Auto-tune isn't my favorite either, but he is a good player and an excellent performer. Also the auto-tune makes everything much easier to sing while playing an instrument. Keep in mind, he's probably doing 3-4 hr street gigs with everything depending on him. I get it.

I suspect that preamp plugged directly into the mic probably helps there, too. Is that a Royer mic preamp? I did some more digging, I’m guessing now that it’s a Shure mic preamp. This guy, Dovydas, is just ridiculously good. He is SO in control of his axe that he makes Mark Knopfler, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and even Eddie Van Halen, look like plodders. I get more enjoyment out of these Dovydas busking videos than anything else on youtube. AWESOME !!

@@DovydasMusic Thank you! That Shure microphone sounds incredible live. I watch you move closer and farther away but the mic sound level is consistent. I suspect that preamp plugged directly into the mic probably helps there, too. Is that a Royer mic preamp? I did some more digging, I’m guessing now that it’s a Shure mic preamp. Anyway, this song is great!
