If you do a 45° cut and rotate 90° between them you get nice trapezoidal pieces that tumble around and don’t stick together.
I’ve done something similar in a mw with tomato sauce. Made some nice casseroles that way with squash, pasta, and mozzarella and Parmesan to bind it all together.

I just tried this out and its so simple and super delish!! thank you I had a few zucchinis was not sure how to prepare. I ate the entire pan! one zucchini sliced up with onions yellow and red peppers scallions thyme garlic and a tad of cumin powder and cayenne! Without even tasting it this dish came out smelling and tasting like it should be on a vegan menu somewhere! wow! soooo tasty!! I will be making it again tomorrow night (I have four more zucchinis to go thru! )lol . I also ate it with fresh baby spinach and a veggie patty; made from soy corn carrots and green peas.

Thanks for doing this. The seasoning suggestions are really appreciated. One day, you might want to add in a can of fire roasted tomatoes. It's an awesome addition and adds an extra flavor to the dish.

That does make a very healthy and delicious side dish. I could see this with some chicken breasts or anything really. It’s nice to share some sides cause sometimes we can think of something a bit different from the usual and this looks fantastic

I usually sauté mushrooms green pepper and onions but this recipe was really great along side a steak. Thanks for sharing this video. I can’t give my squash away to neighbors so since I love it I’m looking for other ways to cook besides frying
