    Oh stop...Barbara is Arthur's widowed wife, and she is great on this number. Johnny, and Arthur were the originators of the NEW YORK DOLLS...They put the band together in NYC. Sylvain came up with the name, and they all had a big part in the formation, and sound as a band. So lets celebrate the music. It was, and still is revolutionary.

    When talking about the best rock n roll guitarist, I can't think of one I'd rather have than Johnny Thunders. He just plays with so much raw attitude and soul that it's hard to think of a better one. I'm not talking about being technically gifted, just pure rock n roll. A few I can think of that play with the same attitude are Keith Richards and Chuck Berry, but give me Thunders.

    I need to speak up and inform U all of the truth... I am the blonde onstage singing w/ JT... I m Arthur's widow , Barbara . He didn't throw me out the window. He was raging drunk and threw himself out the window cause the cops were breaking down the door and he didn't want to go to jail. His excuse was..." I was aiming for the pool but I missed..." He LUVED me and I LUVED him but it was star-crossed. He saw David on TV that day and raged into a drunken stuper. About the show... I never rehears

    Couldn't agree more. I think one of the biggest tragedies in the history of R&R is that the original Dolls never reunited. So many owe them. The version of the Dolls that exists today is OK, but it's too little, too late whereas before it was too much too soon. RIP Johnny, Jerry, and Arthur.

    I'm so proud of JT, Nolan and Kane
    for giving such an awesome performance,
    and only wish I was there to witness this.
    And it's too bad Dave and Sylvain couldn't make it 'cause it would of been perfect.

    Johnny is probaly not too interested in making lots of money, very uderrated and influential to alot of punk rock guitarist especially like Steve Jones of sex pistols. Still alot of people dont know who he is today..yeah heroin is a terrible addcition, but he couldve been murdered, who knows when youre dealing w/heavy drugs..when he puts on his Gibson Les Paul junior it became a machine gun..an american orignal

    So is the blonde on stage the one that cut Arthur's hand in the 70's, or is that a different one?

    • @aleksanderness8142
      @aleksanderness8142 10 років тому +2

      "The blonde on stage" was infact Arthur's Wife, Barbara. She was not the one to cut his hand in 74/75. :)

      Gene Short I have no idea actually, all I know is that one story about the knife incident. I believe she was his girlfriend at the time, but thats it. Hopefully she's doing alright :)
      Btw, I recommend the movie about Arthur Kane, called "New York Doll" from 2005. Check it out!

    • @gshort78
      @gshort78 10 років тому +2

      Aleksander Ness If we trust what's on the Arthur Kane wikipedia page, (haven't really cared enough to validate) it says that Connie dated Dee Dee Ramone after Arthur and had a similar violent relationship.
      I've seen an ad for that movie. Looked interesting, I'll take your recommendation and go find it.

    @gamesfrontiers I think you might be missing out on a lot of music if TALENT is a requirement for you. I mean, truly think about it. It may sound absurd, but.. Nobody wants to sit there and watch Jimi Hendrix play his guitar crazy good for 40 minutes EVERY SINGLE TIME they want to experience music. People who put together simple songs have a talent too. I mean, get with it. Come on.
