An absolute laugh out loud at "there ya go, do the same thing again and see what happens." I can't tell you how many times I've said that verbatim. Loving the content my guy!
Agree with some of the other commenters on taking some time and working on the putting stroke I think you’ll save some strokes there or at least take out some of the stress for that 2nd putt. But major improvement on the course management we love that 🤘🏻
Nice driving iron, birdogey! Good strikes (on the early holes)…and dude, for close putts for birdies, pull out that darn pin and give yourself some time to read and make it! Go go go!
Course management is key. A pro golfer has a great round with 3-4 birdies. Why do we think we can do better? Par is the goal. Jon Sherman “The Four Foundations of Golf” is a great book that dives into the numbers and the mindset of good course management. Never shoot at a flag, avoid short side misses, avoid “blow ups” (2 or more over par on a hole). I started playing again this year after a 15+ year hiatus. I started with a 28 HC, I’m now at 17.3. Upgrade my clubs with a combo set - Facebook Marketplace and Callaway pre-owned clubs 🤣. Taylormade R7 driver and 3 wood, Callaway RazrX 3-4-5 hybrids, Callaway Edge 6-SW, Vokey SM7 52°, Callaway Tuttle Putter. You can spend a ton of money, and I love your journey. But you gotta know, I watch sometimes just to learn what not to do 😅.
@@birdogeyof course. I meant no disrespect. I’m enjoying it and it’s different from the short form I’m used to laughing with. Also, 17.2 handicap here and winter golf in UK is awful so I’d take winter Florida anyway
5:45 might be the worst green reading crime in history. Respect for the confidence you had though, lmao. Judging from that and some other putts you lined up, you could save a lot of strokes in practice without swinging a club. Hop on any course with a proper yardage book and green map, and go out there with a ball in your pocket. Pick a spot or two on each green and just roll it with your hand trying to predict the break. Consult the green map for the hole after you do this. When you're unsure of a break or a green the first thing you should do is identify the highest point in the green. That should be straightforward and obvious, then look at other high and low points on the green to layout a mental landscape. This is much easier than narrowly looking down a putt's line and trying to gauge the slope from a yard or two wide path. Cheers, good luck.

Thank you! So happy it’s doing well!

I agree. I have my next lesson coming up at the beginning of December and I’m going to start locking in
take a long look at your putting stroke, do some drills for hitting a straight line putt, it just looks real messy atm.
I agree. I’ve been so focused on the other parts of my game and I haven’t been keeping up with my putting practice
Your game is getting really nice!
Thank you! Everything is paying off!
Love this !!! Nice job man golf is hard…fun like you said that’s the idea of it lol
It sure is
Seeing a different shape on your tee shots is inspiring
Isn’t it!?
1:11 man I love those eagles, too

Thank you!! And I actually leave the pin in so it’s easier for the viewers to see where the hole is.
@ Yes I know that about you, but if you got a nice birdie putt ahead of you, screw us, get comfy in all aspects of the putt, and sink that puppy. ;)

gotta upgrade that driver, bets on that if you do you will see your HC drop real quick.
@ I upgrade my driver every year, because the manufacturer promises 5-10% distance increase. I now hit my drives 750 yards ….
@@Papa-Bogey it’s just a suggestion. The R7 that came out in 2004… tech has improved.
@ maybe an R11s … I don’t want to get too crazy.
4th hole…you basically talked yourself out of that birdie, bro…lol
I really did 😂
Consistency is key. Unfortunately that hasn’t happened yet.
Good luck at state!
Course management! I’m working on this myself. The driving iron is an interesting choice! What model did you choose?
My fitter put me into a Titleist U505 4i. Utility/driving iron. Whatever you want to call it haha
@ nice. I hope to get my swing sorted out and get fit for clubs one day
If you ever make it out to colorado gimme a holler, I work at a decent course and have a rippin' mustache as well
U pull EVERY PUT work on that stroke 💪
That’s 100% on my list. I need a good putting drill
You’re gonna have to flip your name to bogirdy 😂
😂
Would you be offended if I did a series kind of similar? I want to do "Go from 40hcp to scratch" 😅
I want to do it with no lessons (None around me), municipal courses, and play tournaments etc. I just don't want everyone to hate for "Copying" you 😅
Your not copying as Birdogey is telling us how much he’s spending.
Ya my series is more about quantifying the time and money.

Me as an 11 year old is better at golf than you as my hcp is 22
goated
How can I get one of those hats? “I’m not a bad golfer, I’m just inconsistent”. Christmas is coming up. 😊

I’ll see if my course has a yardage map!
4:08 It’s ok my brother we know you missed the putt.
😂
Nicer tempo
Thank you!
Train putting. it is VERY messy
I agree 😂
Can you stop taking practice swings on the wrong side of the ball its hurting your game. WTF also.
Its scary how bad you are
