Top 5: Favorite Books for Business, Wealth, and Success
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 чер 2017
- Since this is one of the most frequently asked questions I receive, these are my top 5 favorite books I recommend for business and success. While these books aren’t the how-to types with real estate and investments, these books would give a solid foundation to wealth, business, and mindset that have made a significantly impact on me. Enjoy! Feel free to add me on Snapchat / Instagram: GPStephan -- Top 5 picks below:
Your money or your life - goo.gl/fmlaJR
This one really puts your time into perspective with regard to how much something costs you, compared with how much time you spend making money. If you work at $20/hour and a dinner costs you $40, the dinner is 2 hours of your time - thinking of expenses like this shows you the value of your time and learning to make the most of it.
Think and Grow Rich - goo.gl/SSKlyu
This is a classic that I’ve read MULTIPLE times. In fact, I likely read this one at least once per year - you can also find it on UA-cam as an audiobook. Think and Grow Rich simplifies the techniques some of the most successful people have used in achieving their wealth, and what they all have in common. This is a MUST READ for anyone interested.
The Millionaire Next Door - goo.gl/KaDa7R
Not all millionaires live flashy lives or come from family money - in fact, the vast majority of millionaires are first generation wealthy. Most of them live very modestly, most of them are business owners, and most of them live under the radar. This book is great to put this in perspective and surveys actual millionaires and how they created their wealth.
The 4 Hour Work Week - goo.gl/xqmhGE
This was one of the books that inspired me to begin creating passive income. While so many entrepreneurs and business people preach “hustling 24/7, working all the time, never sleeping,” Timothy Ferris takes the opposite approach - work as little as possible. This book is a great foundation to creating passive income and leveraging your time with the resources around you.
Awaken the Giant Within - goo.gl/niIAEI
This is one of my favorite self-help books. Anthony Robins speaks about limiting beliefs and how to overcome the mental obstacles that could be holding you back. I’m a believer that success first starts from within, so this is a great book to realize what would mentally be holding you back from achieving what you want.
Thanks so much for watching!
You’re the reason I started in real estate. I’ve been a small business owner and self employed for 4 years and your videos were so informative I made a complete career change and I’ve become a millionaire before 30 ♥️thank you!!!
Congrats! How did you become a millionaire if you don’t mind me asking lol
@@Andrew-Paulo I have the same question I wanna be exactly like you!
Read four of these books; also loved and enjoyed Richest Man in Babylon!
Yes! Timeless!
What I’m noticing is you read most of these in high school when most kids were concerned with other things. You spent time reading and truly educating yourself at a young age. I wish I learned this stuff in high school.
3.5 years later I found this video and I'm now diving into this list of books, thanks Graham!

Great video!! i love reading business related books although my friends look at me like Im crazy or something.. ill add those books to my read-list
After I finish my current book I'll read these. Thanks for the recommendations.
Adding these to my goodreads as we speak! I did a Finance/Leadership TBR video for this month & had 6 books on there, so I’m definitely looking for more this month since I’m about halfway through them already. Thanks for sharing these!! ✨
Also, searching for free audiobooks on YT is a great tip! Thanks!!
@@thesandrapagethings You must read Think and Grow Rich! It's really really valuable. There are lots of audio content on UA-cam :D By the way, if you want to check out my summary of it you can watch it here! ua-cam.com/video/eaZArIubAiA/v-deo.html
Another great one. Thanks for the recommendations Graham!
The more you LEARN, the more you EARN!
YES!!
Commando Master love this!! ✨
Yes cuz knowledge is PROFIT !
I have a Phd, but hmm 🤣😂
great content as always. thanks man will check out those that I haven't read
Thank you for all the recommendations!!
Even though his books are faith/family centric and primarily talk about getting out of debt, I believe Dave Ramsey has some great material out there as well. He talks quite a bit about investing in real estate, mutual funds, retirement, etc.
I enjoy his videos. You don't get more common sense and blunt than Dave Ramsey!
Awaken the Giant Within was one of the first motivational books I ever owned and read. Helped to open my mind. I , too like, own and still reread "Your Money or Your Life", "The Millionaire Next Door" and "Think and Grow Rich". My other personal favorites are "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by T Harv Eker, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" (and all his other books) and "The Automatic Millionaire" by David Bach. I began reading these books 20 years ago and now I am FI. I look at my stack of books and I think wow, this is where it all began. It's so surreal. Love your videos Graham, thanks for sharing!
Yes sir. I believe in Thoughts and Actions!
Congrats on 50k subs so fast! Will be checking out these books. Personally I like the Millionaire Teacher, a book about passive investing.

Very well explained Graham. Thank you!
Thanks for this video Graham!!! Some that I haven't read yet so I can't wait to get into them! You're killing the youtube game!!
+DavidMarinoJr Thanks dude! How's everything going in Louisiana?
GrahamStephan it's great man! Trying to come visit LA again soon so I can see more of it!!
Watching this video a year later, thanks for summarizing what the books are about. I love listening & feeding my brain with stuff like this!!
Awesome!
Great video! This is going to help me in the long run.
Hi Graham, viewer from the UK here, been loving your content for the past few years. I come back to this video a lot. I would love to see an updated version of this video. I have read a lot of books about economics, finance, wealth etc. Recently I read Capital as Power ( a study of order and creorder which i highly recommend) and Capital in the 21st century. Both of these, and many books I come across are theory based. Would be great to get your updated list of top 10 books that offer practical, actionable advice (i don't mean one's that are get rich quick).
Best, Joe
So glad your new videos don’t have music in the background lol great depth in your channel tho
Read think and grow rich when I was 18 def made me view things differently, and I have been following Tim ferris work for a bit 4hww was very eye opening. Need to get on those other books! Great vid
Thanks Adrian!
Hi Graham, want to say thank you for recommending good books 📚 for us. I have bought and read them all, waiting for your next list.
Have a good day!
+Yiting Chen Thank you! I'll upload a new list likely in a week or so, been crazy busy and haven't had a chance to upload anything!
Hi Graham, it is very understandable that you are busy, that's why I appreciate more that you spent time to share stuff and even replied.
Having been waiting for your new upload too. But don't rush, good stuff takes time! 😊
Where he was, and where he is now! Amazing ❤️
some of my favorite UA-camrs talking about books around the exact same time my craze for reading books came back? Win!
Really? Wow good timing on my end, haha - What other people are talking about books?
GrahamStephan I applaud your timing! :P. And as a college freshman in about a month, I've been watching Thomas Frank's videos. And his last video was about 10 books that every student should read. Will be getting around to reading them in the next few weeks!
Also, thanks for the book suggestions!
P.S: Love what you do, and keep doing what you're doing
I’ve read the first two, didn’t know about the other three. Gonna get those!
Let me know how you enjoy them!
Graham, great videos. Do you find it faster to go through more books by listening to audiobooks or watching UA-cam videos of book summaries instead? Or do you still prefer to actually read the book?
Thanks for your great video! This is a life saving!👊🤗
Great Vid! Gonna check out those books :p
You are golden really an inspiration!
Thank you!
Always on point and good content :)
Thank you!
Just bought all of these! Gonna binge everything on kindle...

Good stuff Graham!
Thanks for 50 000 subs?
November 2020 he's sitting at 2.55 million.
Great work Graham! Love your videos!
Wow i have this exact video topic about books that got me into real estate scheduled to upload Monday lol I've read all the books on your list other than your money or your life, I'll definitely have to pick that one up, the others i can say are definitely amazing
Great minds think alike!
Great list & very well presented. More vids like this please :D
+Eric U Absolutely! Glad you enjoyed it!
For me it was Cash Flow Quadrant by Kiyosaki, that book cost me a few bucks but made me a lot of money. It was the best investment I ever bought. That book changed my life. Also, your hater impersonation *Bro, why don't you drive a Ferrari?* was on point haha! I love your stuff and I look forward to watching your vids everyday. More power to you Graham!
Haha thanks so much, I agree!
I have Think and Grow Rich and The Millionaire next door. My first finance book was Rich Dad Poor Dad. It's what started my journey. I have a total of about 25 finance books and I've read 16 of them so far. Plan to keep reading. I'm currently reading Nomad Capitalist and Think and Grow rich. I read one at work during break and the other at home in my spare time.
Any news? Any new book's? 😁😁
Those books are life saving. There are the books you can recommend to your son/grandson to read. I really enjoyed Tony Robins-Awaken the Giant Within and 4 Hour Workweek -T.Ferris. I see that many successful people impressed by the books you are mentioning on your video.
I was recently watching a Dave Ramsey video and was browsing through the comments and came across a book suggestion that has really changed my view on work and exchanging time for money. The book was called "Millionaire Fastlane" by MJ Demarco. He has another book out I read as well called "Unscripted" but I enjoyed the first one much more.
I read "think and grow rich"(great book). "4 hour work week" is actually the book I am reading now (about half way done) "awaken the giant within" and "millionaire next door" are both on my list to read. I have actually never heard of "your money or your life" though, I will have to look into that one!
Went back to find this! :)
Graham you should consider updating this video in 2020. I just picked it up when I was watching investingwithrose favorite books. It’s a gem of a video with far too few views.
Hey Graham. Any chance to make an updated video on any new books you'd recommend? Also, I checked out your favorite books on Amazon and you have one by "Marco Devor" I think you meant to have the book on there by the author MJ Demarco ( THe Milionaire Fastlane).. could be wrong but may wanna update that.
Read the millionaire fastlane, Great book. Thanks for the book suggestions. I gotta put the ps4 controller down and grab a book. Knowledge = Freedom of everything.
Freedom Fighter adding this to my finance focused TBR this month! ✨
Same bro 😪 I been lacking for so long.
Awesome!! you just crushed Tai Lopez's arrogance in such an awesome way! Keep it up, champ! :)
+Nano Thanks!
Wow, no rich dad, poor dad. That's the book that everyone in real estate investing says
Braxx I was thinking the same thing..I read that a month or so ago and it totally changed my perspective and inspired me to get involved into real estate and stock market investing. Definitely recommend that book to anyone willing to make a change in their lives!
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed that book - I was going to make a second part of this video with more practical advice books (none of the ones I recommended here really have to do with investing, these are just good books to build a foundation from).
yes please do! :)
YESS I thought the same..
Rich dad doesn't really have practical advice, just general concepts.
So good man. Love doing that same thing - looking back at your life and the amount of money you've made, and what you have to show for it. You gotta ask yourself "Is my net worth growing every day?"
🙌🏼
I have read think and grow rich and napoleon hill laws of success many times. Strongly recommend. They've changed my life.
🙌🏼
Great video sir keep it up
He sure did
I love both the secret and think and grow rich
Thanks for these tips, but also thanks so much for doing that roth IRA video legit really helped me and it made it super easy for me to my friends about it, you broke it down really good. And yes Vanguard is great.
I read THE MILLIONAIRE NEXT DOOR a few months back and enjoyed it immensely. It was a confidence booster. Living in between several affluent neighborhoods for decades, one sometimes felt poor and somewhat inadequate. Reading TMND made me feel jacked-up, knowing that I am accumulating wealth, while these "affluent" people virtually don't have a dime to their name given that they blow their money on "status" symbols and keeping up appearances!
Great video! What watch are you wearing?
great content!
I look forward to more videos
God bless you graham❤️
Hey Graham, did you make a follow up video with your favorite real estate books? I searched your channel and didn't find it. Would definitely be interested in your top selections! Thank you as always!
I haven't made a full update video BUT here are all my favorite books!

You have good taste on hip hop instrumentals.
+Lexx Giant Thanks! 🙌🏼 always try to get some good instrumentals going in the background. Glad you noticed it!
GrahamStephan Your welcome, I just finished my first course in real estate using premier schools! Keep making videos man. I appreciate them.
Your videos have come so far.
ive read them all, dont forget these are all free at the library! side-note congrats on 2 million subs, you were at 50k when you made this video!
Thank you Graham
+Nick Kolb 🙌🏼
Graham, you gotta read Good to great by Jim Collins.
Hey Graham. Big fan here. I'm from the Philippines. Can I just ask what are the books you highly recommend that tackles the topic of Investing, whether it be bout real estate or stocks. Thank you!
Nice list; I've read 3 out of the 5 you suggest. Big Tony Robbins fan -- going to his event in SF this March. Will you be there?
I won't be, but want to hit up one of his events in the future!
Thanks so much for sharing this Graham. I look forward to reading all of the mentioned books. I have just finished reading Think and Grow Rich, and it is truly remarkable and contains so many beneficial principles people can integrate into their lives to tap into their full potential! I have made a summary of my own (spoken word/rap) version. I would love to hear what you guys think about it! @
I can relate to the first book This year my eyes opened and yes I’m one of the ppl that have worked 12+ yrs and have nothing to show for it 😞 As a truck driver I was eating out 3-4 times a day any where from $10-$20 a meal plus buy drinks and snacks 😱 I adds it up what I spent on food I could’ve bought a House with cash no wonder I’m old and as big as house now struggling to lose weight 😞
did you read The Millionaire Fastlane? I'm really enjoying it
Try the millionaire fastlane by MJDemarco, and garyvee content. They crush some of the ideas of the books presented, good reads though!
Hey Graham, great video! This is going back to previous video, but I thought I might ask now. You mentioned when you first started out in real estate you were working 10-12 hours a day - And after 10 months you got your first sale. What exactly were you doing for 10-12 hours a day, I think you used the word: "Grinding"? So what exactly was that? Thanks!
Great question. I worked a LOT of rentals, I'd take anything that came my way - even if it was
The point of think and grow rich is that your thoughts are the fuel for action. Of course thinking about money every hour of the day will manifest into you gaining wealth. Hence thoughts can manifest your reality.
You should do part 2
Think rich grow rich definitely Helps, highly recommend
Read the Alchemist that’s important too
Hey Graham :D, for some reason i've stoped receiving notification from your videos :(, had to hit the Bell again haha.
2 books i would recommend they are not really related to business but are great for know how business work and business are developed and what makes successful people succeed is Hatching Twitter, And Elon Musk Bio, both books are amazing and i can't recommend enough, also a small tip for people that want to read more ( i read 3 books a month need to increase it haha and i'ts not the scan or 1 book a day like Tay Lopez BS reading is really reading) is set goals and start with small goals, when i started i had a goal to read 25 pages everyday, and choose books i enjoyed the reading, for me if i don't enjoy the first 2 pages of the book, then i just skip it to find another book that i will enjoy at that time and then go back to the "boring" book later.
Second thing that helps reading more is by reading multiple books at the same time, yes it is possible i would recommend choosing books with different topics tho :P
Weird, yeah I have another account and I'd say the notifications go through 50% of the time. Thanks for those suggestions, I'll look into them!
GrahamStephan :D no worries :D
I’ll have to read “your money or your life.” Thanks graham!! 💪🏼 I reviewed a few good money books on my channel too! Thanks for checking it out
Hey graham thank you so much for your videos they're very informative and I've learning a lot through them. I'm currently in high school with all As but I'm not sure if college would be good for me. I also work in construction during the summer and on saturdays and have saved up a couple thousand. Should I just finish off high school and work in construction for a couple years to save up say 100k and buy real state and invest or go off to college and live a secure middle class life? What would you do and thank you so much for reading this
I'd do both - best of both worlds. You can still get the security of a steady job if need be, or you can invest on the side and make the jump full time when you're ready.
My favorite book is tai lopez
Lamborghini investing by tai Lopez is great

You can also get a lot of these Audio books through your local library through an app called Libby! It's been saving me a ton of money by not buying on Audible at $15 each.
Some great books there. Have you read 'Think it. Pitch it. Sell it' by Pierre Coombes its a great read.
Thanks for your great video! Recently, I came across a very interesting book from an author named Ollivier Mafaya. The book is not very long, it's called "NONSENSE" and in a very straightforward way it tells about the cost of all business processes (marketing, employees, outsourcing, etc.) and how to go about it all. Interestingly, the author debunks various motivational myths in a very interesting way. The book is on Amazon, I'm ultra-curious about your opinion.
This is a great "how to" on affiliate marketing ; )
@GrahamStephan , After I made this comment I saw yours below about making practically nothing from Amazon. The monetization will come in time with the bigger audience. Every week I have seen your viewership increase. You're doing a great job, keep it up! #CashFlow
+Ruczy Media Thanks man! Even then, I highly doubt it'd ever compensate me for the amount of time I spend - I mean, maybe over years and years if it adds up - but I mainly make a few dollars here, a few there. It's something cool just to put back in to a better mic or something, but there's probably way more profitable ways than doing UA-cam for Amazon links - I get hit up a lot by advertisers wanting me to post their products, that would pay pretty well but I'd hate to stoop to that level and "cash out" from my viewers, if that makes sense. But yeah, cool to see this channel grow!
Absolutely, I believe there is certainly a way to get that check from companies as an advertiser and still accomplish what you want. It's all about moderation. You can do 90/10 what you want with a little bit of their products thrown in. I know you know. Catch ya later!
@@GrahamStephan Graham I doubt you will see this but this is so satisfying to see your success that here you are 2 years ago hoping that youtube will some day make you enough money for a new mic to where you are today. Would love to have a proper conversation with you some day
You read "How Rich People Think" from Steve Siebold ?
Really an eye-opener :D
I'll check it out!
waiting for the second list.
+Krishna Kumar Will be next week!
Graham, you're a legend. I'm looking up books I want for Christmas and I wanted your recommendations.. type that in on Google and this video pops right up..
Thanks so much!! :) Google worked!
@@GrahamStephan Thank YOU for helping me learn so much about both real estate and finance
My favorite book is Snowball by Warren Buffet it completely changed the way I view money and life and luxury gooda
+Lionsrboss I literally have that book sitting in the middle of everything I mentioned here!
is the think and grow rich link the same as the book you showed us or is it a smaller one because you said you were holding a compilation of the books?
I'm holding some weird version that's a compilation of all of his works, but it's the exact same thing - any think and grow rich by napoleon hill will work just fine!
I love Your Money or Your Life! I also wrote a review about it on my channel. I think it is a life-changing book. And The Millionaire Next Door is also an unbelievable read. This is where Texans get the expression Big Hat No Cattle to express the flashy guy with no assets to show for it. And of course the title is giving the whole thing away. It's the millionaire living next door to YOU on Main Street! You literally would have no idea he or she had money! Great list.
The first 78 pages of "The Way to Wealth" by Benjamin Franklin are still applicable today. If it had been required reading in high school, we might have averted the '29 Crash and '08 crisis.
