Why are there so little views on this? You need more on something as good as this.

Not quite as bitonal as you might think, since the most altered B dominant chord is a mode of the C melodic minor scale.
    B C D Eb F G A = (as a B chord) root b9 #9 3 #11 #5 dom 7.
Depends how you use it of course...

Another banger. I prefer longer format but short and sweet is always nice too. I see you've added Infinite Brass to your template. How are you liking it?

Thank you! Infinite Brass is awesome for exposed lines and bendy brass 🙂

Given the C in the bass, is that a B/C or is it a C dim Maj7? The only difference is whether you spell it C-D#-F#-B or C-Eb-Gb-B. Same “notes” on the keyboard. The diminished analysis is arguably more traditional. It might even make a difference to how the brass tune it if they’re thinking harmonically rather than going by ear. Of course, if the mockup is the master, you can call it anything you like.

This comment only applies for working with live harpists, but harp pedals tune every individual letter note name across the entire harp's range either flat, natural, or sharp. For example, tuning all C's sharp, all D's natural, all E's flat, etc. So, harps only have 7 of the 12 chromatic notes available at any one time. I could be wrong, but this might make the octatonic run impossible unless the harpist can change the pedals partway through, since an octatonic run requires 8 different pitches. But in virtual orchestration we don't have this limitation, so have at it! :)

Good point! But I believe I skipped a note to fix that issue (haven't checked back but it's what I usually do). So something like C, Db, E, F#, G, A, Bb would work in that situation. Good observation!
