Love everything about it reminds me of the land rover discovery

Looks like 2 seperate teams designed the car….the European team for the front and someone from Fiver did the rear.

That is one ugly rear end. Reminds me of the early Toyota Tarago.

I am a sales rep. Current car is a 2021 Santa Fe.. I love the back, will allow me to get much bigger products in.
And a lot more of them . Can’t wait to get this new model.

Looks like a land rover at the front...the back, not so much lol. I've had several Santa Fes over the years and loved them, my current one I've had more than 7 years now - beautiful vehicle, but I'm not so sure about this new look at the rear. It reminds me of some vintage minivans and people movers and I gotta wonder...what was wrong with the pretty slanted lighting arrangement at the back on the previous models?? Heh! I realise the boxy look provides more rear storage tho, so what we lose in looks we gain in space, I guess... As you say, it'll probably grow on us.

Looks good in photos, saw it on the road today and rear looks ugly. Comparing this with Tank 500 (almost same price bracket). Not sure which one is better. Any suggestions ?

Tank is Chinese, Santa Fe is Korean. You can't compare them. Big difference

Very much like the old Landrover Discovery in appearance. Will be a huge competitor for Landrover that has evolved into looking like every other car on the road. Price of $75k for this vehicle is amazing. Can't wait to get my hands one one, trade in my old Discovery which has been a wonderful reliable car for 20 years.

Like the front end and interior but lack of diesel option and poor towing capability is a no go.. also concerned about the long-term with a small turbo charged engine - have put over 240k km on previous diesel Santa FE’s with no problems and low overall running cost..

When the principal design engineer goes on holiday and leaves the junior to design the back of the car.

How do you unlock the car with a dead battery when there is no slide out key in the fob?

I don't remember the method, it's listed in the manual, but it isn't difficult to do.

The rear is definitely ugly. The previous gen Santa Fe grew on us but that rear is quite ugly- interior is good though for family ✅.

This comment is not directly related to this vehicle.but to commentators in general.....I have noticed in recent times that you and others describe them as "cars".. I was led to believe that cars had 2/4 doors a sedan or a wagon.......and when is came to awards they were in a category of their own..
Now for some odd reason......SUV's People Movers. UTES ..EV's and everything else you can drive are called "CARS".
Please please let the REAL cars have their own place to be judged . You can have your SUV UTE or People Mover of the year.
I thought we were trying to drive cleaner vehicles........However what you describe as "cars" are anything but...Strange that fuel economy on your recent tests hardly gets a mention.

The interior doesn’t look very warm or cosy . The rear will take time to get used to and the front is just ok …… just my opinion

I agree when you look at a tank 300 that look amazing with the material used inside there cabin, this just looks like they added a big bulky centerpiece to complete the job anything just to finish it , no thought into it at all .

      @sem5397 Місяць тому

@@taffyftwpocoyoftl7937 I like the tank 300 a lot but I think the front grill looks a bit old . I’ve seen an alternative grill on one and think it looks amazing , it has tank written across it in big bold letters just like ford does with their utes

As a Korean, I also feel that there is no difference between foreigners and Koreans. The back of Santa Fe's vehicle is very ugly, and in fact, when Koreans first launched Santa Fe, it was so ugly that many consumers bought Sorento.😅
Finally, Hyundai Motor Company was the only company that made a profit when the automobile industry fell during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a company that does not focus on the basics of the car and thinks about how to extract more money from consumers.

  • @aikz5

Not sure how much Hyundai paid Drive to praise this ugly crap.
Rear looks like older model of Toyota Tarago and front stolen from Range Rover. No integration between front and rear.

We're happy to share with you that Hyundai paid $0 for our comments here. Our editorial outcomes on reviews aren't paid for. The reality is, Hyundai followed customer feedback for more rear space, which is why the Santa Fe looks the way it does. The zero compromise approach to rear storage doesn't impact how the car drives, or the efficiency of its hybrid system - and that why we've had positive things to say.
