I liked this video before I started watching it. Chris, your organizational skills are inspiring me. I'm *this* close to starting my own business, but the "security" of my current job is leading to my procrastination. I love your energy, though, and it seems like we'd have a good time working together. If you ever find yourself doing some work in the Houston area, I'd be happy to help however I can.
They say the first few thousands are the hardest.. and you’re beyond that now. If you keep on going like this you’ll get there. You’ve got the skills for sure 😎👍
That's a big case! How much does it weigh? Won't it be easier to have two small ones(one for sony and one for bmpcc perhaps)? It's great that everything you have is practical and nothing is wasted. Thank you for sharing. 😃
Thank you for investing in your business Chris! Great gear matters 💪🏽 I always get questions about the gear I use like "isn't that overkill for an interview?" 🤦🏻♂
This is great Chris! Thanks for sharing. Quick question. Do you think it's better to start with say a Titla Matte Box mini and build up to the Basecamp? Or just go ALL IN?! Thanks!
The basecamp system is an investment! If you are just wanting to start off, go tilta! But I knew I wanted this and was going to keep it for years, so I went ahead and got the basecamp!
Have you tried adapting those Canon lenses to your Sony? I would love to know how the 100mm performs on the Sony. I am a Sony shooter and I plan on getting the BMPCC 6K Pro in the future as my cinema camera and was wondering if it makes sense to get the Canon 100mm and adapt it to my Sony for my macro shots. That way I don't have to buy a macro lens for each mount.
If I travel with anything sensitive in the case, I would do my best to make sure that it has no wiggle room! So maybe secure cameras by wrapping them in a shirt or something! But yes, the case is insane!
have you ever flown with the gear case? Do they try to get you to check it? I don't think I would trust all my gear to bounce around with only those dividers. Let me know your experience. :-)
@@ChrisFranklinJr it’s funny, i ended up going with dividers myself ultimately. Foam is just too restrictive and my rig changes all the time. Thanks for the shirt tip
I have a ton of BTS of some shoots coming up, so I figured that I would go ahead and show you ALL OF THE GEAR!

The case is super heavy but easy to work with!! So, two would be a solid choice, but I personally wanted one large one! No regrets!

Awesome video! Can you share your wallpapers form your PC?
It should be somewhere in here: www.wallpaperflare.com/search?wallpaper=blue+space
Hey Chris, how do you transport your lights and stands to your gigs? Is there a specific case that you recommend?
I’m looking into a new hard case from B&H! The SKB Regular ATA
Thanks for the good video. Do you put these expensive equipments in your checked luggage?

Hi Chris - could you provide any info about your lid organizer please - and where purchased? and how you attach it? Many thanks

Not yet but the dividers, when packed well, keep the gear tight! But I would honestly stuff it with a shirt if I fly with it!
@@ChrisFranklinJr it’s funny, i ended up going with dividers myself ultimately. Foam is just too restrictive and my rig changes all the time. Thanks for the shirt tip
DO YOU FLY WITH THIS CASE?
Not yet, but I will!!
