YORK, SC (WBTV) - Willa Mae Moore doesn't remember all the lyrics all the time. Sometimes a worn copy of church hymnals serves as a little refresher. But there's no mistaking when she belts out the sweet tunes she grew up with.

My grandmother is 93 years old and she still sings in church too. She lives in Louisiana and her favorite song is "Hold To God's Unchanging hands". She always says "Children obey your parents, so your days will be long on earth". My aunt Pat lived to be 105 years old. We have a bless family. thank God for all the long livers they must have been faithful to God.

Who were the 5 people that disliked this video. Really!! she isn't auditioning for goodness sake.You missed the point this woman is 103 YRS OLD and has made it through by the grace of God and by singing. This remarkable woman has lived through the hardship of probably having slave parents, the great depression, and prejudices that none of us will ever understand and is still here to sing praises to her Maker. I hope that if I ever get to her age or close to it I too will have a song in my heart.

This made me cry. I miss nothing more in this world than my grandma, Mary Butts. O God, she LOVED singing and praying. She loved God, and she LOVED people. Need more videos like this! :)
It is with great sadness, yet many awesome memories of joy to share that today my great-grandmother, Ms. Willa transitioned to her eternal life at the awesome age of 108! She was, has been, and always will be one of my greatest gems whose legacy and life will always be a part of me. What a bitter-sweet day; yet blessed!

Wow; I did not realize this video was on UA-cam. "Ms. Willa" is my great-grandmother and she is just a living gem to me and my family. Every time I visit her (yes she is still alive in 2015), I take a moment to 1) just sit a gaze at this living legacy and 2) capture her in video. Whether she is just smiling at those who visit her, nibbling at her meals, or sleeping only as graceful as she can, it is an awesome honor, privilege, and humbling blessing to call her my great-grandmother. What a marvelous and timeless blessing to cherish.

Respectfully I have opted to not post them. Perhaps in the future prayers will lead me to do so, but not at this time.

My Grandmother live to be 89 and passed in 2007 we took care of her at home this made me 😭 she was and still is my Heart and Soul this women live through some things exspecially the women from the south born in that era, my Grandmother was the strongest women I've ever known and that was one of her favorite songs coming up on the rough side when you are a strong believer in our Lord and savior. That's what got through life struggle's lord know she needed that being born and raised in the dirty South. 🙌🏾🙏🏾 Amen to this Grandma.
Bless you. I know what it is to lose a grandmother that you love so dearly. I am named after mine and she was also the 1st lady of my church. I miss her every single day. She lived 97 yrs. This May will be 4 yrs. since she left and I feel the loss every day. But like you speak of your grandmother, I too can say that my grandmother was the wisest, strongest, Christian lady I've ever known. It's a blessing for women like us to have known and respected our grandmothers.

Watching this just made me want to cry because I lost my grandmother at the age of 74 and she was always the one that kept me grounded. I think God for the angels because I know she is one of them and watches over me daily. We were 3000 miles apart from one another when she left this world. I saw her in the backseat of the car after she was pronounce going to heaven. I love you mama. Continue to cherish her.

My great grandmother and grandma would sit and tell us stories from the bible, folks tales passed by mouth through our generation and stories they've expericed through life to help us be better people. They were WISE and STRONG "old folk" that everyone respected and disciplined us to be the successful adults (i'm 34) we are today. I can still hear my great grannies voice as a little boy. (who wore a pototo neckless and a penny tied to her ankle) Saying some of her classic quotes.

So much history indeed! My Great Grandma just passed September 18th, and I still hurt. She had 25 grandchildren and 104 great grand children. Oh, and 26 Great Great Grand children before she took her last breath. God has blessed my family, and it's even more special because my great gran produced her children.

my grandfather just celebrated his 95th birthday (jan 29th) and one of my cousins asked him if my mother was going to drive him home; his response was shit naw (he doesn't think my mother can drive), she ain't driving me nowhere, i'm driving myself.
