It's haunting to hear the actual plane taking-off. The russians have a legacy written in innocent blood.
It's not - that's a mock-up (or 'fake' as they'd say these days) - the plane in the video is departing from a US airport and is a Boeing 707. The actual one was a 747 departing from Seoul.. But yes, it's a legacy in innocent blood for sure.
I still can't believe this is from the December Ulster Hall gigs. The audience was going nuts both nights and you can't hear or see them in this clip.

my dad was at that one,he had a choice which day he went and he went on the 1st one and missed the lynott one,he lamented that and told it me everytime he put gary moore on the stereo lol,hes dead now and im sat here learning some of garys songs on guitar.
he still kept the ticket stub till the day he died.

初めてレコードで聴いた時、なんてかっこいい曲なんだ、と興奮した。でも歌詞(訳詞)を読んで、まさかあの事件を歌ってたなんて…と驚いた。
出来れば違う題材で歌って欲しかったと思うと共に、もう二度とこんな事があって欲しくないと願う。
