This comic is deeper than you think. It may seem like a joke, but it does have meaning. Godzilla is sent to hell and is tormented by all the things he went through in his life. Like nuclear plant with the mutated monster inside(the very thing he was created from), or the wall of humans which represents all the humans he has killed, and Space Godzilla, his most dangerous foe. These are ALL demons that live inside Godzilla. Hell makes you face your deepest darkest trauma. But it seems Godzilla fears nothing, not even himself.
It looks like they are referencing a bit of Dante's inferno and 7 or so levels of hell. Not all of them mind you, and not the really interesting version of inferno and what man will experience in hell when judgement day comes. Felt too fan fic.
In this comic it seems that king ghidorah killed godzilla, sending him to hell as it was stated before there he conquers himself and reaches a level of hell that is his own version of heaven *the ocean* godzilla never killed, defeated or even won against satan and god because even the earth he destroyed was not real.
That's the thing, though... Godzilla very clearly DOES have fears and trauma behind him due to how he ends up handling these scenarios. He's being put into situations that force him to confront a reality of his existence; People prop him up as a force of nature, as if he's some amoral, feral beast that can't be blamed for the destruction he causes... but he's demonstrated active, conscious thought in doing so, meaning that he CHOOSES to disregard people's lives for the sake of his own anger and spite. He seems to use that image in his mind as a way of shield himself from the doubt caused by thinking about it for any period of time. The final story of the book is essentially him accepting the weight of his own sins by allowing those whose lives he uproots with his rampages to have their pound of flesh. And in the end, after they acclimate to him after that show of vulnerability, they become his strength. This entire comic is challenging the notion that he's a god beyond good and evil, not just to the reader, but to Godzilla himself. It can easily act as a stopgap between the original films and the Showa era where he becomes more visibly heroic by showing how he got that way; He had a near-death experience as a result of a particularly petty and desperate action he took, realized that his own impulsive rage was getting him killed, and course-corrected. Or, assuming Godzilla DID die, he finally passed the one test that had been truly infront of him; He proved that he learned a lesson about using his strength wisely, and was allowed a second chance in a new life, with enough knowledge of his lesson to avoid his previous shortcomings.

The demon Godzilla is based on Orga's wouldbe final form (from Godzilla 2000/Millenium) & unique to this comic. Ghidorah does indeed fight Godzilla in hell in one of the issues (probably #4). He teams up with Destroyah to fight Godzilla for all eternity until Godzilla figures out it is a trap & uses their energy against them to break free. There is ANOTHER series with Godzilla traveling thru time & taking out ALL of the Greek Gods. Enjoy.
This was so badass! It’s interesting how many references to Dante’s Divine Comedy were included in this issue. The “Abaddon all hope” sign at the entrance, the circle of lust (the human cloud), the city of Dis, the circle of Cocytus, Stan had three heads so I guess King Ghidorah and the space Godzilla both count as Satan, and God as the Mountain of Purgatory. They need to keep this going because it’s a really good idea.

And no that is not Varan, all because you saw spikes doesn't make it that one character. lol Look at the face and the way his crown of spikes are they curve aka ANGRUIRUS. And nor does Varan have 2 canines coming from his top jaw. You tried
@@velvetblue2285 Yeah I considered that but Biolante did attempt also to 'swallow' Godzilla. I think the artist had an amalgamation of the two in mind.
I would love to see this filmed whether it's an animated or live action movie...

Jesus wants a Hug!
More like "Alright you two, I want a nice clean fight. No hits below the belt. Now let's get it on!"

Enjoy.
Is that second series the same one he fights the spanish armada?
@@blackmage665 I believe so.
Yeah this story could have a great continuation
There’s an ocean of Godzilla comics waiting to be explored. Happy hunting, Rob!
One thing I noticed was that every level of hell has its own artstyle.
Godzilla in hell beats Goku. Yes I said it.
Raises hand Yup had to watch this after that Bonkers title...... Always been a monster/creature feature fan be it the older Godzilla, or the Gamera, or Them, or the 50's and 60's creature features.
Guess Rob doesn't really know much Godzilla lore?
Indeed. A very cringe attempt to ride the wave of the Monarch TV show for views.
I'm very happy to have all the issues of this story. So worth it, and the thing reference in issue #1 I loved it including the finisher from Godzilla 2000. Also it felt like a nod to the old past US title "Godzilla Vs The Thing" for "Godzilla Vs Mothra (1963)" when the poster had like a huge question mark in the center.
I’ve never heard someone describe Godzilla in that way … and I’ll never see him the same again 😂😂😂
Tenticle monster: "Who are YOU?!" Godzilla: "Godzilla"
Testicle monster:"Good day to you sir 🏃 "
Godzilla: 😏😌
Guy doesn't know who Anguirus is... just calls him that thing
Godzilla is just Doomguy at this point.

"That won't stop me! I can't read."
This is the most badass thing I’ve ever seen
Writers were like, "what if One Punch Man, but Godzilla?"
Love it you made this video. Read this comic years back.
*reads title*
Rob is gonna yell this entire video like an excited elementary school kid. I understand why. I would be just as excited. I just need to adjust my volume.
my two favorite things godzilla and robs voice can’t beat that
Ghidorah was like "Nope. Don't want this smoke. Ops not getting me in the afterlife."
Love that youre doing more Godzilla comics!
Man man you are soo good in your narration I don't really like Godzilla that much before but now I kind of do so make sure you keep the vibe on and keep us going peace
Good morning bro I'm always here for the madness 🦖
Hell yeah, was waiting for this. This is Godzilla just showing off, knowing he can't harm anything else but the enemy in front of him.
YES!!!! I was hoping you would do more Godzilla comics!!!
Godzilla trippin balls?
WE NEED COCAINE GODZILLA, MAN!
So those other two monsters that have demonic forms where Anguirus and varan still a dope video love to see more Godzilla rob keep it up ,keep killing it
Sorry Rob, The best Kamehameha that Goku has ever done is when he fired it point blank in the face of Kefla
loving this Big G coverage
RobCorp 4 Life
OK, you've covered some CRAZY SHIT, Rob, but THIS? THIS might be the peak of batshit lol
"Godzilla's on Acid!" Needs to be a sound bite
Godzilla logic: find god. climb god, find the guardian of heaven. *climb*
Awesome Rob. #1
Bro was on a mission to get back to Mothra 💀
Moral of the Story... Don't try to befriend Godzilla LOL 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
"Screams like a girl?" Never heard that one before.
