Who would not love to have Carl Sagan , one of greatest minds ever lived, as their beloved high school teachers. Look at the joy in his face while been asked a question ,why earth is round , by a child..👌💝
in all episodes of the original Cosmos, even today's version with Neil, this -- this classroom scene is still my absolute favourite. you see Carl Sagan, an educator, in his prime & in his element. what i'd give to be like one of these kids, 12/13 yrs old & have Carl Sagan in for a day as a science teacher.
My child was in that class. Carl inspired my child that day thus that years later n today, my child is working with NASA. A word can inspire that spark and that is all it needed to start the domino effect.
I just recently heard of Carl. I remember watching his documentary on VHS my dad bought me when I was a kid in the mid-90s when I was a 7-year-old boy at that time. Respect to Carl.
This is how you teach kids, not some religious zealot brainwashing them and telling them they’re all born as sinners. Would have been awesome to have Sagan as my science teacher.
Your behavior here is not how you teach kids either. Carl Sagan was ...not... an "atheist", and also did not believe in bullying the religious. He simply believed on being open minded and not being in a hurry to rush to conclusions.
I think Carl probably enjoyed that time very much......feeding young minds, I wonder how many of those students studied science as a major in their life after that day, thank you Carl👊👍💪
Carl Sagan would be immensely disapointed with the curent status of manned flights,we are a far far cry of what he expected, this ep no.7 shows what he hoped man would achieve in the near future.
I think Carl would have been amazed and impressed with the quality of the new Webb telescope!! Now that potato moon of Mars ... sure bears a resemblance to the Imperial Death Star! 😆😆😆

Made me cry. I love Carl Sagan, and the perspective that comes from knowing what we are a part of.

Carl Sagan is my answer to the question of who I would like to have dinner with alive or dead.

I wouldn't say that Phobos resembles the Death Star very much, but Saturn's moon *_Mimas_* definitely does!
