Can you maybe do a video or mini series on the "web" of styling. Web meaning the inter webbing connection between Designers to PR, PR to photographer, photographer to Stylist? I have realized that there is a "behind-the-scenes" system😍💕
Was it hard for you to navigate the protocol for certain things as a stylist? For example, taking suitcases to pull clothes? I think I would feel really nervous taking a suitcase with me the first time I pull clothes, asking how many things to take, etc.
Hey Charlie, I think because I am a bit of an organisation freak it came really naturally! I always like planning things out so I think it had made my job easier! I am glad that I have come up with 'formula's' which can now be passed on to make it really easy for people to pick it up! You will also find that PR's are really direct, most will say where you can pull from and how much you can take. But I always ask just so that I'm not in any doubt and I can get the most out of my press appointment! You will be nervous.. I think it all is nerve-racking, especially when its the first time meeting brands (i still get it with new contacts) but eventually you will get used to it. This REALLY is the exciting thing about the job though! The nerves, the victories etc. Just enjoy yourself and be yourself! I am sure they will Love you xx
Majority of the time... yes! The idea is that press can promote what is in the stores to encourage consumers to buy. However there are some more exclusive/couture pieces that are only available for order or appointment. xx
