lives! 25:23 25:33
Your story is like so many others. It's not just those who suffered the most with the deaths of family members. That's just the tip of the obvious iceberg! It's so much wider than that with untold damage to families like yours as well. Long Covid sufferers, family businesses ruined, destitution for many families because people can't work any longer due to long term health outcomes. The human cost is truly staggering in scale. These people should pay for what they have done - all of it!

All our MPs seem to have been given lessons in hand movements from Marcel Marceau. 😂
The wrong questions are being asked, Gove should have been asked how a virus travelled 5,000 miles from China to England(so they say) and yet when it arrived here refused to cross the borders into Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, because if you check the graphs for all cause mortality deaths it only spiked in England, in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland the deaths rates were completely normal, so it seems the virus was aware of borders which by the way is epidemiologically impossible, so those excess deaths which occured in England were caused by the hospital procedures that were carried out on them and not covid.
They were clearly only ever concerned about the cost, not to the economy, but only to their own pockets.
Why ain't the police getting involved and getting charges against Boris Johnson , matt Hancock, rishi sunak and Co. These people should be in the crown court dock .
It will never ever happen...😮
SCOTLAND wants them after you have finished!!
Aside from the rather obvious fact that the police are entirely in the pockets of the politician's, who's careers depend on these same politicians, they don't want to muddy the water with actual 'accountability'.
But yes, these people should face criminal charges of mass corporate manslaughter at least if not crimes against humanity for the many thousands of dead at their hands. You can't wash that stain off Gove!

@@ldandcoIt’s actually really bad in most Western countries. Not in any way promoting any other ideologies but the countries i do know about a bit - UK, Aus, USA, SA, NZ all have very serious challenges ahead.
@@smylsie for sure... I meant to say, Australia looks to me to be the worst as I live there.
It's misconduct in public office, on steroids. While on steroids, it leads one to suspect.
He is isn't he.
He's getting through that carafe of water quick. Dry mouth Mr Gove?
Yea, I noticed that as well. The lies are making him thirsty
How many times does he go mmmmmmm? Like he is talking with his mouth full of tea
More like mouth full of balls and dik
its quite shocking there are no criminal charges ......all should be banned from holding office again
These enquiries never result in liability, if anything they are buried. It's to appease people, make them think there's justice and accountability, and basically to tire everyone out until they get bored/give up.
Maybe the ICC will see things different.
The government has really called things more difficult for its citizens, and we can't sit back and bear all the consequences of the bad governance. It's obvious we are headed for hyperinflation,it is always the poor who takes the hit.
That is a lot of cash, how is that possible, please I will appreciate your assistance on that because I am still a newbie on investment.

Do these terrible excuse for human beings realise that people who lost loved ones are listening to their choice of words and how offensive some of their rhetoric is!
This man could get Adam and Eve to eat another apple and walk away from the fall out
Very accomplished at passing the book
If emergency workers were to have made mistakes that cost so many lives like these politicians have they would be facing criminal charges.
Like Nuremburg ?? It was not us!! Then who was it! ???
They should be charged with mass corporate manslaughter charges at the least, if not crimes against humanity charges.
What mistakes ??????????
Please just 1
Not to mention the likes of electricians, gas fitters, vehicle mechanics; drivers.

I think it’s getting to the point where we’re all so frustrated watching these knowing nothing will be done and none of these cretinous people will ever face any justice for their actions. I think the public needs to take things into their own hands and go on a hunt!
No, I really don't think we want to go down that route. These things rarely go the way you hope.
I agree. The government needs to see and remember that the people have the power. It doesn't need to be violent. The country needs to march en mass to Parliament and not move until the publics demands are upheld. I.e, no more boats! That's just 1 example.
It should be a criminal court hearing not an inquiry.
Boats boats.....for heaven's sake don't go along with Tory scapegoating. Boats are not the problem 🥴
100% agree. Absolutely shockingly arrogant and ignorant from little Gove. Wonder if he’s mood altered.
He's covering up his failings and did hinder the devolved governments
This needs to go further to court
He endangered lives willfully
Oh god Mr Gove what a person we had at the Center of government. Waffle waffle waffle.
We had Piffle as well !!
