When in the parody of the Shinning Maggie was playing with wooden blocks it can read "Red Rum" The changes in the hair color of Barney and Smithers from first season to the next
The episode when Sideshow Bob was trying to kill Bart, they were doing a homage to Cape Fear. Since the characters only have four fingers, Bob had LUV and HĀT on his knuckles. Pure genius.
I still love Homer scaring Bart, first with a big knife and shouting. Then after he exits, he returns again shouting and brandishing a chainsaw and wearing a hockey mask, causing Bart to scream even louder. I laugh every time I see it.
In Stark Raving Dad, Homer said that he had never heard of MTV or VH1; but in the previous season’s Homer vs. Lisa and the Eighth Commandment, he name-checked both networks while talking about the joys of cable television: “MTV for the kids, VH1 for us…”
The scanner for Maggie also read other things besides the price. In 2013, the scanner read 666 for Maggie in the Treehouse of Horror XXIV episode to match the Halloween theme. In 1995, during a parody episode, the scanner read "NRA4EVER".
A friend of mine (who was a die hard Simpsons fan as I am) and I played a Simpsons Trivia game against each other. After what seems like hours we were tied as we continued to answer each question effortlessly. I then recieved the question, what was Skinner's prisoner number...I was stumped! I remember saying "who would know something like that!" Without any effort my friend immediately answered! Although he majored in business he was a theater minor and has acted in several productions. He had seen Les Miz live a few times...I had never seen it. But I guarantee I have never forgotten it since!
Another aspect of prisoner #24601: the digits add up to 13, a number associated with serious misfortune, symbolizing that Seymour and Valjean before him were just unlucky to have been imprisoned. A subtler echo of Les Mis in other fiction is when characters have other prisoner numbers with digits that still have a sum of 13.
My all time favourite Bart: "Ah, the life of a frog, that's the life for me..." Marge: "Bart, how would you like to spend the next three months in France?" Bart: "France??? Wow!"
3:28 i will die on the hill this joke doesn't land. Logically it should formerly have just been "Chuck's Feed and Seed" and it takes some bizzare mental gymnastics to land on the "punchline" it's apparently trying to go for
If you slow it down to 0.25 speed at 17:37 when they are talking about God's hand, his hand actually shifts to just 4 fingers for a brief moment before going back to 5 fingers.
Well, if it makes sense to have cancelled TV show titles on tombstones, why not write facts instead of a patient names on the placards of insane asylum cells?
7:36 'When you realize that they could've combined their names the other way to create a much more flattering name...' Me: Musty? '...of Misty.' Me: Oh.
"Sneed's feed and seed" has a internal consistent rhyming, they all end with "eed", if you change sneed to chuck, it implies that the shop formerly called "chuck's fuck and suck"
19) the joke about homer remembering the feeling of the film differently from Marge is also a reference to a film that has a ton of differing experience of the same event.
@Mooseman574 it's hard to type it because it's part of the equation she solved, but the equation is to find the derivative of r^3 / 3. She writes in the solution 3^2 dr/3. 3^2 dr/3 is just 3. The derivative of r^3/3 is r^2 dr. Or R D R R. The solution should have said 3 × r^2 dr / 3 instead of 3^2 dr/3.
I know Simpsons writers keep their history inconsistent, but circa what era is the silhouette at 12:16 supposed to be? In the ep with the burlesque house, Marge claims roots in Springfield, but 3rd generation only. Doesn't that ancestral profile look older?
It''s A Clockwork Orange reference. When confronted by his old droogs, now police officers, their badge numbers are 665 and 667. This makes Alex 666, considering that he is in the middle of the group!
Great character development between Homer and Krusty is how they are in reality identical twins, but they were separated at birth and lived different lives
i remember an episode where bart witnessed a crime they had a fake movie scene within the show with a guy named mcgarnacle a clint eastwood type character
1. Mrs. Krabappel= Crab apple 2. All the voice actors voice multiple characters except Yeardly Smith because of her unique voice. I could go on and on I've watched the Simpsons for so long.❤
in Clip 18, the mountain is named after John Swartzwelder, one of the more reclusive and funniest writers. Season holder # 001 was to be expected of Flanders.
I feel like you guys are getting worse and worse at regulating the volume of the clips and narration. It's so unbearable to have to lower and increase it every few seconds.
I don’t know whether I should be happy, or terrified, that the Simpson children seem to be stuck as children forever. On the one hand, they never grow up. But on the other hand, they never grow up! Then again, assuming every episode only represents far less than a whole day in time (apart from where it is explicitly noted otherwise) and we get less than 30 episodes a season, it’s feasible that a whole year hasn’t passed for the family (despite obvious anachronisms, and leaps in technology, between episode one of season one, and whatever the season and episode count are now). I have no doubt that someone has already done the math on this, but I’m not invested enough to look it up… :) Cheers,
Weird thing about number 2: when Troy McClure does ad-break trivia Q&A in one of the specials, the answer about how much Maggie rings up for isn't a price! According to that ep, it's too fast to read when the display says "NRA 4EVER!" 😮
I was today years old, when I learned his name is Matt GroeniNg. For decades, I have thought it was Groenig. I’d almost say this is a Mandela Effect, but I consider myself intelligent enough, and lacking the stubbornness and ego, that I can admit I have just been mistaken all this time… 😂😈🤣 Cheers,
Oh, I think people noticed, there are eagle eyed people out there who notice tiny details and even dissect the story to analyse everything. but yeah, the show is going through a massive censorship editing phase, where many episodes are now banned, or just edited to ton down some of the antics. I just hope it won't spoil the series. Happy 30th birthday to Caepe Fear and Treehouse of Horror 5

When in the parody of the Shinning Maggie was playing with wooden blocks it can read "Red Rum"
The changes in the hair color of Barney and Smithers from first season to the next
I still like when Homer groans, "Waldo, where are you ?" Just then Waldo walks by the kitchen window, looks in while passing and smiles.
That's German for "the Bart, the!"
Well, no one German has ever bern bad!
In Stark Raving Dad, Homer said that he had never heard of MTV or VH1; but in the previous season’s Homer vs. Lisa and the Eighth Commandment, he name-checked both networks while talking about the joys of cable television: “MTV for the kids, VH1 for us…”
Boy I hope somebody got fired for that blunder.
The scanner for Maggie also read other things besides the price. In 2013, the scanner read 666 for Maggie in the Treehouse of Horror XXIV episode to match the Halloween theme. In 1995, during a parody episode, the scanner read "NRA4EVER".
0:54 you didn't notice 'eaten by mistake' which actually happened to Pinchy in "Lisa Gets an "A""
Ya but that episode came out after the treehouse of horror episode
24601 was also used on sideshow Bob's prison uniform. Pretty sure it was the episode when he becomes Mayor but I could be wrong about that.
A friend of mine (who was a die hard Simpsons fan as I am) and I played a Simpsons Trivia game against each other. After what seems like hours we were tied as we continued to answer each question effortlessly. I then recieved the question, what was Skinner's prisoner number...I was stumped! There is great value in majoring in theater. The trivia knowledge flows!
Wow what a sad and boring story
5:53. Another interesting fact. Jean Val Jean stole his officer's identity after he was killed. Sound familiar?
@@ΕυάγγελοςΦώσκολος It does. It's referenced in the episode the Prince and the Pauper.
Another aspect of prisoner #24601: the digits add up to 13, a number associated with serious misfortune, symbolizing that Seymour and Valjean before him were just unlucky to have been imprisoned.

My all time favourite
Bart: "Ah, the life of a frog, that's the life for me..."
Marge: "Bart, how would you like to spend the next three months in France?"
Bart: "France??? Wow!"
There are UA-cam edits that put the McBain movie in order... it's a fun watch!
I was just thinking, and McBain movie would be a blast! I'm gonna go find one 👍
Who doesn't know to pay attention to headstones and credits when the Halloween episodes begin and end?
I think the Mac Bane movie was the number 1 insane details no one noticed in the Simpsons.
3:28 i will die on the hill this joke doesn't land. Logically it should formerly have just been "Chuck's Feed and Seed" and it takes some bizzare mental gymnastics to land on the "punchline" it's apparently trying to go for
The top ten Hans Moleman moments is long overdue.
That and Scruffy the janitor.....
Oh, wrong show!
I was saying Boooo-urns.....
2:35 Flanders pass? Yeah I noticed that at the time.
Bart wearing number 15 is an homage to the legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback Bart Starr
...and the name of the episode is "Bart Star".
If you slow it down to 0.25 speed at 17:37 when they are talking about God's hand, his hand actually shifts to just 4 fingers for a brief moment before going back to 5 fingers.
Krusty may not be exactly Homer in disguise, but they do share one thing: they're both voiced by the great Dan Castellaneta.
Marge’s hidden rabbit ears under her hair. (If you ever played the arcade game)
Before I start watching, WatchMojo, can you please confirm these 20 things are in fact "insane"?
Or even things that went unnoticed?
Before I start watching I can already tell it won't meet your lofty expectations
Well they weren't
Well, if it makes sense to have cancelled TV show titles on tombstones, why not write facts instead of a patient names on the placards of insane asylum cells?
Mildly illogical at best
Amazing video watch mojo,great job.
7:36 'When you realize that they could've combined their names the other way to create a much more flattering name...'
Me: Musty?
'...of Misty.'
Me: Oh.
My first thought was Bette + Krusty = Busty
Isn't the Cider season pass, a Steve Wozniak joke? Founder of Apple whose employee number is 1?
3:30
I don’t get it.
That's exactly what the narrator cites.
As a huge nerd myself, I was really hoping the mistake the teacher made with her math joke in "Bart the Genius" was going to be here. 😂
What's the mistake?
@Mooseman574 it's hard to type it because it's part of the equation she solved, but the equation is to find the derivative of r^3 / 3. She writes in the solution 3^2 dr/3. 3^2 dr/3 is just 3. The derivative of r^3/3 is r^2 dr. Or R D R R. The solution should have said 3 × r^2 dr / 3 instead of 3^2 dr/3.
@ thank you
"Because its a magic 7!"
I know Simpsons writers keep their history inconsistent, but circa what era is the silhouette at 12:16 supposed to be? In the ep with the burlesque house, Marge claims roots in Springfield, but 3rd generation only. Doesn't that ancestral profile look older?
Thanks for sharing, I didn't know about this stuff and been watching the show for years. I always wndered about this stuff
Gotta love the myst library in the 3rd dimension
Fun fact: the shelter scene in Bart's Comet is a reference to the Twilight Zone third season episode, "The Shelter".
The best programme ever the little Easter eggs are amazing 😍 👏
16:52 God's 5 fingers: Perhaps also a nod to the creator of The Simpsons' world being a being with 5 fingers?
When you see Jesus driving around Springfield, the numberplate on his car is "WWID"- What would I do.
Umm...anyone mind explain the "Sneed's Feed & Seed" bit to me?😅
Replace all the `eed` in the words feed and seed with the uck from chuck.
I don't get it?
So simple in retrospect. Thanks.
Gracias
Smh came to the comments just for this comment. Makes sense now 😂
It was Family Guy not family dog 'cause Family Guy originally got canceled and it brought back because of a letter campaign
Didn't notice half of these
It''s A Clockwork Orange reference. When confronted by his old droogs, now police officers, their badge numbers are 665 and 667. This makes Alex 666, considering that he is in the middle of the group!
11:00 In Germany it's Walter.
Great character development between Homer and Krusty is how they are in reality identical twins, but they were separated at birth and lived different lives
This is a good video
I was today years old when I found out that Krusty and Homer are 90% identical 😮
Maybe they’re long-lost cousins or something…
The Springfield Heights Institute of Technology. 😂
🔍 Wow, these hidden gems blew my mind! 🤯
Never look at you iPhone while driving. Marge shows why. Unfortunately, not all people listen to that safety rule.
In the show moderated by Troy McClure they "reveal" that the register displays "NRA" for Maggie 😆
13:02
>gasp< Tod just told his own brother to “go to hell”!
12:59 Rod's eyes!!
The full length McBain movie is here on YT. I watched it at least a decade ago.
Skinner’s 24601 number was an effortless connection to make.
I definitely noticed a lot of these!!!
11:04 I found Wally!!!
The real life Jessica Simpson on a magazine cover held by Lisa Simpson.
In Homer the Heretic, God asks Homer if St. Louis still has a team. Why wouldn’t God know that?
...that's the joke.
Can't stop seeing the M n G now 😂😂
i heard there's tons of references to citizen kane too
When my parents got married,my cousin wrote just marred on the back of their car as she mispelled it!
i remember an episode where bart witnessed a crime they had a fake movie scene within the show with a guy named mcgarnacle a clint eastwood type character
Just now i noticed that ichy film wasnt a mid-nite premire when it was supposed to be!
In Krusty Gets Kancelled , Marge doesn't speak . 😊
11:09 Star Trek Mr Spock on the top row
In the same Krusty comeback episode he made a "play Peoria" joke too if I'm not mistaken....
1. Mrs. Krabappel= Crab apple
2. All the voice actors voice multiple characters except Yeardly Smith because of her unique voice. I could go on and on I've watched the Simpsons for so long.❤
Mrs. Krabappel also equals Mrs. Crabapple from the Our Gang series. *Mind Blown*!
RIP Marcia Wallace.
Wait! Her name is Krabappel? I've been calling her Krandel! Oh I've been making an idiot out of myself and no one's told me!
@Punchy361 ❤️❤️❤️
In the Simpsons, God has 5 fingers, and humans have 4. Futurama goes one further with robots only having 3.
Otto is on the painting next to Marge's silhouette.
4:33 I think it just proves how bad the teaching staff and the administration at Springfield Elementary School actually is!
in Clip 18, the mountain is named after John Swartzwelder, one of the more reclusive and funniest writers. Season holder # 001 was to be expected of Flanders.
What does Pious mean 12:43
Homer is the worst animated father on television, tied with Peter Griffin, followed by Stan Smith. Notice a pattern?
Nagging wives maybe? Loving fathers? I'm not sure what you mean.
"20 insane things you have never noticed in The Simpsons except when the show itself told you about half of them".
Homer also looks like Bender from Futurama.
@@MsUltrafox That was what Matt Groening intentionally did.
@@evadedenbach1226 Bart and Lisa said it in Simpsorama.
The Simpsons Futurama crossover episode.

whoever writes the titles for your videos is 'insane':)
13:13 They're wearing the number of the devil himself:666!!!
god I remember playing family dog on the snes.
Simpsons predicted 5 fingers?!
Mcbain…!!😂
*pays for it's self after 16 visits*
24601 was also the prison number for Side Show Bob in one episode. 🤠
Holy Crap, 35 seasons.....

I’ll wait…
Rashomon "One of the most influential films of the 20th century."
Definitely not.
Hello good morning 🎉🎉🎉

Bart's locker number is used in Futurama. I can't remember what for atm, maybe a safe code or credit card?
I'm sure that the four clocks behind Homer when he's in Heaven have some significance other than just one of them is for Heaven.
24601 is a reference to Les Mis. It is Jean Val Jean's prison number in the musical
Yes? Quite correct, but it's not like the video failed to note that.
Bart: Guess who?
Sideshow Cecil: Merris?
>clever fraiser joke, as Cecil is played by fraisers brother niles in Fraiser, whos wife is called Merris
my fave is Danger Liker magazine
Have a suggestion if you haven’t done already, characters and movies and stuff that play by the same person
Family dog was a good fun snes game back in the day so at least the failed show made a fun game
I was today years old, when I learned his name is Matt GroeniNg. For decades, I have thought it was Groenig. I’d almost say this is a Mandela Effect, but I consider myself intelligent enough, and lacking the stubbornness and ego, that I can admit I have just been mistaken all this time… 😂😈🤣
Cheers,
The M. G. thing is a monogram not a signature
dont get the chucks reference
Say the name again, but replace all the “eeds” with “ucks”… so “Cheed’s Seed and Feed” becomes “Chuck’s *ucks and *ucks”…
NONE of these were UN-noticed.
Wait, I thought the cash register says "NRA forever"?
It's just one of the hundreds of radical, right-wing messages inserted into every show by creator Matt Groening.
