COMPONENTS - As I mention at the end I still wish the tiles were a bit brighter and the doors a bit easier to see. The miniatures are passable but nothing amazing. I was bought this game as a Halloween present 😁 Already painted it up and played through 6 scenarios solo as Rebecca. Haven't had the luck you did with finding survivors yet - just Rebecca and Brad still.
There are a whole bunch of ways to lower it. Reaching certain points of the campaign, completing certain side missions, the ability on that one STARS member I rescued. But yes, the game could certainly snowball. For better or worse I think that's within the IP and mood of Resident Evil. If you are letting tons of crimson head super zombies spawn, taking too long, not managing your resources well, getting your butt kicked... you might not win that go around, right? :)
It's like it's following the videogame franchise; the 2002 Remake specifically being the best of the FCA style games! I have all three of these (er..), and I've actually held off on playing RE3 because I want to play the trilogy in order. EDIT: My personal favorite RE game ever is the original RE3, heh. Not saying its the best, just its my favorite.
@@OneStopCoopShop I enjoyed the RE3 Remake as well, but still prefer the original quite a bit. My very unpopular opinion is I did not enjoy the original RE4 or the Remake of RE4 that much; I found them to be too long for a horror game personally .😅
The best thing you can buy for this game is the 3 d terrain pack ! Replace doors , corpses , stairs . It was also disappointing to have dark tiles again . Not as bad as the horrible re2 . This company just can’t seem to get it right . When looking at their other ks this one always seems the get the cheap treatment/producton
Didn’t even know a 3-d pack existed. Though for my tastes I’d rather play with the cardboard. More space on the shelves and more setup time is a no for me 😅
@claudiocinieri7890 I mean, sort of? They are certainly reusing lots of elements from RE2 and RE3. I think the game feels basically nothing like dark souls. If you want a game that copies dark souls elements, I’d name horizon or monster Hunter world
I'm confused about the Danger Dial--is it moved forward by cards which say to move it forward? The rulebook isn't clear about how the Danger Dial works. Is it used only in the campaign or during individual scenarios? I'd appreciate any advice, thank you!
I think cards can move it forward, but also the number of zombies and corpses at the end of the scenario and stuff like that. And yes, it only matters in the campaign, triggering nastier effects from the event cards and such. But the whole game is a campaign game. I don’t think there is an official one-off scenario mode
I think they were even darker in RE 2 and 3, but yeah they are still darker than I’d prefer here. It doesn’t impact ease of play into experience, but it is annoying 😅

Thanks Mike! I’ll be pulling mine out of the shipping box now 😊
That’s what I’m here for 😜

That's alright, if you find em they'll probably just die anyway 😅
@@OneStopCoopShop They'll become zombie friends!
I'm intrigued by the threat continuity over the campaign. It seems like it could really snowball.

I strangely enjoyed the recent RE3 remake, though it still pales in comparison to the RE1, 2, and 4 remakes

@@commandershepard9920 woah there, we can't be friends anymore! ;)
(But yeah, RE4 is more action horror than survival horror, but I love em all)

Not just the tiles, the cards are dark and dull as well.
@LetsKeepThePeace I haven’t had any trouble with the cards personally
They copy paste everything, the design here is Dark soul feeling, also the icons etc. they save money and charge the buyers, smart...

2:15 wow these tiles look bad! I love tile-based random boards, but where Lobotomy 2 shines this is a huge let-down. Are they really that dark irl??

Quite boring. Don't know, really, if this game will be something good.
I think if you found this boring, the game probably isn’t for you! Nothing wrong with that :)
