UPDATE: The departure tax of 25CUC has since been ADDED to the ticket of the flight that you buy out of Cuba. So there’s no need to save that much when leaving the country. Hope that clears everything up!

"All bad?" Are you freaking kidding me??? Havana has a kick ass nightlife! Their live salsa scene is the greatest in the solar system! As far as speaking Spanish is concerned, there are few countries on earth who speak a cleaner, more beautiful dialect of the language. These are educated people who NEVER curse and NEVER speak in slang. They are intelligible and a joy to hear. If I tried to write all of the wonderful things about this brilliant country, I'd be typing for a week. I love Cuba beyond all description. Visiting Cuba was a privilege and an event of my life. God bless Cuba.

Beautiful country, beautiful people. Here’s another VERY useful tip. Don’t try to bribe Police, you’ll end up in the can. I never needed to, but I speak Spanish fluently without an accent. Having said that, many tourists are herded into government controlled tourist areas. If Police see you outside those areas and mingling with Cubans without a government issued permit to talk to tourists, the Cubans around you can get in a lot of trouble. Just make sure you state that they are friends, not guides. That there are no transactions going on, just chatting and having a good time with a friend.

There's actually nothing wrong with Cuba's tap water, its treated water (at least in Havana). The issue is that your organism may not be used with its components. Also, the departure tax was abolished in 2015.
Why was that even a thing?
Sorry to disappoint my friend but the only place where water is "treated" is havana and not in all places. Everywhere else tap water is not even potable. So if you go there again make sure to drink the bottled one.
Another tip. Bring non-perishable foods and snacks.

Trust me there is. They make it with bad quality leaves. The original one they take good care in every details of the all fabrication. Even the right temperature. I bought fake ones 30 dollars a box of 24 fake Cuban cigars. Because the original box was 150 dollar for only 12 cigars. It was in Havana in 2014.

Its obvious its a poor quality compared to a good quality scam, but a "fake cuban cigar" is still a cigar made in cuba
It's easy mate you get offered them a lot best place for government approved cigars but cheaper is on a trip to a tabaco farm
