@@mysunshineisturningintoabl2307 well my mi 11 lite 5g ne. Isn't so great in terms of temperature control or battery life. I mean it's not bad but it's not very good either. Using Ram extension makes it so bad, in terms of battery life, performance, and overheating. It's so bad! So I'd recommend everyone who uses this feature to turn it off

For some people, that ultrawide selfie camera is everything and it actually is good value just because of that. Hopefully the software becomes better so there will actually be a competition to 2nd hand iphones since every chinese midrange offer performance and nothing more

Honest review as usual, however if you increased the camera TEST and comparison it will be great.
Naming 8 series chip it should definitely perform more than 8 gen 2. L3 cache is only 4mb. It's very low.
i don't like top left placement of circular or any other shaped camera island. table wobbles & weight inclination towards that side are problems. camera island should be in the middle

I'm more wondering whether this will become the new 14 Lite coming in a month or two time. What if this becomes another phone or the Xiaomi 14T/Pro instead? It's never consistent with Xiaomi and especially so when the 8 series chipset is involved.
it surely won't belong to T series- since it's not priority performance. Even with 13T/Pro, xiaomi brings Leica to them too, still they heavily focus on performance/price (with thickness, thermal solution,...) While Civi line is always about light weight and design.
Is the 8sg3 practically better than the 8g2 in AI related tasks and should we the consumer, even care? Or just get the 8g2 if we r after the best performance? Appreciated

For me personally, I think we'd still wait for a while to get Flagship killer phone with IP68, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen2, NFC, and IR mdoule. Not necessarily have to be equipped with flagship SoC. And acceptable screen replacement price and availability. Full compatibility with DJI and Zhiyun Gimbal (also 3rd party cinema camera app) and seamless transition between main camera and telephoto+wide+selfie camera.
This phone is going to change the way I use technology.

If you don't care about selfies then I think the K70pro would be a better option. Actually, saw a comparison and the rear cameras and although they basically use the same hardware, the camera performane is better on the k70 pro at least in lowlight and for video. So you actually get better rear cameras on the k70 pro despite the 'Leica' branding on the Civi. Size and selfies are the advantages of the Civi but everything else is better on the k70 pro and there is not much gap in price
Lol I saw what you're talking and those kinds of reviews actually are fake camera reviews. Everything is taken with one phone, then they put filter or slightly edit the other, then call it a comparison review when in fact, was taken on a single phone.
