Looks like your new queen doing well in that apimaye. Good idea on putting swifter sheets on edges. I like your traps. Thanks for the video. Take care Brad
stopping by to say hi and check up on you .... looks like those swiffer sheets work pretty well. I will have to try them if I get shb again (I've been pretty fortunate that the last 2-3 years I haven't had any huge numbers of them) ... I did lose 2 hives in 2015 from shb though.
I was finally able to beat back my hive beetle numbers in my one yard which was full of them. The sheets were definitely the biggest help. The oil traps I used helped but felt like a 1 month solution. My beetle barns did not kill many as far as I can tell. Good video!
Hello Brad been keeping bees 7 years and never use the sheets . Not that I didn't have shb. I always used peppermint oils and traps. I bought some sheets today to try. Thanks for the video.
Thanks, I had no idea that you could use swifter pads. I put in those plastic traps over a month ago and only caught a couple of beetles, using oil. Every time I check the bees I spend more time playing "beetle smash" than anything else. This looks like a game changer. 👍
on my first year I had to deal with those because the store I got my bees from illegally imported nucs that had SHB >.< they're no fun. Even though the beetles are gone from my area, I still worry a bit. I REALLY want them to stay away for good >.
I use oil baseboards in all my hives and have no pest in my hives and i only use unsented baby oil.

Thanks for stopping in. 👍👍👍
The hive beetle things are interesting. It's a Blessing we don't have them here.
The roughed up sheets make sense.

they work great just put them close to the edge where your bee are pushing the beetles. thanks for watching
Swiffer sheets are my favorite hive beetle prevention tool.

Another great video. I have the same brand vaporizer that uses the cord, time to upgrade..
You will not regret it , it's so fast and easy.

I will definitely give those sheets a try.
Nice video. We are very fortunate don't have hive beetles at all.

Hey Brad! Looking good! Those beetles are spawns of Satan.
