    Do you think you can do another similar video, but you picking out different orchestral combinations from preexisting compositions? Maybe movie scores that use different orchestral colors to help depict different environments or moods?

    Nice video for demoing instrument combinations. Thanks you.
    I suppose there must be 10s of ways to do this and it all depends on which instruments/libraries/players are available to you. So I wish you could have opened one or two tracks to display the track, the player and instrument combination etc.
    Also what is this blow controller you're using towards the end? Does it replace a keyboard? Why did you use it at that particular instant?

    Excellent video. I just have one question regarding the celesta doubling the flute : are they really playing the same octave, or is the celesta transposed on your keyboard like a real one and actually sounding an octave higher ? It's way I think I heard, but there's so much high harmonics in a celesta that I might be wrong ... That's why I would love a confirmation.

    At the French Horn + Orchestral Chime example you said the timpani would too high for it, but I thought Timpani was a low instrument, specially since it has different possible sizes?

      He was saying that the music written for French Horn would be too high for the Timpani, not the other way round. He just said it quickly in a lazy-English-speaker kind of way which all us native English speakers do, lol.

      Are you on a 16gb RAM machine or 32gb? I've tried this same approach and I'm not sure why sometimes I get CPU spikes. I don't know if it's because I'm using Kontakt 7 instead of 6. But I was curious how you got your template to work this quickly and smooth.

    • @ZachHeyde
      @ZachHeyde  Рік тому

      I'm on a 64gb RAM Mac Pro, with 20 cores, so it's super powerful! Often it just comes down to what your machine can handle.

    • @nealpolitan_6th
      @nealpolitan_6th Рік тому

      @@ZachHeyde so even with a super power machine, you're concerned of saving resources?

    • @nealpolitan_6th
      @nealpolitan_6th Рік тому

      @@ZachHeyde would it be possible if you could do a video on setting up an orchestral template for the rather average composer who may not have such a powerful machine? I'd be curious to have that perspective.
      Most UA-camrs share their template setups with countless tracks, instrument libraries, and fx plugins but almost all of them are running super spec'd out machines. Some of us can't afford those super power resources, so it would be very helpful to know of other options to still have a larger template but not use as many of the resources for someone on newer machine but with specs 16GB or 32GB RAM and maybe slower CPU.
