FWIW, I cook it for 3:45 (I think 3-1/2 is not quite long enough) ...I always stir in some bacon bits, or sliced ham, even some greek yogurt, and a little Pico Pica hot sauce ... then, it's quite good for a "midnight snack."

I just ate it.. this is how I make it...:
Remove lid and cheese
Add to line
Cook for 3:35 minutes
Put in all of cheese
Mix for about 2 mins so its creamy with 0 chunks
Eat
Btw the white powder is starch so it thickens sauce and so its safe
