Top 5: Favorite Books for Business, Wealth, and Success

  • Since this is one of the most frequently asked questions I receive, these are my top 5 favorite books I recommend for business and success. While these books aren’t the how-to types with real estate and investments, these books would give a solid foundation to wealth, business, and mindset that have made a significantly impact on me. Enjoy! Feel free to add me on Snapchat / Instagram: GPStephan -- Top 5 picks below:
    Your money or your life - goo.gl/fmlaJR
    This one really puts your time into perspective with regard to how much something costs you, compared with how much time you spend making money. If you work at $20/hour and a dinner costs you $40, the dinner is 2 hours of your time - thinking of expenses like this shows you the value of your time and learning to make the most of it.
    Think and Grow Rich - goo.gl/SSKlyu
    This is a classic that I’ve read MULTIPLE times. In fact, I likely read this one at least once per year - you can also find it on UA-cam as an audiobook. Think and Grow Rich simplifies the techniques some of the most successful people have used in achieving their wealth, and what they all have in common. This is a MUST READ for anyone interested.
    The Millionaire Next Door - goo.gl/KaDa7R
    Not all millionaires live flashy lives or come from family money - in fact, the vast majority of millionaires are first generation wealthy. Most of them live very modestly, most of them are business owners, and most of them live under the radar. This book is great to put this in perspective and surveys actual millionaires and how they created their wealth.
    The 4 Hour Work Week - goo.gl/xqmhGE
    This was one of the books that inspired me to begin creating passive income. While so many entrepreneurs and business people preach “hustling 24/7, working all the time, never sleeping,” Timothy Ferris takes the opposite approach - work as little as possible. This book is a great foundation to creating passive income and leveraging your time with the resources around you.
    Awaken the Giant Within - goo.gl/niIAEI
    This is one of my favorite self-help books. Anthony Robins speaks about limiting beliefs and how to overcome the mental obstacles that could be holding you back. I’m a believer that success first starts from within, so this is a great book to realize what would mentally be holding you back from achieving what you want.
    Thanks so much for watching!

    Awaken the Giant Within was one of the first motivational books I ever owned and read. Helped to open my mind. I , too like, own and still reread "Your Money or Your Life", "The Millionaire Next Door" and "Think and Grow Rich". My other personal favorites are "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by T Harv Eker, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" (and all his other books) and "The Automatic Millionaire" by David Bach. I began reading these books 20 years ago and now I am FI. I look at my stack of books and I think wow, this is where it all began. It's so surreal. Love your videos Graham, thanks for sharing!

Living in between several affluent neighborhoods for decades, one sometimes felt poor and somewhat inadequate. Reading TMND made me feel jacked-up, knowing that I am accumulating wealth, while these "affluent" people virtually don't have a dime to their name given that they blow their money on "status" symbols and keeping up appearances!

    Hey Graham :D, for some reason i've stoped receiving notification from your videos :(, had to hit the Bell again haha.
    2 books i would recommend they are not really related to business but are great for know how business work and business are developed and what makes successful people succeed is Hatching Twitter, And Elon Musk Bio, both books are amazing and i can't recommend enough, also a small tip for people that want to read more ( i read 3 books a month need to increase it haha and i'ts not the scan or 1 book a day like Tay Lopez BS reading is really reading) is set goals and start with small goals, when i started i had a goal to read 25 pages everyday, and choose books i enjoyed the reading, for me if i don't enjoy the first 2 pages of the book, then i just skip it to find another book that i will enjoy at that time and then go back to the "boring" book later.
    Second thing that helps reading more is by reading multiple books at the same time, yes it is possible i would recommend choosing books with different topics tho :P

    Hey graham thank you so much for your videos they're very informative and I've learning a lot through them. I'm currently in high school with all As but I'm not sure if college would be good for me. I also work in construction during the summer and on saturdays and have saved up a couple thousand. Should I just finish off high school and work in construction for a couple years to save up say 100k and buy real state and invest or go off to college and live a secure middle class life? What would you do and thank you so much for reading this

    • @GrahamStephan
      @GrahamStephan  7 років тому

      I'd do both - best of both worlds. You can still get the security of a steady job if need be, or you can invest on the side and make the jump full time when you're ready.

    Thanks for your great video! Recently, I came across a very interesting book from an author named Ollivier Mafaya. The book is not very long, it's called "NONSENSE" and in a very straightforward way it tells about the cost of all business processes (marketing, employees, outsourcing, etc.) and how to go about it all. Interestingly, the author debunks various motivational myths in a very interesting way. The book is on Amazon, I'm ultra-curious about your opinion.

      @GrahamStephan , After I made this comment I saw yours below about making practically nothing from Amazon. The monetization will come in time with the bigger audience. Every week I have seen your viewership increase. You're doing a great job, keep it up! #CashFlow

      +Ruczy Media Thanks man! Even then, I highly doubt it'd ever compensate me for the amount of time I spend - I mean, maybe over years and years if it adds up - but I mainly make a few dollars here, a few there. It's something cool just to put back in to a better mic or something, but there's probably way more profitable ways than doing UA-cam for Amazon links - I get hit up a lot by advertisers wanting me to post their products, that would pay pretty well but I'd hate to stoop to that level and "cash out" from my viewers, if that makes sense. But yeah, cool to see this channel grow!

    • @ruczymedia3494
      @ruczymedia3494 7 років тому

      Absolutely, I believe there is certainly a way to get that check from companies as an advertiser and still accomplish what you want. It's all about moderation. You can do 90/10 what you want with a little bit of their products thrown in. I know you know. Catch ya later!

    I love Your Money or Your Life! I also wrote a review about it on my channel. I think it is a life-changing book. And The Millionaire Next Door is also an unbelievable read. This is where Texans get the expression Big Hat No Cattle to express the flashy guy with no assets to show for it. And of course the title is giving the whole thing away. It's the millionaire living next door to YOU on Main Street! You literally would have no idea he or she had money! Great list.

    The first 78 pages of "The Way to Wealth" by Benjamin Franklin are still applicable today. If it had been required reading in high school, we might have averted the '29 Crash and '08 crisis.
