I think that the BBC should start airing Timberboners
Lol
Haha BBC
Would be lovely
Was it autocorrect or did you say “Timberboners” (not Timberborners) on purpose.
But then we'd need a TV license
Video isn't complete without him mentioning that he loves the "water physics"
😅 I really do tho...
I think anybody could have a wank watching these water physics honestly.
Ikr lol
Agreed
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming #teamseas.......
heres a few tips:
-dont put levees in the middle of aqveduct, so you get more water there that takes long time to evaporate
-with the way things are, you are squandering your farming potential when you have that little farmers.. seriously put more patreons on the wheat fields and youtubers to the carrot fields.
you can see that fields are not fully used when you can see that halfcircle pattern in fields so some of those are never collected
If Matt was worried about efficiency, I think the shame wheels wouldn’t be his highest priority.
Also it’s probably more efficient to make a hamster wheel next to the grist mill because the hamster wheel generates as much power as the gristmill needs and can work during the dry season.
Also the aqueduct would be built much faster if it was just two walls with no bottom
@@danielmccarthy9556 he's just over engineering it 😏
Even worse, his love of floodgates is working against him. Dams would be just as effective if not better
I’m a bit worried about the UA-cam Tower. It’s certainly impressive, but I’m worried that the beavers living further up might not get to any food or water in time before the day ends because of how FAR they have to travel.
Man, I wish there where elevators!
Yea lol I was thinking this as well. They will spend the whole day working their way down the tower only to reach the bottom just in time to go back to bed lol
Yeah that’s why you kinda have to put warehouses and water tanks in the mid levels
The game is still in early access, so there's definitely a chance that the devs will add elevators. It is possible to have a water-powered elevator irl, so it boils down to implementation rather than practicality.
Probably won't get any work done either. They will come done the tower to eat and drink and just go right back up living like a king.
elevators and cranes would be a good edition to the game :)
I've been waiting for this I'm addicted.
Your not the only one
You're not alone!
Fr you’re definitely not alone in that
Same!
Addiction is unhealthy
Breaking news: squirrels build a tower larger then the burj kalifa after being commanded to by a floating god
Who is the sun
They are beavers
I guess we could call it the Birch Kalifa
But their beavers
Petition to name the UA-cam members mega apartment “The Timberboner”.
Or maybe Timberbone that way it’s still slightly ambiguous. Just a thought though. Timberboner is still dongin’ amazing.
Yes, this is brilliant.

Do it
One thing to note with distribution posts - check your distributing limits. By default they will allow them to remove all of an item from a district (like the berries), but you can set it to make sure they don't remove the last 50. Conversely, at the receiving side of they hit the max limit beavers won't take that material in (default is 100).

RCE: Shaft
Me: [smirk]
RCE: if we were to glaze this.
Me: oooh a follow up.
Big Tip...hehe: as beavers die there will not always be a beaver to fill it. So how I fix this I pause a hauler hut for a few seconds sacking up to 8 beavers to move in to other jobs. Then hit play in a few seconds and the extras flow back in to haulers and as more come of age they fill it back up.
Thanks Matt, going through some heavy shit in life and this is one of the best times a day when you entertain us. Cheers mate, and all the best
You should do timberborn videos more frequnetly. I'm getting addicted to this 😅😅
Same... 😅😂
Me too
That concrete shaft in modern buildings is called an elevator core, they also have emergency stair wells, or just stair wells.
call it the “Willy Tower” as a play on the Willis Tower in Chicago
No! It’s the Sears tower lol
@@mickeytlaseca9990 It shall always be the Sears Tower to us!
I like here your going there, but I’m sorry, not quite phe timberboner
yessss a timberborners update! you know what that means! maybe my day wont be bad!
If you want to have people live in the top you are going to have to make the skyscraper a new district.
Stairs take up 2 movement, so your not going be able to reach very much of the tower from the ground, you’ll need a district centre halfway up to extend your path.
Another great episode the Paddy bit was the best part. There wasn't anything wrong with the rest but it is hard to beat a Labrador puppy.
Too true!
YES! Our district is prospering! bless us o' great paddy
My favorite series of all time on this channel
Hell yeah my favorite series! Timberboners!
As a Dutch speaker, you definitely have a hygiene issue with the beaver in your pizza kitchen.
2:31 Yeah, he's gonna leave some stains...
Me who used google translate and now wants him returned to the shaming wheel.
?
RCE put him in the Shaming Wheel bc he Knew the Meaning of the Name btw, So, HE KNOWS.
16:20 thats what i was thinking all along😀 you got a satar from me.*
omg two references back to back, we've been spoiled
That feel when you descover a youtuber you love and binge watch a series to it's completion and now have to wait for more, please more soon kind sir.
8:17 min You could almost say "they are all doing their berry own thing now" :D
Loving the videos! When you select a building - you can press "P" to pause it. Bit of a stretch on the keyboard but may prove useful
This is def the most interesting Series you have done
Finally a timberborn video
I have been waiting for so long
For the love of beavers! Dynamite an overflow canal where you planted the youtuber berries! You'll get more arrable land and less floodgate micromanaging
#Suggestion
Ask devs to add a distillery/brewery/winery. That'd put the wheat and berries to good use. Of course, to consume the products they'll need to add in another building type: pub!
Pube*
Where's the wHinery? I need to Complain About Extensive Use of Explosives.
13:45 it is building the core first because those are the buildings you placed first. Building goes first based on the priority and second based on the order the structure was placed to be built, with the two caveats being that the beavers need to be able to reach what is being built and the more builders you have, the more that will be built at once. So with your tower, the beavers build the barracks as high as they can reach, then build stairs and platforms until the can build the next highest set of barracks. If you had laid out the stairs first and then the barracks in the middle, the beavers could have built the entire staircase all the way to the top before starting on the lowest barracks (unless you had so many builders they worked on the lower barracks because the stairs were taking to long to be built.)
District center vicinity doesn't matter for construction. Those lines primarily show how far a beaver will go for a job
I love this series! Keep it going. ;)
Best days are the days Real Civil Engineer posts a Timberborn video
The large warehouse is described as solid. The shape and the description are too powerful!
As an architect I accept this war you have create and will be in touch
Shame! Shame! Shame!
Shameful that you are a architect!
Oooh I was really waiting for this episode I can’t live without this serie!
I love when these videos come out, quality content for the end of the work week
If it was Timberboners, it would give a new meaning to hardwood.
*groans*
We want this on daily basis !!
RCE should play satisfactory. It would suit his play style and video content. It would also be enjoyable to watch and I think he would enjoy playing it.
idk what it is about this series but its just so good!
Thank you for keeping the intro song short! I don't mind a bit of singing, but the last one was really long. This was much better :D.
Tip - You need 2 Gris Mills to 1 Bakery to be efficient.
YAY! Another Timberborn video!
You’re about to have the 700k subscriber special.
i think you should add warehouses between every 4 or 5 stories in the yt tower so that they dont have to struggle for food supplies
Only recently found this channel and started binge watching this series , what a blast to watch! cheers!

12:40 "The Strongest Shape [...] although they are sort of inside another beaver."
Yes, I believe that is how it functions.
I need more Civil Engineering!! Another fantastic vid.
I love The Timberboners. It's *hard* waiting for them, but when they *come* it gets softer.
Matt: architects suck

@@l33th0b0 true
This week on Timberboners:
Will the UA-cam Member's Timberboner get built? Or will it crash the game?
Will the shame district continue to be without purpose? Or will RCE give in and link the power wheels to something in the dry season?
How many UA-cam members will die trying to scrap ancient (haunted?) ruins?
Will the beavers once again detonate their reservoir in the dry season thereby drying out everything downstream?
No one knows anything for certain... except that I have BOOSH!ed that like button already.
You Wright scrips right?
You should build a canale in the UA-cam members district to direct water from the river so it doesn't flood
that levee aqueduct was the sort of thing i would expect an architect to build. a canal would have been much more efficient.
Actually the Aquaduct does have the advantage of not dropping the water level by a tier. That said, in my game I have more canals than the surface of mars.
probably the biggest difference between engineers and architects is:
engineers are good at minimazing the materials needed
and architects sometimes maximize the ammount of materials
it's interesting how architecture is in some ways the opozite of engineering
you had the chance to say: it’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life (zoom in on the baby’s)
I love how he won’t let big will out but his whole channel is revolves around the strongest shape
He had the same problem with the adjustable water towers last time and the answer was to put them all the way down all three of them but he forgot to put the one at the top all the way down and left it halfway and then talked about blowing something
Yes I love the intro song
I really don't think we should be letting 'Neuken in de Keuken' run a BAKERY.
And you, young @StrongestShapeBestShape, we shall watch your career with great interest
Awesome vid!! Keep the beavers coming!
cant get enough of this seriess!!! love it to the max
I didn't realize that the game had a full release. Guess I have to go back and watch the whole series :D
Oh you have a lot to catch up on! 😅
Matt! You should play satisfacory! Its about engineering!
To think I started watching you at 20k subs. You've been an inspiration, man, you're very entertaining. I plan to become an engineer and get a job designing aircraft some day, maybe I'll start a channel like this
You should put a couple of those dome shaped temples at the bottom of the mega tower instead of the other housing bollocks.
Never stop this series . It’s addicting 👏🏻
You can put berries underwater but plant it during drought. And u can harvest it consistently
"TheStrongestShape..., but you're kinda inside another beaver"
He was admiring the tower at the end meanwhile the chanel was flooding everywhere
8:33 To the MAX! Love it :D
Day 3 of petitioning the official change of the timberborners series to Timberboners, the only soap opera where you can see beavers pumping their logs!
I am determined
It's in the "maybe" pile...
I love this Series
If you built levee's around the source blocks you could make a dam to build height.
i dont want to say the puppy clips was my favorite part but
make a huge dam right next to the source of water and get a shit load of power with those wheels
Maybe using platforms of varying heights under the aqueduct would make it so that beavers could walk underneath. And look a bit more like a suspended structure. But as always a good video, this has turned into my favourite reality show.
You can't put levees or anything that effects water on platforms
RCE, I like the aqua duct idea that you have, but I wanted to ask; given that it doesn’t seem that you’re using that entire part of the map, what do you think about damming up certain points, and turning that entire section into a dam? That way you don’t have to worry about running out of water.
Im always waiting to see more timberborn
TheStrongestShape, oh wait, you're kinda in another beaver right now - RCE
I love this series.
Basically rce has became an architect himself, as he is building/designing houses
Shame! Shame! Shame!
SHAME!SHAME!SHAME!
This series is my new favorite thing
14:18 strongest shape
Love Vids please please please post them more often also for your wheat area since you lowered the water sauce area you would have to lower your stream and put in a double flood gate that will keep your wheels turning also you need 2.5 grist mills per bakery and for your farming area you need like 2-3 farm houses to keep up have 1 harvesting and 2 planting should help with your food shortage
As always, love seeing what the Timberborners are up to. Though if the rate of growth of the districts is any indicator, Timberboners might not be an inaccurate name either
It's odd seeing the YT Members with houses and sufficient food and water, but we appreciate the care. We may never be so lauded or successful as the Patrons (at least not until the Mightiest Member Tower is finished) but we got good, honest work, and ZERO architects! So I'd chalk that up as a win.

love this series !!!!!!!!
2:28 You... let Neuken work in the bakery?
Sounds like a plan right?
As a lifty I'm pretty satisfied knowing RCE knows that the primary strength of a building is the Shaft!(lift shaft that is)
I just love this serious and your brilliant ideas!
I mean the videos are suspiciously like ImKibitz timber born series
You're trying to say I'm copying him...? Don't be an architect mate 🤦♂️

Very good let's play 👌
FINALLY, he said Timberboners
you can build bruidings on platforms so you can put water pumps and storage tanks over the water. Probably doesn't matter here but if you have limited hydrated land building the water works over the water can be a good way to free up more good farming land.
Nice "Feelin Good" reference!
