Dyson Sphere Program is a sci-fi simulation game with space, adventure, exploration and factory automation elements where you can build your own galactic industrial empire from scratch.
In the distant future, the power of science and technology has ushered a new age to the human race. Space and time have become irrelevant thanks to virtual reality. A new kind of supercomputer has been developed - a machine whose superior artificial intelligence and computing capability will push humanity even further. There is only one problem: there isn’t enough energy in the whole planet to feed this machine.
You are a space engineer in charge of a project launched by the space alliance COSMO, tasked with a massive undertaking: constructing Dyson Spheres (a megastructure that would orbit around a star, harnessing all its power and energy) to produce the energy that humanity needs. Only a few decades ago, Dyson Spheres were considered a hypothetical, impossible invention - but now it’s in your hands… Will you be able to turn a backwater space workshop into a galaxy-wide industrial production empire?
Neutron stars, white dwarfs, red giants, gaseous and rocky planets… There is a big and varied universe out there, waiting for you to gather all its resources.
Every playthrough will be unique: your universe will be procedurally generated every time you start a new game. There will be different types and distribution of stars, planets and resources. Will you manage to thrive and build your Spheres, no matter what the universe throws at you?

Personally I would only go watch Twitch when it'll start burning to the ground until not even smallest spec of memory remains. that's how much i hate that stupid platform.

Love how organic this start is going. The tutorial side is a bit low though regarding ratio's etc. But I guess it's less of an issue in DSP at the start
especially amazing to notice this is a replay of twitch stream, instead of just using the twitch footage :D
Oh no this is not a reply of a past stream they are two totally different saves, just sharing the same seed. Ratios we will get into in the future but for now I just want to get a steady start going

This looks very interesting; I might have to revisit DSP over Christmas. I was half expecting them to go the DLC route even though the game is technically still in EA. Very pleasantly surprised that they didn't.
Anyone notice the new intro is taking about you not the enemy.
You start form Zero Build, expand and dim the stars with Dyson Spheres. You are Dark Fog.
Neat idea, but it does show the Dark Fog structures in the cutscene, not the player's
@@redstonewolfx its misdirection you are hearing the story form the form the other side this why its focused on them ;)
if you read the backstory you both had/have the same purpose. Dark Fog was the first attempt, fully autonomous self replicating AI that was sent out to make dyson spheres to power the centrebrain. It started going weird and then they all cut off communication, so the second attempt includes a human consciousness, you, with the same goal. Essentially, you are their replacement.

How long before JD notices that copper smelter feeding the ammo factory doesn’t have a sorter to feed it copper ore?

He just needed to increase the difficulty, this setting is too easy for him (!)
I really hope we get our clearing drones and nightlight add-ons back soon. I forgot what a pain in the butt it is to clear the land by hand and build in the dark lol.
I hope the night light comes back real soon too, I used night light to move the angle of the sun for screen shots all the time! It was only a visual thing but often meant I didn't have to wait around 10min for the planet to rotate to get the screen shot!

31:45 - what is there to question you're turning coal (~85% Carbon and small amounts of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen and Sulfur) into graphite (100% Carbon), but well to be fair, the game puts a lof of processes requiring heat under the label of "smelting"

noticed on your screen with steel. That lets you build wind turbines on the water with no foundation. That's one many are missing.
Does JD realise he hasn't connected the 2nd Blue Cube stack to the belt......
also missed the input sorter on copper smelter hooked to bullet making assembler.

You could have fuel replacing by an interrupt "Fuel: coal > 0" or "fuel: wood > 0" then go to refueling station, which pulls out all the wrong fuel and refuels with the new fuel type.
I started to rewatch this series, (downloading and then using 85% speed which is my sweat spot for a formerly super duper smart and fast thinking guy with an oxidized brain or something...) because I'm missing something getting from spaghetti to planned out Blueprints around yellow science (yeah, should've be earlier I think, but that's when I noticed I was fk'd) and while rewatching, this time, I'm picking up all the keybinds for doing things easier and my right hand has already thanked me. He estimates he's messing around > 30% less and won't be hurting me as much if I play for too many hours in a row (!) Sometimes taking glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate just doesn't cut it... old war injuries hauling uber non-slim ppl down stairs in stair chairs in EMS for a decade. I don't recommend it... wait, I'm not a doc, so I can't _legally_ recommend anything... 🤨
