      Like a scrappy string quilt? If so then I think so. I'll have to think about that and try and figure something out. Lol

    I like the pattern. It's simple enough for beginners. I actually met a beginner yesterday at the fabric story who was buying fabric but hadn't even learned how to use her new machine yet. LOL (Personal preference note) The only con for me personally is the amount of tight quilting. It's pretty, but...too much quilting is okay if it's a wall hanging or you are entering shows but it makes a quilt very stiff, sometimes as bad as a furniture mat in the back of a U-Haul. My family prefers open quilting that's cuddly and soft enough to wrap around your body.

    Why did you choose half square triangles instead of the square in a square method? Just curious..

    • @MoonkinStitchery
      @MoonkinStitchery  Рік тому +1

      Half square triangles are usually easier for beginners, but both methods work! You can use your favorite way. 🤗

  • @GrampiesCorner
    @GrampiesCorner Рік тому +3

    Why would you waste so much fabric?? You could have cut those squares from an edge and had enough fabric left for some strip piecing.

    • @MoonkinStitchery
      @MoonkinStitchery  Рік тому +6

      I explained why I trimmed it how I did within the video. 🤗 (But as always, you do whatever you prefer too, which I stated as well. Lol) P.S. Those strips won't be wasted... I never waste a scrap in this house. Lol
